Somewhat similar, I guess, but really not at all that close. Both Von vs OBJ and Buffalo’s situation vs Baltimore’s. It’s a stretch to try and compare.

Cover 1 Just put out a new Mock Draft, Edge round 1.
SCBills replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall
If there’s a legit Tackle available when we pick, and we go DL over OT, I’ll probably have the same reaction. I get it, if they truly believe in Brown to make a jump and the Kromer “Year Two” effect, but … yea …. DL over WR makes sense if they don’t feel there’s a huge difference between what’s there at 27 and what will be there in RD2. Which could very well be plausible. Or maybe they see how the draft falls after RD1 and we then pull a draft day trade for Hopkins. -

In RD1: OT WR Bijan Robinson DL (EDGE or DT) I guess it would be 4th, but not so distant that I’d be upset if they picked that position at 27. I think all four of those make sense in RD1. As far as linebacker goes, I don’t really have much of an appetite for drafting one at all. Let Bernard, Dodson and Spector battle it out and/or sign a vet who fits our scheme during camp cuts. -

I do feel like we could use another piece at EDGE, but I wonder if it doesn’t make more sense to just wait until we get closer to camp and sign one of the many pass rushers still available. This is a huge year for Rousseau, and the Bills will want to give Epenesa every chance to show he warrants a legit second contract, here, or elsewhere, but we could really use a reliable vet pass rusher to throw in the rotation and allow us to bring Von back slowly. If we do go defense again 27, it should be DL. LB is just such a value waste for that pick in a modern defense. -
He’s simply one of the people tweeting at Abbott to step in. From everything I’ve seen, this case is absolutely insane. Local police cleared Perry. Nobody was going to prosecute him due to everyone believing it was self defense. Then this DA stepped in, got an indictment in Austin. Then, reportedly, disallowed evidence, and got a conviction .. again .. in Austin, a deep blue city in a red state. There is literally video of Garrett Foster, who Perry shot and killed, pointing a gun at Perry in his vehicle as the BLM crowd surrounded his car. Expect this case to get a lot of publicity. These progressive DA’s need to be the focus of every Republican moving forward. Bragg is just the tip of the iceberg.

They said the same things about Edmunds. The way they talked about him made it seem like they’d match any offer. The Oliver stuff is coming from somewhere. Ultimately, I do think it’s more “hope” from some of us that he gets traded, but NFL Network guys have commented on him potentially getting moved, I have to imagine there’s some, albeit far-fetched or minor, rumors swirling that he could be available.
-
I’m sure Bragg is following this Soros backed DA template: -Indict on shaky ground, when others passed on the case. -Try the case in an area hostile to conservatives and/or conservative positions. -Unethical tactics in the prosecution of the case This is the new battleground. These DA’s let actual criminals walk as their cities fall, yet they prosecute their political opponents.

1) They don’t care if they lose business, this was done for their ESG score. Same reason all corporations bow down before this altar. 2) They know this will pass as nobody in this country has any semblance of an attention span. 3) They know most people are stupid. Rabble rabble boycott Bud Light!! …says the man who buys a case of Anheuser Busch owned Michelob Ultra instead. (fwiw, they are losing business. I know a rep who said it’s been a bloodbath this week .. but they likely knew this would happen and baked it in to their plans) -

If the GOP was smart, they’d hard pivot to Hispanics. Hispanic vote continues to shift to the right every election and they align on almost every value. Immigration is obviously the tightrope they have to walk, but studies show that once migrants come here, and have legal status, they actually value border security. -
Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
SCBills replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
Its always fun when people try to downplay KC’s talent.. They have 4/5 of a monster OL again and the following players at skill positions: Kelce (Best TE in the league) MVS (low end 2, high end 3) Toney (recent RD1 pick) Moore (recent RD2 pick) James (rotational WR) Our OL was bottom third last year and we have the following players at skill positions: Knox (Good TE) Diggs (Top 5 WR) Davis (low end 2, high end 3) Harty (unproven) Shakir (recent RD5 pick) Sherfield (rotational WR) Who’s Offense around the QB would you rather have going into the Draft? I think our OL could be much improved and maybe Knox, Davis, Harty and Shakir all make a jump, but I think it’s close. On potential, I’d probably take ours, but it’s a coin flip. -
Jeffrey Simmons extended with Titans - 4 years, $94 Million
SCBills replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Im all about Offense, and still would rather see Offense if this is the pick, BUT I would understand taking DL. LB in RD1 would be really tough to stomach, but someone like Mazi Smith I could get on board with. For me. RD1 should be Offense or DL. Anything else just doesn’t make sense or is a reach due to need. -
Another obvious case of white privilege. Why would a conservative want to live in Austin after this?… This decision is going to become a lightning rod - especially if Abbott steps in as he is being called to do by a lot of people on social media right now. Expect the fight against Progressive DA’s to explode as we head into the next few years. They are making far too many controversial and politically driven decisions. Some go free for obvious heinous crimes, while others get targeted.

