100% spot on afaik. When I was in my teens, the most I knew about offenses and formations and whatnot was pretty much predicated on Madden for a while lol. Once I began really digging into the X's and O's of football, and specifically EP, I remember thinking "Wait, so some teams motion a receiver and depending on where that receiver motions to, it can alter the OTHER receiver's routes, all at the same time?! That was the "think outside the box" moment for me and was when I really started to gain an appreciation for how creative plays in football can be. One final thought: when people say Brady is a "system" QB, this is exactly what they are referring to. People say the system makes it "easy" on Brady, and while that's true to a point, it still takes a smart, capable QB to run this highly complex offense. All the EP does is help maximize the production of those who can handle it, assuming you have the smarts on the rest of your offense to implement it. We're lucky Josh has a big arm AND a big brain.

I feel like BB knows this team better than some of the Bills fans and posters. Guy does his homework... damn. John Warrow's questions can get a little bit "out there". Not only that, his delivery is awful. It takes him 50 seconds stumbling over his own words to ask a yes or no question. His articles are okay, but his interviewing leaves a lot to be desired.

First and foremost, I'm saying then as now, we simply still don't know enough yet to make a determination either way, yet here we have people calling it a game at halftime when the score is tied. I honestly can't tell right now but I think there's more investigation warranted after reading the complaint. I'm also saying that I'm fairly certain most people would take the exact opposite stances regardless of their inherent hypocrisy in order to protect their egos, but that's politics. Because remember what political beliefs are: they are beliefs, which means that they are choices based on faith to some degree. When most people are confronted with a stark reality that goes against their political beliefs, they have two choices: change/modify your political beliefs and admit that you were wrong about views you deeply held, or adapt your view of reality to fit your politics. Most people don't have the ability or willpower to overcome their egos; we are human after all. This is politics. Any human being who looks at you with a straight face and tells you they're completely unbiased is one of the most self-deluding and potentially dangerous people you could meet (if they were in a position of power namely). We all have our biases because we all have a unique set of life experiences. I know most of this is obvious when spelled out, but when we get caught up in the moment we let our guard's down. For me personally, I think I would probably be leaning more on the President's side in 2011 simply because of the track records of the two up until their 3rd years in office, but in both cases I would want to see more. I think the vote in the Senate to release the transcripts would have been unanimous in 2011 as it was in 2019. I'm not ready to swallow the pill that everything in Washington is political and that the rare person who can transcend politics is no longer rare, but extinct. If that's true then we ought to scrap our whistleblower laws altogether. Also for the record, that Schiff parody was really ***** stupid. If you have good evidence you let the evidence speak for itself. That was too much of a lawyer's courtroom maneuver in front of a jury than it was a Congressperson performing oversight. We haven't transcended beyond the politics of this situation into actual justice yet. A parody like that only flies if it's BLATANTLY obvious at this point, and it's just not.

Some of you are trying to say that if this EXACT situation happened to Obama in 2011 that you (the same people rushing to Trump's defense) would also be rushing to Obama's defense as Republicans in Congress tried to use a whistleblower complaint and a transcripted phone call to impeach a duly elected president, right? Hahaha. Some of you would be jumping on this and get caught up just as hard if not harder as some of the Never-Trumpers are now. The history of Obama's presidency post 2010 midterms makes that very clear. Imagine #WalkAway referring to Republicans telling other Republicans to change party because Obama was being unfairly besmirched by the opposition at every level.

If the president is the target, I don't think that's the pertinent question. The question is: is there enough evidence to try him in the Republican-controlled Senate, as it will be the Senate's interpretation of High Crimes that matters. The only way impeachment on Trump goes all the way forward is if there is quid pro quo, imo.

One thing that crossed my mind: the president isn't the only official that can be impeached. Is it possible that they will simply impeach the DNI for not turning the complaint over to Congress within 7 calendar days after receiving it from the IG?

