  1. i've been wanting to see foster opposite brown. it may have been done but maybe it's foster not getting many targets and/or josh not going to him or being inaccurate. i hope all that changes. they can go deep on the titans and i hope they do.
  2. Kroft ain't coming back. Hes' been a waste of a roster spot and as soon as he hits the practice field, he'll get hurt again. We can't even trade him. Do the injury settlement and get it over with. No he can't be poached and he can't be signed to the 53. He is p.s. only this season. They had to make that decision at the final cut.
  3. .....or maybe Bates is much better and can play all 5 spots. In fact, I'd rather see him at RT than Ford. I sure hope Nseke plays.
  4. i agree. i think allen should sit and then have the bye week. even tho it's his 1st concuss, getting another in a week will put him out for at least 3 weeks and it will more than likely make them easier to get in the future. ok i spoke too soon. that being said, i'm very nervous. the titans dline gets sacks. they get hits. it very well may be week 3/part two. the colts beat these guys. they out rushed them, but the colts oline is better than ours. i guess this game will tell us a lot about allen. i hope he gets through it and gets a win.
  5. i don't think their 2ndary matches up that well. i vote for trying to get good yardage with different run schemes on 1st down and then torching them on 2nd and short, if we can get into 2nd and short....even 3rd and short, the playbook opens up. usually i'm against the predictable run on 1st down thing, but we need to not get cutesy and end up with 3 and outs and gas our defense. long, clock ticking drives....then toss it up for duke in the corner.?
  6. i worry about them throwing josh back in without a full week of prep only for vrabel to throw round 2 of what he saw last week at him. i think he would benefit more from watching a cool, collected and hopefully, successful barkley methodically run the offense.
  7. they probably are holding out on webb to keep the titans guessing which qb is gonna play. my hope is that...oh wait, it's saturday morning so the injury report must be out. anyway i would sit josh this week because we have the bye. let him come back against wash.? @home. if he gets dinged again right away, he'll be out at least a few weeks.
  8. omg, if he don't post up someone, we're screwed. i hope barkley starts and josh gets the bye week. fwiw. put dimarco on the right side of josh. i don't think wake is gonna play but it doesn't matter, ford sucks at rt....at least so far..
  9. i would have probably too, but my connection moved....gotta change my name to billsredneck1 jones....uggh
  10. i'd rather listen to murph and eric wood. just wish i could sync it with the telly.
  11. holding calls are hard to judge when josh bolts whether the pressure is there or not. i guess sometimes it's either hold or let your qb get creamed. i agree. i heard they called up nick easley. i think with all the contracts coming up, we should build through the draft. next year we can go oline and dline high.
  12. d. johnson will surprise...i believe.
  13. i don't know why they insisted on starting him at tackle. dunlop ate his lunch last week until nseke came in and he had trouble there prior to that. every one on the planet knew the pats were gonna attack that side and it will continue as long as he's out there. i believe he should be the swing tackle. if long is out and feliciano gets hurt, we have no guard if ford gets dinged at rt.
  14. i've never used the ignore button before but i may have to figure that out. i don't believe i ever mentioned jauron in relation to the offense. i believe i was making a point about conservative d calls. btw find some one else to p!$$ off....carry on.
  15. what's not sinking in is...not taking a sack in fg range. that's flat out inexcusable.
  16. so to recap so far this season starting with yesterday......allen was in the grasp going down and instead of wrapping up low, it's a head hit, no big deal to bb...or the league. ab quits the raiders and already has a deal in place with bb...no big deal. patrick chung ...didn't he get busted with coke? plays on sunday no big deal. when is someone /some team gonna get revenge? maybe i'm hoping greggo does it. i'm sick of kraft. bellyache and marsha. who will be the first team to kick their arses? of course that would have been my mo if i were frazier yesterday, but .....same ole same ole. hopefully some other dc steps up and says enough is enough...but who and when? you'd think after all the screwing and dirty hits the pats have given us, we'd have some more attack like testicles.
  17. the big thing about protection is when our qb runs backwards (tyrod did it too) and the line is forced to protect longer, pressure is gonna get home...not to mention the increase in holding calls. those sacks allen took yesterday were maddening , especially taking us out of field goal range. i don't see how a player can progress through the mandatory stages of protocol in one week. i'd bet money he's out til after the bye.
  18. i don't believe the staff was ready for this game right from the start. the average fan has seen, and could predict that starting ford at tackle would be inviting disaster for allen on that right side. it's just common sense to see that any team and especially the pats were going to try to exploit that. another thing is not starting out with rpo mixed with the run.(like opening drive of 3rd qtr.) another brain dead thing was dimarco and gore lined up wide with lee smith on the field and an empty set. where are you going with that. if they were gonna go with an empty backfield why not 5 wide....and not the above players. even eric wood called it. run the rpo and mix in the run. then sprinkle in 4 wide and leave gore to pick up a blitzer. every fan on earth knew what belichek was going to do on defense. he made rivers look like peterman last year in the playoffs. if not for the talent and effort from our star defenders, frazier's defensive approach would have allowed brady to hang 30 on us. every game so far this year we have given the opposing qb no pressure on critical 3rd downs and they have made hay on those plays.
  19. but...we knew what belichek was gonna throw at him like he did all game long and did nothing to counter attack that...let alone allen's bone headed throws. i don't know if there was gonna be some automatic game saving switch that was gonna suddenly come on
  20. yes they were due to individual talent and effort, but rushing 3 and 4 on critical passing plays is asinine. the pats brought it on every play from every direction and until we have a dc that's willing to do that, the result will always be the same. they do it to us every single time. they made rivers look like nathan in the playoffs. when will we ever wake up and do the same to them?
  21. i figured someone would come up with a lame take and use that word. you're no. 1 congrats...we'll maybe you're no.2..
  22. we got outcoached. we should have seen / known what they were gonna do defensively because the entire world knew what belichek was gonna do. it's only been going on for 20 yrs. i'm not gonna make excuse for josh either. he looked like e.j manual today. that's coaching...kinda like rushing 4 on 3rd down. who cares if brady completes a 5 yd pass as long as you lay the wood to him!. it just seems that nothing ever changes when we play these guys and so far we've played down to the level of our opponents and have been lucky to get a few wins. well that's gonna stop if this staff doesn't get their heads out of their a$$e$.
  23. i'm still butt hurt so i'll keep it short. defensively, the pats did exactly what i/everbody else, knew they were gonna do and we were too stupid to do it to them. we needed to play the defense against them that they played against us for the f...ing umpteenth time in a row. josh allen is making fitz look like a hall of famer. what the hell is between his ears? especially on 3rd down and in fg range? i for one will be relieved to see barkley for a game or two before we end up at 500 in the next couple of weeks. there's just no excuse for the sacks. however, they were doing to us what frazier can't seem to comprehend that , that's what we should have been doing against them. if it weren't for individual talent and effort on our defense, a fire frazier bill board should be up on the 90. mcd and his time outs/ challenges.....don't get me started. lee smith on the field as much as he was.(self explanatory)... pathetic. we're having smith in the passing game and not going 4/5 wide? bring back chan. the offensive lineup was conservatively stupid and starting ford at rt must have been ralph from above wanting to see a high pick start. my God do these guys not have film from previous weeks? we got out coached and gave a game away that we should have been able to win. this was a jauronesque coaching effort with a team that could have/ should have won this game. mcd= f dabol= f frazier= doesn't even rate if this crap keeps up we're on our way to 6-10 and if mcd can't teach his goomba leslie how to bring it...like 20th century style , then they can both go. ok, i vented i'm out.
