  1. This is also true. NFL defensive coordinators are masters at figuring out opposing offenses. What keeps offenses scoring is the fact that they are continuously evolving. Without any offensive evolution, most NFL offenses would be figured out within a season or two. That's usually how long it takes for defenses to adjust to new innovations (e.g. the Wildcat).
  2. I lean more towards offensive line being the problem. The college game today is so different from the pro game, even the modern pass-happy pro game. With all the spread offenses and quick release passing attacks, linemen in many college offenses don't really have to "block" with technique... they just have to "get in the way" for a little bit. Likewise, run blocking is almost becoming a lost art despite being the traditionally easier of the two forms of blocking, simply because college teams aren't always balanced. And I think you're seeing that trickle down into the NFL. Even in a pass happy NFL, you still need to be able to run the football or these defenses will figure you out within a few plays. I think it's also why many of the last few drafts have been "stacked" with deep talent on the front seven. Bad offensive line play might be as responsible for that as the good front seven play is.
  3. Lol. That isn't even what Lidar does or how it works. Ohhhh boy...
  4. He's furry, or he's a furry? The difference is notable.
  5. As if those two knuckleheads weren't enough.
  6. It's a classic case of getting so mired in the details that the simple and obvious get overlooked because you can't see the forest for the trees.
  7. But if they moved the civilians too early that might have tipped the Turks off that the Kurds were ready and prepared. You know, since they’ve been preparing for months and all. No. It’s much better to not tell the civilians and let as many of them die as possible by not giving them an advanced warning to flee.
  8. That might take some independent thought. Hopefully he's a real independent thinker.
  9. I more so want the scoop on this conversation since I'm a huge WWII history buff. Never mind, I figured it out. It's about the new movie with the crappy CGI. Zzzzz.
  10. Why am I reading about the SBD Dauntless in a Thursday Night Football thread?
  11. Basically this. Mahomes is more of a proven commodity at this point.
  12. Well for starters, it seems that Duke is better at catching balls. I think that's kind of important for a receiver, but I'm not an expert or anything.
  13. Idk, but the Bills even blew that one year. Can't remember if it was with Jauron or Gailey, but either way we finished 7-9.
  14. I think I still go with Mahomes in hindsight at this point, because a large part of the D's success is based on coaching and culture (team defense) imo. Even if the D isn't elite in a Bills+Mahomes version of 2019, I think it'd still be at least average if not top 12.
  15. Let the animals wipe themselves out.
  16. Almost felt like Oliver did that on purpose to kill the Titans rhythm and give the coordinator more time to call a defense.
  17. Allen taking a page from Brady’s book.
  18. This kicker. Maybe I should try out.
  19. Wow I’m almost surprised that wasn’t overturned. Missed FG!!!!!
  20. If they change this penalty....
  21. Are you serious with these calls?
