  1. agree with this. i did not have the time to read all of the pages so i'm sorry if i'm repeating any points already made. i'm also one of those that think whaley should have gone with rex. if not for marrone, orton wouldn't have been here and ej would have started that entire year. if not for rex, tyrod wouldn't have been brought here nor any other threat to ej either. he does not deserve on ounce of credit for taylor. if not for mc dermott, no way does whaley bring tyrod back. he more than likely would have been hard headed and egotistical enough to put c.j. out there and keep e.j. as a backup. he ignored the qb postion since the day HE drafted e.j. i'm not even gonna mention the sammy deal. if he is in sole charge of this draft, he will take watson and probably be bone headed enough to trade up for him. then we will have 3 qbs with the same exact skill set and the same weaknesses....and none of which are franchise changing material. i hope he does not have that power anymore.
  2. i think it would absolutely suck if the bills let him go. for one ,just the fact that you're letting him go to the pats is bad enough. 2. for those who argue it would be paying him too much then bb must be an idiot. 3. like someone else pointed out the one hammy away from needing mg's services (without a drop off in production). 4. why wouldn't the fo at least be thinking about shady's age and possibly actually getting something for him next offseason? mg could move to no.1 and we could draft another fairly high. i just think it's stupid to not bring him back. it sends the wrong message to the players as far as cohesiveness and the team's commitment to winning. it sends a message to free agents as to just how they will get treated here and lastly sends a message to the fans that this fo cannot manage keeping the strengths of this team while fixing the weaknesses. we would have been a helluva lot better off in the passing game had we kept hogan and we got absolutely zero for him.
  3. lol! and congrats ....you were post #730....on page 37
  4. this whole argument of trading up is stupid. we can't trade up. teams like cleveland have way more to offer and can move up to whatever spot they want...we cannot. it's pretty simple...he's there at 10 or he's not. if so,great....if not trade down and work it hard. it's a win/win for us either way it goes imo.
  5. it would absolutely suck to lose td mike! there goes 30-40% of our ground game and no rookie is gonna make that up. why do the bills always have to lose a limb on the strongest part of the body? i don't get it. sign him now. do not waste a pick on a rb....like we have enough picks to screw around.
  6. i predict he gets drafted in the 4th. if we stay at 10 and pick whoever, i think the best course of action would be to trade down in the 2nd. pick up a 4th and a 7th. assuming we go defense at 10, that late second should still get us wr zay jones who i think would be a perfect compliment to sammy. he can play inside or out helping to nullify the absence of robert woods but can still take the top off outside, not to mention being paired with his receivers coach. i would spend that 4th on kelly and then package a 5th and 7th to move back into the 4th for bpa.
  7. what is the problem? man i hope we get him back!
  8. qb no.1 evaluation over everything else...td to int. ratio. qbs who are in the 90/10% seem to always succeed vs. 60/40% thats why i'd rather go trubisky 30-6 my ratios above are a general but it's the idea and the number one indicator to me. a qb who throws over 15 picks in a season in college is probably gonna be a pick machine in the pros///jmo
  9. never heard that but way cool. i like bill burr better.
  10. i really hope he's there at 10 and we take him. we can trade down in the 2nd and pick up a 4th and maybe a 7th. we should...due to the talent this year be able to get quality at each pick. this is the perfect opportunity to get our qb and give him time to learn. i don't think cleveland will take him no.1 i don't think the jets will take a qb. they could take o.j. howard and do themselves a world of value there. if they do think qb, i would think they'd believe watson would benefit them more right away. i don't think the bears will take a qb with glennon when they need defensive help. i guess the bottom line is....if trubisky's gone we can trade back and gain picks. gain a lot of talent and put chad kelly on the pup for a year. if we gain a lot of talent and depth this year, we can afford to move up for a qb next year. it's all good. we will see what happens. all i hope for is that whaley's not calling the shots at qb.
  11. i can't wait! i just think the bills will have a coach who may have more of a say in the draft than in the past. so far i'm happy with all the things they have been doing and i have not been a big whaley fan. so far though, i'm pretty impressed, and to me it appears that they have been/are setting themselves up for all possible scenarios. i think that somehow this will be the best draft this team has had in quite some time. at least, i'm not expecting any boneheaded trade up moves and i think they will maximize their picks. this is definitely the year to do it.