All I'm saying is that Zelensky's comment doesn't exonerate the president. I haven't decided either way yet. I'm still in wait and see mode on this whole topic for now.

It wouldn't be in Zelensky's interest to throw Trump under the bus. That conflict of interest hurts his credibility on this matter.

Before the draft, I was hoping that Allen would go first to Browns in the All-Time Brownsie move, Mayfield third, and that we'd get Darnold at 7. At this point I'm much happier with Allen than I think I would be with Darnold. Allen just fits this team and city like a damn glove.

(5) (A) An employee of an element of the intelligence community, an employee assigned or detailed to an element of the intelligence community, or an employee of a contractor to the intelligence community who intends to report to Congress a complaint or information with respect to an urgent concern may report such complaint or information to the Inspector General. (B) Not later than the end of the 14-calendar-day period beginning on the date of receipt from an employee of a complaint or information under subparagraph (A), the Inspector General shall determine whether the complaint or information appears credible. Upon making such a determination, the Inspector General shall transmit to the Director a notice of that determination, together with the complaint or information. (C) Upon receipt of a transmittal from the Inspector General under subparagraph (B), the Director shall, within 7 calendar days of such receipt, forward such transmittal to the congressional intelligence committees, together with any comments the Director considers appropriate. (D) (i) If the Inspector General does not find credible under subparagraph (B) a complaint or information submitted under subparagraph (A), or does not transmit the complaint or information to the Director in accurate form under subparagraph (B), the employee (subject to clause (ii)) may submit the complaint or information to Congress by contacting either or both of the congressional intelligence committees directly. (ii)An employee may contact the congressional intelligence committees directly as described in clause (i) only if the employee— (I) before making such a contact, furnishes to the Director, through the Inspector General, a statement of the employee’s complaint or information and notice of the employee’s intent to contact the congressional intelligence committees directly; and (II) obtains and follows from the Director, through the Inspector General, direction on how to contact the congressional intelligence committees in accordance with appropriate security practices. (iii) A member or employee of one of the congressional intelligence committees who receives a complaint or information under this subparagraph does so in that member or employee’s official capacity as a member or employee of such committee. (E) The Inspector General shall notify an employee who reports a complaint or information to the Inspector General under this paragraph of each action taken under this paragraph with respect to the complaint or information. Such notice shall be provided not later than 3 days after any such action is taken. (F) An action taken by the Director or the Inspector General under this paragraph shall not be subject to judicial review. (G)In this paragraph, the term “urgent concern” means any of the following: (i) A serious or flagrant problem, abuse, violation of law or Executive order, or deficiency relating to the funding, administration, or operation of an intelligence activity within the responsibility and authority of the Director of National Intelligence involving classified information, but does not include differences of opinions concerning public policy matters. (iii) An action, including a personnel action described in section 2302(a)(2)(A) of title 5, constituting reprisal or threat of reprisal prohibited under subsection (g)(3)(B) of this section in response to an employee’s reporting an urgent concern in accordance with this paragraph. (H) Nothing in this section shall be construed to limit the protections afforded to an employee under section 3517(d) of this title or section 8H of the Inspector General Act of 1978 (5 U.S.C. App.). (I) An individual who has submitted a complaint or information to the Inspector General under this section may notify any member of either of the congressional intelligence committees, or a staff member of either of such committees, of the fact that such individual has made a submission to the Inspector General, and of the date on which such submission was made. (6) In accordance with section 535 of title 28, the Inspector General shall expeditiously report to the Attorney General any information, allegation, or complaint received by the Inspector General relating to violations of Federal criminal law that involves [1] a program or operation of an element of the intelligence community, or in the relationships between the elements of the intelligence community, consistent with such guidelines as may be issued by the Attorney General pursuant to subsection (b)(2) of such section. A copy of each such report shall be furnished to the Director.

Good catch. I think I remember the pre-snap movements too. That's probably a consequence of going into year 3 of this defense with 10 starters from last year. Continuity allows that kind of thing to happen more frequently.
