  1. I think, in general, most people have sold our defense down the river wayyyy too quickly. Anytime the defense has been brought up in the media over the last month it’s been as our Achilles heal. How quickly people forget how solid our defense was in 18 and 19. And honestly it was a top ten unit after the bye week last year. By seasons end the d had crept very close to the brink of being top ten in multiple categories. … to watch people talk about our D, you’d think it has been a perennial bottom dweller.
  2. I wager there won’t be nearly as many as usual. Here in NW PA almost all the “Stiller” fans that I know who usually frequent the game, because it’s such a fun local rivalry, will not be going based on the not wanting to pay such an elevated price for an away game.
  3. Met plenty of those until it actually comes to talking about their actual team. Then they go off reservation... you found a unicorn.
  4. Been saying this all summer. Complete denial over what they're facing for the foreseeable future. Tuitt is extremely underrated. He's not expected to play week 1? thats news to me i guess. I'm confused as to why this isnt brought up more when people talk about their defense. Hilton had an argument for best nickel guy in the NFL and Nelson was a rock solid #2 corner. Beasley and sanders should EAT week 1 in the slot.
  5. agree. they have 8 new starters coming in on a team that finished 1-4 down the stretch.... i dont understand what anyone is seeing that says they are gonna beat the Bills. its 2 teams that are CLEARLY headed in opposite directions.
  6. Obviously every year is different. But i dont expect their OL to be any better than last year, we're getting a piece of our run d back(Star), and we had no issues with their run game last year. Again, until anyone actually sees them able to run the ball should we be afraid of them running all over us? Nah.
  7. i expect him to get hit at the LOS like their runners did last year and essentially fall forward for 2 or 3 instead of no gain.... that team lost arguably its best 3 players off a line that was the worst running unit in the NFL. They arent miraculously gonna start running all over everyone because they drafted a runner early. its crazy right? my best friend since 1st grade is one of the most level headed and knowledgeable guys i've ever talked football with. He's making bets with me about them beating us week 1 and how we wont be able to handle their "weapons" and new RB. They didnt have a single 1000 yd "weapon" last year. I'm convinced its just 100% willed denial and ignorance.....Him and i were 19 yrs old the last time they didnt have a HOF qb. He and the rest of the fan base are in for a rude awakening and they want no part of accepting it.... .... i'm sure your brother has told you how amazing haskins has looked too, right? 3 years ago it was that they STOLE rudolph and that they wouldnt skip a beat when ben retired.
  8. It’s not just their reporters. The WHOLE fan base is in complete denial. They aren’t handling the inevitable decline with grace. They’ve all talked themselves into Haskins being the natural predecessor of Big Ben and it will be quite the seamless transition. Living on the outskirts of their territory in Erie, PA, I’ve had numerous fans explain to me their weapons were “loaded”. I just laugh and say uh ya you have a bunch of #2 and #3 wr’s. That’s loaded I guess???? Bring up their division and it’s just “the browns have sucked for 20 years” on repeat. It’s a group that just can’t/refuses to wrap their heads around where their division is going. a fan base that’s been overly spoiled for nearly 2 decades now and will not let themselves believe it’s gonna end. Pure denial and delusion. It’s Mark Madden. Those are the only takes he puts out. He’s an imbecile
  9. He got voted top 10 player in the entire NFL. Sorry, I just see nothing here to get worked up about. For the love of god can we please stop being so sensitive as Bills fans. It’s embarrassing
  10. I’d be echoing the same sentiment about preseason for numerous other positions but I personally believe OL and DL can be evaluated pretty good in the preseason. A lot of times it’s a one on one with the guy across from you and Rousseau has beaten more than one starter opposite him this year. I don’t think it being preseason diminishes it all that much if at all.
  11. Odds, historical ones, are exactly what I’m banking on. And they state it’s a real slim chance that a team wins a conference 3 times in a row. And the media is being lazy. Hands down. The whole narrative is “how could anyone ever topple the chiefs?”. The ball washing people are doing for that team is pathetic. It’s the NFL people. Why does it seem like none of them have been covering it for more than the last 2 years of chiefs Super Bowls. Chiefs are a great team…. But I’ll take historical evidence and the fact that watching the league my whole life has given me a common sense perspective on crowning a team for a 3rd year in a row.
  12. There has been 2 teams in the super bowl era(55 years) to make 3 straight Super Bowls. I get that your a chiefs fan, but the whole default response of “the chiefs are obviously gonna win the AFC” throughout the fans and especially the media this year is just lazy and goes against massive amounts of historical data. I’ll take the field in the AFC…. And the bills are the cream of that crop. Otherwise not a whole lot to debate here.
  13. Ya. You should probably go ahead and move on from that. Playoffs in 3 outta the last 4 years and now a bonafide star at qb. the bills are a good team, man. Not sure what else you need to see… … imma be having fun enjoying the ride. Hop on when it’s almost too late if you like.
