How about the rookie class so far.. Due to injury and lack of opportunity, not sure what we have in Keon or Bishop yet, but hard not to get excited about the roster building potential of guys like Carter, Davis, Solomon, Van Pran Granger, Harty, Grable, Andreeson and Gore.

Good: -Rousseau & Oliver -Andreeson -Defense as whole played well -Hardy -OL, 1st & 2nd looked solid -RB’s, all looked good Bad: -Trubisky -WR Evaluation due to QB play

Much better game. OL held their own, and the second unit dominated in the run game. Rousseau and Oliver were unblockable. Hate that our QBing has been so poor that we can’t get an idea of what Keon Coleman can/cannot be.

This is the way this year. Defense reliant on a lot of what-ifs.. mainly what-if Rousseau can stay healthy and make the jump and what-if Von can be 80% of pre-injury Von. Those two going our way drastically change the outlook of the defense. On offense, it’s going to be a run game and TE duo helping unlock the WR’s outside Shakir and Samuel.

Not exaggerating when I say he looked like Matt Milano out there. Obviously… it’s preseason, but he’s either actually good or caught a heater.

Ok.. and that’s a fair take to have. Overall concern. I’d disagree to your extent of concern, but I get where you’re coming from. I was more taken back as to why you’re unloading in this thread when the defense looked good, our top O weapons aren’t really playing and our backup QB is a disaster.

What separation are we really expecting from Coleman and Hollins though? I agree, not ideal.. but we knew who they are.

With Mitch starting, probably. Chiefs, Bengals and Ravens likely have more high end offensive talent to help a backup than we do. Not sure why this game has made you become so adamant about this posting this though.. Just seems Iike repressed anger over the roster that you’re letting out at a random time. The OL has been fine and we’ve barely played our top 4 receiving options in Kincaid, Knox, Shakir and Samuel.

I mean.. yea, but what’s triggering this comment? Defense looked incredible and OL was fine. What else are we evaluating with Trubisky out there? No Samuel, barely any Shakir, no Kincaid, barely any Knox.

Harty was a slot corner at Penn State and has good tape, just undersized. Bills have been playing him outside a good bit and he’s held his own.

If I never knew Milano went down, and I saw a white dude balling like this at LB… I’m just sayin… Not sure how’s he’s looked in pass coverage, but he’s jumping off the screen.

No idea if this translates or what the staff takes from it, but he’s everywhere.

This guy cannot be our backup To those who say it doesn’t matter .. Allen should’ve missed time in recent years. Hes played through it because he’s a monster. This guy is incapable of winning us a game or two if Allen misses limited time.

I just want to see Trubisky prove he can throw a ball down the field. Hes so friggin boring out there.
