Matt Milano had surgery for "significant bicep injury", out indefinitely
SCBills replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Im not necessarily doing that. Im more speaking in the macro sense that what’s happened to this defense injury-wise lately is bizarre and we can’t just act like it’s all freak accidents. -

But you can expect undersized players to have more injuries .. you can expect older players to have more injuries / take longer to come back from injury. This is now the third big money guy on defense in the past 3 years to effectively miss two seasons. -

What even is he at that point though? Just put him out there after almost two years missed? Whos to say we don’t trade for someone or Dorian Williams grows into the role ala Bernard. I wasn’t expecting a ton from him, but my goodness it’s so frustrating to constantly have big money tied up for guys on defense who aren’t on the field. This stuff doesn’t happen to the Chiefs at this level and is a huge reason for their constant success. It’s also becoming an issue worth asking about to our FO. Is it our training.. the type of guys we draft/invest in… it can’t just be constant bad luck. -

If the Bills went into this year planning on Milano being a huge component of the Defense, they’re idiots, tbh. Undersized LB coming off a major injury at 30 years old. From a purely football standpoint, this was a very likely issue to pop up with him at any point this season .. even if he returned to prior form, which wasn’t a given either. -

Just feels like Tre White again. A fan favorite, elite when healthy, robbed by injury. Have to think it will likely end the same way as well. Hopefully he can come back for a late season return, but I think the plan this year, and future years, turns to Dorian Williams / maybe Baylon Spector.. even though he has injury issues himself. -
Man.. this just feels like the Tre White situation. At some point you’ve just got to move on. Hopefully Dorian Williams has figured out how to not get smoked by every play fake.

The idea that will help Americans is also the one no one can run on because it doesn’t promise us anything .. less spending. We get what we deserve.

Nobody supporting “price controls” on food & grocery has any clue the small margins grocery stores operate on Literally insane policy
-
What is your point here? This proposal is literally price controls, a socialist response to rising costs, that has failed everywhere it’s been tried. And not just failed, but had dramatic & awful effects on the places where it’s been tried.
-
She finally released a policy that isn’t Trumps and it’s f***ing price controls.

This is a very fair point

Last half of the season, our WR’s were objectively bad (outside Shakir) Diggs was getting clamped on the regular and Davis runs 3 routes of which maybe he gets open and catches it but probably not. Sherfield gave us nothing. Im not saying we have a top tier WR room, but can they be a version of what Green Bay has? Sure. What we can’t have is no running game and Cook with MVS hands. Because I do think Brady’s offense will feature a lot of easy button throws to guys like Cook.

Not sure why all the hand wringing.. the Bills 1-4 are set. And as a group, it could very well be better 1-4 than last year. Clearly they’re not in love with any of the other guys, plus injuries = bottom of the roster churn.

Bills @ Steelers - Preseason Game 2 - Sat 8/17 7PM
SCBills replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fwiw, Bass gets off easy with this fanbase for missing that KC game tying FG, given we all just assumed KC would get the ball and let Butker win it as the clock hits zero anyway. If our playoff defense wasn’t a perpetual dumpster fire, the calls to cut him would be much, much louder. -
I’m willing to concede Harris is leading nationally and has the momentum, but polls coming out showing she’s favored on the economy, leading in NC and down 2 in Florida… just, no. It’s getting a bit ridiculous now.

I posted this tweet in exactly one thread. The one you quoted like an angry child.

2024 Election Polls - President - Senate - House
SCBills replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The polls clearly indicate Kamala momentum, but some of the cross tabs are curious to say the least. Also, fwiw, Republicans have been stacking new voter registrations in PA over Dems by the tens of thousands for months now.. -
Things are looking bleak..

Welp.. Lines have been drawn.

Predict what positional groups are better/worse in 2024?
SCBills replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is why I don't understand anyone that doesn't want MVS on this team. I don't care if he has hands issues.. we don't have his skillset currently and need someone to go out there and periodically run those clear out routes that once in a while Allen throws to. -
Bears @ Bills - Preseason Game 1 - SAT 08/10 - 1 PM
SCBills replied to DaBillsFanSince1973's topic in The Stadium Wall
This should be way more of a point made than it has been. I wasn't exactly thrilled with our 1st/2nd team guys, but they looked meh in a meh first preseason game. No biggie. Where we got absolutely demolished was with the Bears players that are fighting for roster spots/practice squad vs our guys doing the same... and those guys for the Bears all had a game under their belt already. -

People who are worried about WR.. Is it anything on tape from last year or just the loss of Diggs - in terms of what Diggs had been for us? The last half of the season, Diggs wasn't getting open and didn't seem like his heart was in it at all. Davis is what he is, and that's not a reliable target in the flow of the Offense. The one guy who emerged was Shakir.. and we'll have to see if that continues, but with the addition of Samuel & expected jump for Kincaid, he's not exactly in the Gabe Davis WR2 situation we found ourselves hoping for after the KC 4 TD game.