  14. a team that buckled down the stretch last year and is now has 8 new starters is gonna win that division? i'd bet the farm that doesnt happen. in fact i'd be way more surprised with them winning the division than i would be with them missing the playoffs all together. his points are lame. come on man. the bills just went 13-3 and are returning the whole squad with what looks to be upgrades to a new at pass rush..... its OKAY to be confident in this team.
  15. They didn’t have Dupree and bush when we played them. They still don’t have Dupree. They got Bush back and lost 2 good starting db’s. Their nickel they lost, hilton, was a top 3 guy in the league at that slot. It’s a loss for sure. Looks about like a draw to me. ….. also word out of camp is their new pickup Schoebert has taking over play call duties from bush. That knee may not be where it needs to be and it wouldn’t surprise me if he’a on a slight snap count to start the season. Lol. Heaven forbid fans are confident in a team that just went 13-3 and has a qb that just finished 2nd in the MVP voting.
  16. Everybody likes to talk about their d. What nobody is talking about is they lost a top 3 nickel CB in Hilton and their solid #2 corner in Nelson. Sanders and Beasley should EAT in the slot.
  17. Last I checked it was tied with Niners -7 vs bears as the biggest spread of opening week. Pittsburgh has 8 new starters on a squad that finished on an absolute implosion after an early year joke of a schedule.
  18. Any given Sunday and all that jazz. But i personally see 2 teams headed in opposite directions. I expect to win by 2 scores due to the trajectory of this squad and just the general atmosphere of the first opening day in 2 years. …. I too live in “stillers” country and this one is huge just for general quality of life going forward. Lol.
  19. Quick scroll woulda shown this was already a thread. And the one I made had a lot more quality info and context while not coming off nearly as sensitive and whiny. It’s like you purposely left out the rest of the article just to play the “we get no respect” card. Bills fans are gonna rapidly become the most annoying fan base in the NFL if they don’t stop looking for ways to feel slighted.
  20. Pretty cool article by ESPN where they got their writers together and voted on rankings for multiple categories. Allen got 2nd in arm strength and was listed as "biggest surprise" because Kimes thought he got snubbed there. 9th in accuracy and again listed as biggest surprise due to a writer thinking he got snubbed in that ranking. He wasnt ranked in "touch" but Hasselbeck stated he was the "riser to watch" there. Thats really just the start of it. He's ranked top 5 in multiple categories and was crowned the "toughest" QB..... Anyways, I thought it was kind of a cool little read. And plenty of talk about our guy. I'll try and paste some of what they're saying on him. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32050570/nfl-quarterback-council-2021-ranking-top-10-qbs-arm-strength-accuracy-decision-making-rushing-ability-more Biggest surprise: I'm surprised that Allen didn't end up No. 1 here. Sure, Mahomes throws the prettier deep ball, but if we're just assessing arm strength, Allen's cannon is indisputable. -- Kimes (On allens arm strength ranking) Biggest surprise: Allen has to be higher on the list given his noticeable development as a pocket thrower. In 2019, Allen completed just 58.8% of his passes, but that number jumped to 69.2% this past season, which was good for fourth in the NFL. Paired with his rare physical traits at the position, Allen can throw with both accuracy and location, putting him in the upper tier of the NFL's quarterbacks. -- Bowen (on Allens 9th ranking in accuracy) Riser to watch: Coming out of Wyoming, Josh Allen had a habit of just trying to throw the ball hard. If he was unsure or late, he would just step on the gas with his passes. But as his pre-snap command at the line of scrimmage has grown, his tendency to play with more anticipation has grown with it. -- Hasselbeck (Allen was unranked in touch) Best of the best: Every QB on this list is worthy of being at the top of this category, as they will all stand in the pocket and keep firing in the face of pressure, big hits or sacks. Allen, with his physical size, strength and ability as both a runner and thrower, separates himself slightly from the group for me as the one guy who would scare me the most if I had to line up and defend him for a full 60 minutes. -- Riddick (Allen ranked #1 in toughness)
  21. THIS is a much bigger gripe than diggs being a couple of spots too low.... if i'm not mistaken there were 8 corners above white. We can all agree thats just downright silly. Watt is just absurdly good. I would think it could be argued he's a better overall play than garrett. Not to mention his sack totals over the last 3 years are 13, 14.5, and 15.
  22. There’s plenty of times bills players have been slighted. This really ain’t one of them. If it is, it’s small enough to barely notice. Comes off sorta sensitive. Sorry. You can disagree with the ranking but it’s the sensitive “once again the bills get slighted” thing. The dude just got ranked 11th out of 1700 players. Come on. got screwed? Good lord dude he was 1 slot out of the top ten. Get a grip
  23. Danngggg. I really wanted both to get a longer top 10 segment.
