Jeffrey Simmons extended with Titans - 4 years, $94 Million
SCBills replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
If we had Jeffrey Simmons, you find a way. KC broke the mold by trading away an elite WR in his prime, but they also have Kelce. Who knows how things play out if Ed lived up to the hype… Do we spend so much draft capital at EDGE? Do we sign Von? -

So help me if Ed Oliver references this in a tweet… -
DeSantis For President in 2024?

It’s also interesting to see which states are being affected, politically, by these migration patterns. Georgia, Arizona, Florida and Ohio, to me, seem to be the most interesting. Georgia, a reliably red state, is now purple. Same with Arizona. Ohio, a reliable swing state, is now solidly red. Florida is now ruby red. Even with that… the bigger point the change from two red states to purple. Republicans now having to devote so many resources in Georgia and Arizona is not ideal, given they need to find a way to snag one of PA, WI or MI from time to time. It’s why MAGA is so obviously short sighted when they cheer Trump taking shots at the the WI R SC nominee that lost as he was outspent 4 to 1… as if that won’t play a part in the ‘24 Presidential election. DeSantis knows how to win. Knows how to play the game. In essence, he likely wins GA and AZ and understands what it takes in the Rust Belt/Upper Midwest states. Trump is out here taking meetings with Mike Lindell about the integrity of not ballot harvesting. Nevermind the fact he’s not liked in Georgia or Arizona. DeSantis can have Kemp deliver GA … Trump has a blood feud with one of the most popular Governors in a state he needs. -
All I can say is that the defense better be on lock during the playoffs if they trade up for a friggin LB. The reason many of us make the jump to offense is that none of these linebackers are projected to be gone by the time we draft, and most mocks don’t even have a LB going in RD1.

DeSantis For President in 2024?

I was born in Syracuse, grew up on Long Island .. am in my mid 30’s and have been down south for about 8 years now. I’m back and forth between Atlanta and South Carolina. It’s a slower pace, people are generally nicer, but yes.. the “southern hospitality” shtick is definitely encompassing some passive aggressiveness… ie bless your heart.. Much better weather, and less expensive than up north .. although metro Atlanta and places like Greenville and Charleston are not, at all, inexpensive. Tons of Bills fans in those areas. Not really sure how you quantify intellectual value. Plenty of ignorant, dumb people, on both sides of the aisle, in NY and down south. In fact, Long Island is far more racist and segregated than what I’ve witnessed down South (granted, I’m typically in/around cities) but I also never spent time in rural areas of NY either. Rarely, did I ever, see an interracial couple on Long Island … you see it quite often down here. -

Because New Yorkers keep leaving the state in droves for the South. Not even being snarky … that’s literally the answer. -
Good perspective on how good we were last year

I don’t think you know what the phrase “moving the goal posts” means. We’re all giving our opinions… therefore, the “TO ME” part should be implied. If we finish 13-4 this year, with the 3 seed, is that another great season? -

Your point about KC being the key. To me, a great regular season means getting the 1 seed. We have yet to do that. The 1 seed is the AFC is massive. Not just a big deal … massive. The one recent year KC didn’t get the 1, they were the 2, with the weakest 1 seed ever in Tennessee inevitably bowing out to give KC the de facto 1 in regards to home field. -
This. We have a lot of good players and already, where we stand, pretty good depth. We need elite players. If we are in position to get one, get one. We have OL depth, DL depth, Secondary depth, LB depth, RB depth, WR depth etc etc … What we don’t have is a stud cornerstone Offensive Lineman, stud RB, top tier WR2. In a deep Top tier Tackle class, with a RB like Bijan and (even in a weak class) some potential high level WR’s… the opportunity to address one of those spots seems - to me - more important than drafting another “good” player or keeping a Day 2 and/or mid-rounder to throw another guy into the depth & develop competition.

No one is saying we sucked. That is a strawman argument. We were good. We’ve had good regular seasons. A great regular season, imo, is when we finally get the 1 seed. -

Ah yes, Bills fans are clearly so entitled. What, with all our Super Bowl victories and the drought that was present for most of our lives. We had good regular seasons. Not great. Get the 1 seed, like KC manages to do.. thus giving them the easiest path to the Super Bowl, and I’ll agree we had a great regular season. -
Completely agree. With the rumors of us being open to a trade up, I have to think someone like Jack Campbell “may” be out of the picture in RD1. Being open to a trade up tells me the Bills want an impact player for Josh … which leads me to OL, WR or Bijan Robinson.

Except, we’re not … All this talk about our regular season success, how good our defense is in the regular season… How many 1 seeds? How do we think the playoffs go if our path is BYE .. Jax at home .. KC at home, with Hyde back..? It matters. -

So you haven’t read the bill. Don’t even know what it’s about. Don’t know any of the books he’s banned. But here you are, having a media-fed opinion on it. Also, I didn’t say DeSantis “should” ban them. I said I’d be fine if he did, because that’s where we are in politics now. I no longer care if R’s use over aggressive tactics against people who lie, propagandize and censor nonstop. Here’s the thing .. if it wasn’t so loudly corrected .. your easily manipulated self would be on here, and who knows where else, telling everyone that DeSantis arrested Rebekah Jones’ son over memes. You are quite literally the target of propagandists like those at the Miami Herald. -

I honestly don’t care anymore. Y’all locked down businesses, locked down schools, mandated vaccines, demonized dissent.. all the while knowing it was bs. Your side uses their levers of power to intimidate and censor dissent via tech/media. Now we’ve finally gone full third world and weaponized the legal system to go after the opposition. When it comes to politics, we’re becoming more Sunni vs Shia than one nation together. Politically speaking.. we’re a society on its last gasp. -

Clever.. We don’t need to discuss the books you want children to read, it’s gross enough as is. …and for the record, I’m fine if he does. Journalists want to go to war with conservative politicians.. return fire. Republicans need to stop with the niceties.. they’re dealing with propagandists in media and politicians across the aisle that are willing to abuse power to censor, intimidate and prosecute their opposition. It’s coming.. remember some of us warned y’all. -

In a world where journalists tend to act like propaganda arms for the left, that Miami Herald framing is even shocking… Absolutely wild how dishonest and deceitful that was. -
Polling shows that a vast majority of people believe the Trump indictment is political. Polling also shows that a slight majority still, while knowing that, believe he should be indicted. Summarizes where we are in a nutshell. We are becoming so hateful, so polarized, that people are ok censoring others and using the legal system to exact political vengeance. It won’t be long until Republicans come around and feel/do the same. We’re on our way to mutually assured destruction. Two America’s, where whoever is in power goes after it’s political opponents. We’ve already seen it with cancel culture. Conservatives finally got on board and now we see accounts like Libs of Tik Tok and others able to wield enormous power and get people fired (some justifiably). Boycotts engaged, going both ways. I already believe we’re witnessing the fall of the American Empire, so I won’t feel bad when those who locked down businesses and schools, while demonizing swaths of people and mandating bs vaccines.. those who cheer online censorship and demand corporate social justice compliance meet the same fate when R’s take more power. Your President told me I was responsible for others dying, and that I would experience a winter of death. **** your moral lecturing about Trump. Welcome to the new America your side has ushered in.