Why is it Democrats and MSNBC Liberals have such an issue with any liberal journalist that doesn’t follow their status quo? It’s nonstop now… Matt Taibbi Bari Weiss Michael Schellenberger Aaron Mate Jimmy Dore Glenn Greenwald Do you ever stop to wonder why you’re now the party of ex-Intel officials and the Bush Administration? How did that flip occur? Some true progressives actually have the guts to call it out. -

Pretty sure I just explained why. Also, the only ones parroting Mehdi Hasan and his weak hit job on Taibbi over some minor details, are the typical MSNBC types that lied to us about Hunter’s laptop, Covid, Russian bounties and the Steele Dossier… so I’m not very apt to believe anything they say. And, again, Hasan didn’t address any of the claims of substance … he hit Taibbi on a date, and was later proved wrong on the acronym (Taibbi was right or at least partially correct). -

This has been discussed in other threads and Hasan has been called out by actual progressives like Aaron Mate and Jimmy Dore, re: Matt Taibbi. His producers found one wrong date and nitpicked on an acronym that may or may not be correct. Notice he has nothing when it comes to actual points of substance in the Twitter files. He attempted a gotcha moment over minor details, which Taibbi acknowledged and now Mehdi Hasan and his lackeys are using it to run cover for the state. Of course you would be falling for this …. Of course… -

Why do you think there is such a war on school boards right now? For so long, conservatives & right leaning independents paid no mind to things like school boards (and, fwiw, local judges), however Dems/Progressives smartly realized that the easiest way to gain influence is through local judges and school systems. Covid opened up the eyes of many, but were now seeing decades of progressive influence at the local level. As for your second point, I’d agree .. Millennials are struggling, but scraping by.. Gen Z may be the first generation in a long time that truly feels left behind. -

I’d agree with that. Also the marriage rate mixed with childless women in their 30’s definitely plays a big part in the Millennial political landscape. The voting difference between married women (lean R) and single women (landslide D) is staggering. -
Two Bills Drive being correct on the Draft: Who did we get right?

Creed Humphrey over Boogie Basham and the board clamoring for DK Metcalf definitely come to mind for me. Far too early to say Breece Hall over Kaiir Elam is a valid stance. -
Good perspective on how good we were last year
SCBills replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
People keep saying it takes luck, but the Chiefs are literally always there in the end. Before them, it was the Patriots. I do agree, to an extent. Give us a healthy Von Miller/Micah Hyde and the Chiefs losing Chris Jones for the year and who knows how things play out. …. But at some point, luck/injuries can’t be the excuse when we just finished a dominant run by the Pats, only to usher in a new one by the Chiefs. -

People say this about every young generation, and as they get older, we see the same political dynamics we’ve always had. I will say though, that there are two things R’s need to immediately understand and address: 1) Democrats are mobilizing Gen Z far better than any young Generation we’ve seen. Typically they’re loud but don’t vote - not so anymore. Much of that due to the advancement of tech, and the ability of D’s to understand that and pair it with culture. Also, years of Dems targeting institutions is paying off. We didn’t just rapidly get to a point where young people were radicalized anti-gun, climate justice, trans right activists … it was gradual influencing through the school system. 2) The reason people become more conservative as they get older typically has to do with them getting married, having kids and career advancement. -Marriage rates, down. -People having children, down. -Post Covid, Its a very different economy. Gen Z is on pace to make the least amount of money of any generation, therefore they are more apt to believe in govt dependency.
