    I flew in them as a Crew chief in the late 80's , early 90's when the had the General Electric TF-39 engines. They eventually transitioned to General Electric CF6-80C2-L1F (F-138). The TF-39 had a nicer more distinctive "Whine or howl". I sure miss Fred.

    Actually no. Niagara Falls reserve base Flys only the C-130 cargo aircraft. I didn't see the tail number but it's either a Dover or Westover AFB aircraft. It may have refueled at Niagara though. FYI, I'm a former C-5 Crew Chief
