The fact that we are winning games against teams we should beat is a step forward for this organization. Anyone who has watched us play for the past 2 decades should know this. I don’t care that we ain’t blowing teams out, you learn more from those games then you do blowouts. Players learn more, coaches learn more, management learns more. We still went toe to toe with the best team in the league and if Allen had not got knocked out who knows how that game would of ended. We are almost half way into the season, we’re 5-2 and we let one game get away from us. This is an improvement, the strength of schedule does not matter. Over the years I seen plenty of teams have weak schedules get a lot of Ws and score a lot of points, then when the games toughen up late in the season they look lost. The way we are going atleast we know we have ***** to improve on, that way we may have it figured out for when the game really matters.

Do you guys just expect every player in this league to step in and look like a seasoned vet? Our offense is full of castoffs. A bunch a guys who came here to get more playing time then they could somewhere else. It’s better then last year but we are still not very talented.

I’m not a stats guy, so what’s the percentage of our scoring drives when Devin Singletary is the feature RB compared to Gore the feature RB. Just curious because when Devin is on the field it seems good ***** happens. Jets, Giants and Eagles game come to mind where our O looked better when he was on the field.
-
How many of these teams have 9 new starters in their offense? Just curious. Team moves the ball well at times and the shoots themselves in the foot on a constanr basis. McD said our O is in year one of its rebuild while our defense is in year 3. You gotta give it time. We’re winning games, that’s all that matters

Does he have sources on this because it just seems to be the most reasonable for each landing spot.... I could of came up with the exact same list

Gore just ain’t a threat. He’s a hard down hill runner but teams aren’t worried about him breaking through the line. If we pound him he’s still gonna have his carries for no gain that will back us up at some point. He had 3 carries for no gain in the first half yesterday on 7 carries. He’ll get lot of small yards but he’s not gonna get many big runs. He’s had close to 100 carries and has 3 carries over 20 yards, Singletary has 3 over 20 yards and he’s had about 1/5 the amount of carries.... So who is the bigger threat to an opposing defence? It seems as the game goes on and we need more plays they take Gore out anyway. If he’s not the guy you want on the field when when you need to score, he shouldn’t be the guy on the field to start the game... JMO

Glazer: Bills are still in market for a WR
BananaB replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If better WRs help improve Josh now wouldn’t it be better over the long haul? Wouldn’t it make ***** easier for him while he is learning how to play in this league? If he struggles making decisions over a full game wouldn’t having a legit #1 who was more consistent at getting separation and who was better at going up and getting contested balls in tight coverage be an asset to him while he tries to reach his full potential? Kid is what 17 or 18 games into his career, expecting him to be a finished product at this point is ridiculous. Finding ways to help him out to get there is not a bad idea. -
Sure that’s what everyone thought when they let MCCoy go and said Singletary could handle his load.
-
He had 4 catches for 30 yards and the TD play was 28.... They were getting to him quick in the flats, Allen May have seen something different then you.
-
And Gore carried the ball 9 times to Devins 3.... So basically when Gore is on the field we are running up the middle
-
Singletary hasn’t been giving much of a chance to get the dirty yards. 3 carries yesterday. To top it off everybody and their dog knows Gore is only running straight forward.
-
Seems almost every week we start with Gore and then come out in the second half featuring anther RB. Mostly Singletary but when he was out it was Yeldon. If these guys give us the best chance to win as the game is closing, don’t they give us the best chance to win from the start. Gore is running hard but nobody is game planning for him.

We're turning Allen into Tyrod

I was thinking the same thing on that play. I’m not sure why he was active over McKenzie today, seems to me with the weather McKenzies skill set would of been more helpful. -

20 carries on the season and 172 yards. His 3 runs of 20+ is the same amount Gore has in over 90 carries..... We need this kid more involved in our offense. -

He had 3 runs today for 20 yards and had a 10+ yarder called back because of a hold. Seems to me we gotta feed him more. -
OJ Howard is apparently available

They struggle to catch the ball also. -
Seems they give up on Gore at the start of the second half almost every game.

A Message of Calm from a Josh Allen Skeptic...
BananaB replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We’ve seen very little of Singletary but most of it’s been good, not sure why they refuse to give him the ball early..... What’s weird is, in most games this season we open up with Gore and then in the second half it seems we move onto feature a different RB. Kind of ***** up. If those guys give us the best chance to win later in the game, they give us the best chance early in my opinion. -

With what we got on offense I think it’s best to keep going the path they are on. We are winning games, yeah a lot of it is on the shoulders of our D but a W is a W. Today’s game got away from us, it’s the first one all season that has..... If a few more do over the next couple weeks you start asking Josh to do more. Right now though, it’s about eliminating mistakes (like today’s fumble) and grinding out wins. I do think this team needs to add a legit weapon at WR. John Brown is solid but he’s not a number #1 WR, Beasley was suppose to be a safety net but is basically our #2. -
Kenyan drake trade to AZ reported (edited title)
BananaB replied to 0017's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Running game doesn’t work because every time Gore strolls onto the field there is a 90% chance we are gonna run the ball up the middle. -
Yes....We need a legit #1 WR and we need to fix the hole in the middle of our defensive line. What’s more important at this time is the question?

Defense needs to get some turnovers

I forgot we even had Jerry Hughes until you guys mentioned him. He’s been a ghost this year -
Defense needs to get some turnovers

I’m more worried about the defense stopping the run up the middle at this point. Teams are gonna catch on and game plan for that. Long drives wear them down, and you can’t blame the O for that. Our O is in the building process so sitting on the bench doesn’t help them out -
Agreed. It’s been the same most of the season. I think Gore had 4 of those carries on the first two drives. Lol
