  1. Agree, its pretty much a 1 year rental for 9 million. Late 3rd day pick - maybe. Dont think Philly would cut him though. If I'm not mistaken he's on his 5th year 1st round option deal which is guaranteed. They won't save any $ by cutting him, just trading
  2. With the obvious need for an upgrade on the offensive line, I've seen a lot of threads pop up about certain players - draft or free agency. Or certain overall plans concerning draft or free agency. I figured it might be good to start a thread that condensed all ideas into improving the O.L. combining both the draft and free agency. I personally would like to see them go after at least 2 higher end free agents, for example Matt Paridis and Daryl Williams along with a mid tier guard. Even if it's expensive I think it's well worth the $. Also, would like to see at least a pick within the first 3 rounds. I think it's important to put a lot of rescources into the O.L. this off season, not only for Allen's development, but for the team as a whole. Anyway, what would you like to see be done? Any non-big name free agents or little known draft prospects that could help make a difference? Discuss as you will
  3. Don't see it, especially when d-line is supposedly the strongest part of the draft and could get someone on a rookie deal. Would much rather see them spend high $ on o-line
  4. Leighton was pick #19, so we would have had to trade up for him also.
  5. Thank you for all the replies, I appreciate the help. I'm going to look into all your suggestions. I am coming from the thruway and should be in the Buffalo area around 9-930 or so. Then figure I'll have to deal with some traffic. Is traffic pretty backed up around that time?
  6. Haven't been to a game in awhile and not from the area. I know Hammers lot is supposed to great, but fills up quick so I have a feeling I might miss that one before it's full. Anyway I'd like to skip the actually stadium lots that I have used in the past since they take forever to get out of. Do you guys have any good suggestions on private lots or yards? Only thing I could find online was the Yellow Brick Parking lot on Big Tree Rd - how is that getting in and out of? And side question, I know some people tailgating in the Wings Flight of Hope lot on California Rd. I looked it up on maps and there is a line of woods between that and the stadium. Anyone know if you can cut through those woods or do you have to walk all the way around on the road? Thanks for any help, appreciate it
  7. Why do you think he wouldn't be able to play RT?
  8. True, which should be their priority. However, without any decent options available at the moment at those positions, I wouldn't be mad if they made the move. Not sure what I'd give up though. Talented/athletic guy, but hasn't put it together yet. Def not a 1st or 2nd rounder. A mid round pick would be worth it IMO. Not sure if Cards would do that tho
  9. I didn't get a chance to see the last couple games. I've obviously heard/read how bad the o-line has looked. I know Teller has been playing with the 2's (which I understand he's not going against the opposing starters) But has anyone seen how he's been playing? Any chance he's been good enough to move up to the 1st team? I'm praying some decent lineman become available after teams cut down, but not holding my breath. Would be a pleasant surprise if he could step up
  10. I'm worried it's going to come back to haunt us. My biggest fear is Giants go QB at 2, Cleveland won't trade out at 4 and Denver goes QB at 5. The Jets getting a QB and not us would be miserable
  11. Ok thanks, that's what I thought. Was just wondering if they could make cuts/restructure after the draft if needed
  12. Do you have to account for the rookie pool into the salary cap now or just when they are signed after the draft?
  13. Sorry but too much $. I know what he's been to this team, but have to take the heart out of it. Should be paid half that
  14. Have to do both, without question. I'm all in on a trade up in the draft, but have to have a veteran in place, too. They have to have insurance in case they can't move up, but also if they can move up and he's not ready. The real question is how much are these bridge QB's going to cost? Will be interesting to see who gets what after Cousins
  15. So you want to save only 3 million and have 11 million of dead cap space? With all that dead $, he's better off on the team. End of discussion
  16. With all the constant draft and QB talk, I figure I'd start a thread about free agency (position players only - no QB's). It will be interesting on what they do, especially with it being Beane's first. I don't expect them to do any huge splashes, like 10 + million a year type players. But could definitely see some above average signings in the 6-9 million range. Then some mid tier guys in the 3-4 range. I personally prefer signings like that as they can be large contributors without eating up a ton of cap space. Would be nice to fill up some holes before going into the draft. So who do you guys like and what positions you hoping for?
  17. What's the salary cap implications? He just signed a 2 year extension this year. Will there be a dead cap like him being cut? Or would the Bills recoup all that $ since he is retiring? And not trying to be insensitive to him, he's a great guy and player. Just wondering since roughly $8 million a year is a big chunk for cap reasons
  18. What did you expect them to do during week 5 of the season? Free agents are picked over and probably aren't getting anything special in a trade either at this point. Yes I would like much better, but its not practical
  19. Worked great, thanks guys....now, lets get this Win!
  20. Thanks to the people with serious replies. I didn't think the old rabbit ear antennas would work on the newer tv's so that's why I wasn't sure. Will be heading to the store shortly
  21. Just closed on a house Friday and I do not have cable/internet set up there yet. I know you used to be able to get CBS, NBC and ABC for free, but pretty sure things changed when everything went digital. Anyone have any suggestions how to get the game on the TV? I'm assuming I'm screwed, but wasn't sure if there's anyway to just get the local CBS channel on some how. (And I know I could go to a bar or friends house, but the wife won't be having it with work needing to be done)
  22. Has anyone heard what Gerald Hodges contract is? Its still not added into Spotrac's Bills salary cap numbers. So we really don't know how much cap we even have
  23. Thanks guys. I've been to the Carrier Dome to watch Cuse' a bunch of times and have found some seating I've seemed to really like or really dislike for various random reasons. Some stadiums are a little different than each other so appreciate the input.
  24. My wife was pretty cool by letting me choose my own tickets to a game of my choice for a gift. I haven't been able to get up to a game in years so pretty excited, but also don't remember the stadium too well. Anyways, she doesn't like the higher up seats at any stadium so I'm probably looking for seats in the 1st or 2nd level. Any suggestions of good sections or areas would be appreciated. (I'm assuming the 40-50 yard line area would be best, but those are probably too expensive on the 2nd market I'd guess) Thanks for any feedback -Also I noticed 1st level seating in the end zone area prices are somewhat reasonable. Any good sections around either end zone or up to near like the 5 yard line?
  25. http://nfltraderumors.co/top-2017-nfl-free-agents-list/ Here's a larger list of remaining free agents. I'm assuming there might be a few surprise cuts now that the draft is over with. Think we could use some more help in LB and safety spots
