  1. How about a line drive to the face. Being a pitcher is a scary proposition imo.
  2. Always been reluctant, I let me kid play till he was in grade 10 and thankfully it wasn't because I told him to, he was just too small. I didn't want him playing because of risk of paralysis, then over time CTE got better well known. This Damar situation is a real fluke imo, could happen in almost any contact sport.
  3. I think it is a viable option unless the NFL has provisions for cancelled game and playoff seedings. Of course if they do they should have already been articulated to the public,
  4. The teams was or is in a collective state of shock, that is why. And you need some adequate time to prepare safely for an NFL game.
  5. Thinking the same thing. How are the Bills going to clear their heads on a shortened week and beat the desperate Patriots lead by the dark for evil overlord who is plotting right now how to best exploit this tragedy. Sorry to say, that is what pros do.
  6. Cancel the season for the Bills. No forfeiting the games for the Bills is ridiculous imo. Again, these are pros. They see pain and risk their life every snap.
  7. Yea, at this point flipping a coin is a realistic option. Again, I harp on the total inadequacy of this Billion $ business if they dont have some tie breakers to consider permanently canceled games. No giving both teams a tie is not a fair option, that basically hands the #1 seed to the Chiefs.
  8. If they dont play this weekend then you can pretty much cancel the year. They are pros, as distasteful and painful as it is, I think they HAVE to play this weekend or just cancel the entire year (which is not a realistic option).
  9. IF the NFL & NFLPA didn't prepare for this than this Billion $ industry is poorly, poorly managed. There should be some tie breakers to allot for permanently cancelled games. which appears likely without MAJOR disruptions league wide. Games are subject to cancellation for any number of acts of god. The game should be permanently cancelled.
  10. The guy that I hope can retire and does so with a SB Ring would be Mitch Morse. I can agree with all your emotions. I went to Grad school at Tulane and any joy from their most important football game since 1939 ended for me last night.
  11. So what do you think the Bills should do. Are the Bills not supposed to care about playoff seeds post this tragedy? Should they all take time off until we know Damar's status? Should we just forfeit the rest of our games? I think every poster here realizes his life/long term health is more important than a football game. We dont need to be lectured about it. If it is too raw for you to even THINK about it, fine by me. Tragedies happen, I know it is a bummer but life goes on.
  12. Had he gone into the locker room than, no, the game would have likely been going on. People are getting all sanctimonious and outraged if people try to discuss the reality of the consequences of this tragedy.
  13. Leave your emotions to the side. The poster had a rational, non-emotional response to how to best try fix the situation and keep the integrity or fairness of the game. Of course, RIGHT NOW the bills probably could care less but IF they ever go back to playing, and if they "don't care" than they shouldn't even bother playing.
  14. No. But it will only make the medical response better league wide.
  15. JUST not yesterday. How many parents wouldn't let their kids play due to threat of paralysis or now known emerging threat of CTE. Been a harsh and brutal game and it will continue to be until they turn it into a "safe" game like the pro bowl.
  16. Love the sanctimonious new age psychoanalysis.
  17. Let’s be careful, we looked unbeatable after frst two weeks crushing the world champs on the road, be careful on your pronouncements
  18. Interesting. If this is true I wonder if this is the deliberate strategy of Kromer/McDermott? If it is, once again it underscores how so much is put on Allen. Not many qbs can be as accurate or as reliable on rollouts as Allen is. He has made quite a few incredible plays notably the td as time expired in the first half. And Josh”s roll outs naturally the will increase his time to throw, once again it is all on him,
  19. Miami should come clean already about Tua's first concussion, anyone with any common sense show the results of his first concussion. I think it was the blowhard Michael Ervin or Maybe Keyshawn Johnson that stated yeah, it could have been his back, that happens, what a farce. Yes too early to tell but I think Mick White is the real deal. They way he played with cracked ribs, the guy is a gamer and people will follow him, actually they already do.
  20. Tyrod wasn't bad at all, he just didn't have the mentality to be a #1 QB, was far too afraid to take any risks, the opposite of Josh Allen.
  21. Point well taken. Just because he cleared protocol doesnt mean he is playing (unless I missed some statement saying he would play) , i think everyone should slow down on the assumption he will. I think the Bills are competent enough to provide Mitch with the best equipment available.
  22. Amazing to me we brought back in John Brown. He hasnt caught a ball since he left the Bills in 2020. I remember when he first came here, compared to the rest of the talent we had up until Diggs, it was so unusual for the Bills to have a legit #1 WR. A reminder of how far this team has come in a very short time.
  23. actually all we need is a 4 game win streak (assuming no #1 seed) to win the Super Bowl,
  24. Super Bowl #3 was even worse, he was concussed almost the entire second half.
