UFL football for those undergoing withdrawal
warrior9 replied to simpleman's topic in The Stadium Wall
I remember watching him play at Virginia. Always liked his play. Getting Viriginia to 8 and 9 wins says something in and of itself. Wouldn't hate him for a camp arm. He is a similar "style" play to Josh. Big boy, rocket arm, and insane competitor. -
Wait. So do you want him or not? I mean, your original post reads kind of as if you do, but also that you don't? Now this post states you do? I'm now confused. And you don't bring people in that have consistent miscommunication with your QB after 4 years of playing with said QB

Got it. I had to re-read it. Oddly worded but I understand now.

70% of Josh Allen's career interceptions come from targeting Gabe Davis. We lost 2 games in his final year here because he ran wrong routes/ wasn't on the same page as Josh. Why exactly do you want him?

Is there an NFL team with a weaker WR group than the Bills?

I added to my quote while you quoted me. There will ALWAYS be people that say I told you so. Ok, let me ask you this: Who did you want us to bring in as WR and why? Speed? We just signed Palmer. Speed at the WR position won't help us much as we face sooo much zone. Do you genuinely think there is someone on the market right now that makes us a better offense? THE ONLY answer is Pickens right now. Do you want him? -

Uhhhh because we saw a decline in production on defense and an uptick in production on offense with a younger core? Do you not realize most of the guys we replaced on defense were in their 30's and tail end of their careers? Is this a legitimate thought you had that was "perfect?" We scored the most points in our franchise history and the first team to score 30 points in 8 straight games in a regular season.... MAYBE just MAYBE that's why they bank on improvement? Because they're younger and are actually improving? Did you see Cook and Shakirs numbers YOY and think "Hmmm, did they improve?" An actual legitimate thought you need to have that would be "perfect" is: "We have a team with an MVP QB who is the best in the world at his position and we just put up the most points in the regular season in the NFL. We upgraded at WR and have our whole OL back. Joe Brady will be in his second full year calling plays and the improvement we saw from his interim year to last year was absolutely impressive. Why am I questioning what's going on with our offense?" -
Cook benefitted from a fantastic o-line and some of Josh Allen's best football. Couple that with a new scheme, it went well for all running backs involved. Davis avg 3.9, Johnson avg 5.2, Cook 4.9. We have plenty of weapons outside of Cook, the only one that matters wears number 17. Want to pay Cook? Ok get ready to lose some linemen... guess who that affects?

In what way didn't he address it?

And that is 100% a possibility. If he wants to win, he'll change. He also literally JUST turned 24 man. Well, he's dead. Also, Pickens is 24 and has never played with a good QB and his coach never killed his attitude. It would be a gamble for sure but upside is WILD.

Mid-season. It makes a lot of sense. It was a desperation type move and you have to overpay there. If Steelers are desperate for draft picks and Tomlin is over him, then yeah 4th may do it. This guy has played with ZERO good QBs and has put up great numbers. I would take him in a heartbeat. I think our culture/Josh would mellow him out.

This would be the worst fail of any regime, ever. Trading into the first round to get Milroe is on the spot fireable. -
I am SO much more at ease now. Did you know he can stay put, trade down or trade up? It's a revolutionary thought.