  12. i still don't believe he will go undrafted and i think if the bills wait, hell be gone. i believe he will mature ,heal and be a helluva qb in this league and i hope it's in buffalo. the only qb i think could be drafted before 10 is watson by the jets. however, i think the jets take oj howard and look to 2018 for their qb. i would take trubisky at 10...trade down a few spots in the second and pick up a 4th. take zay jones in the second and kelly with the 4th. i would put c.j. on the p.s. and kelly pup. let him heal, mature and compete next year. barring a playoff run tyrod goes in a trade next year. i'll get flamed for sure but i don't care. it's the most important position in sports and it's about time the bills started paying attention to it. that being said, i hope whaley's not making the decisions when it comes to qb. for all those people who would say i'm nuts, let me ask this...we spent a 4th on c.j. and in comparison talent wise, chad kelly couldn't be any worse of a selection at the same exact spot?
  13. i think it's a good signing. however, i really don't think this changes the teams approach concerning qbs in the draft. i think that given all the players the bills have brought in that they are setting themselves up for all possible scenarios. i don't think this would mean that they wouldn't take trubisky at 10. i actually think we will see 4qbs on the roster this summer. i believe they are looking ahead at probably trading tyrod next year..barring a playoff run. we could see tyrod...tj...cj and chad kelly this summer and i'd be stoked about that. low man to the practice squad. it will be an added bonus if kelly goes undrafted.
  14. i thought he showed some cahones(sp?) in that playoff game against baltimore and was impressed with him at the end of that season. i thought kubiak was a douchebag and threw him under the bus.
  15. i'm thinking with all the additions they have been making at other positions, maybe they are setting themselves up for the possible scenario of trubisky there at 10. if the jets go qb, i bet it's watson. i suppose obd could be filling other positions now so they can take a receiver at 10 and /or be faced with trubisky being there and not having good enough offers. maybe they are setting themselves up to be able to live with either choice.
  16. has everyone forgotten the rt? ...or oline overall?...or as it relates to the draft? in one of my draft fantasies, i'd like to see a trade down twice. once to cleveland for their 4th...and whatever else we might be able to get and then... to washington who badly needs a new receiving core and has picks....for a 3rd and a 4th? we get the richie incognito of rts with garrett bolles. big nasty day one starter. i would even hope to think about maybe one of the top 3 centers with one of the extra picks. it doesn't matter who we bring in or draft at all the other positions. we are an injury or two away from suck up front....or we can have the foundation of a great line for some time to come. don't forget the oline dougie!
  17. i agree...i'd rather trade down and bring in zay jones to be right along with his coach.
  18. i like it! hope he does well. first thing that popped into my mind was bryce paup......i know some of youz will have to look that up
  19. if we end up with a mid tier rookie draft pick this year....and i'm hoping it's chad kelly, why not bring in nassib for a visit? chase daniel will find a more lucrative deal elsewhere. nassib was behind ely all this time and in limited playing time was what?...9-12 128 and a td? cheap too
  20. i know when i started this thread my mind was swimming with juicy trade scenarios, but the more i think about it, if he's there at 10.... this draft is deep so.... do i pass on a guy that looks like franchise material and watch him go be a stud somewhere else? i'm coming more to think of taking him. so that leaves me 5 picks in which i could take... 2. zay jones 3.bpa corner/safety....but i really like that dl from vandy 5.chad kelly 5,marcus maye fs 6.bpa i know the argument about 4 qbs, but quite frankly c.j. is still p.s. material or trade material. if trubisky and or kelly look like a one-two punch after next year, i'm sure we can get something reasonable for tyrod. i'd rather take him figuring we can still get quality players with the remaining picks vs. extra picks that will sit on the bench. however. i don't think kelly will last that long so that would be a gamble...i can't wait til the draft! i suppose i'll be ok either way they go.
  21. https://youtu.be/rsWY6BOIO9I?t=68 i don't know if this will work or not, but thought it was funny. i'm not good at posting links. might have to rewind it.
  22. ha..i stated this in my thread " if trubisky is there at 10" and i'm willing to bet that the browns and the bills deal. i hope we fleece them but that 1st pick in the 4th will most definitely be part of the deal and if it were up to me, that would be the perfect spot to nab chad kelly.....without feeling stupid but not losing him to another team at the same time. if we do end up with no.33 , trading out of that position could net us a couple extra picks as well. i'm hoping we trade down twice in the 1st.
