  1. With how aggressive this defense is in every report from practice, how on earth did McDermott keep his sanity with these Frazier-led defenses? I guess the regular season results were enough to keep his true nature at bay.. but I think I’d lose my mind if I was a HC and my DC was out here running bend-don’t break defense all day.
  2. Murdered white farmers are hilarious.
  3. This. Conservatives finally figured out how to fight back with cancel culture, but are still behind the curve in using the legal system to attack their opponents.
  4. Im also high on an AJE breakout year, but in regards to us having “zero patience”… Its not going to go well for us, when Josh Allen has massive cap hits, if high draft picks are meh for their first two years, solid in Year 3 and then potentially play up to their draft position in their contract year.
  5. Ngl… I’m starting to buy into the “healthy” Gabe hype.
  6. Yea .. I can’t fault Beane for last year on the DL. If KC lost Jones for the season, they don’t win the Super Bowl either. OL .. eh, I can’t agree. KC has been willing to pay elite LT money and elite G money for Brown and Thuney, along with taking a Center people labeled as “can’t miss” high. They hit on Trey Smith, because they are willing to take risks… something I hope doesn’t happen again with Justyn Ross. Weve paid good money to Dawkins and Morse, but up until this past year, went stop gap at Guard and bet on a raw RD3 pick at RT. Some if it is they hit on Smith, while we are wait and see on Brown .. but they’ve also shelled out big money in addition to a high draft pick.
  7. Pretty gross to see what’s happening. I live in SEC country, and there’s at least still the passion and rivalry, along with (somewhat) of a geographic relevance to the conference, but my college is Syracuse.. and it’s only a matter of time before the ACC implodes with FSU/Clemson to the SEC and UNC/NC State to the B1G.
  8. Two main personnel disparities between the Bills and Chiefs.. -They prioritized, and hit, on OL. -They have had a gamewrecker on the DL. Coaching aside, what’s the saying … “the game is won in the trenches”?
  9. Agreed. I think we learned a lesson with those picks. Our backfield now consists of 3 guys who have distinct high level skills with a weakness. Cook - elite game speed & pass catching but needs to get better in pass pro. Harris - Power back with some speed, but is meh at receiving Murray - Power back, good pass pro, but up there in age Never again do I want to see us draft 3 down backs who have no high level skills, while doing everything “average to good”. Which is Singletary in a nutshell. Moss I had higher hopes for .. he just didn’t work out.
  10. Milano is more than a “good starter”, however… he’s an elite LB in a world where you have to hit on QB to be relevant, and then OL, DL & WR to be a contender. Beane’s biggest issue was the back to back RD2 picks of AJE & Basham, followed by back to back RD3 picks of Bernard & Williams. If you’re going to do that on consecutive Day 2’s, one of them needs to hit. He still has time for one of Bernard or Williams, but is running out of it with AJE and Basham - as we’re essentially at a place with AJE where he’s finally a legitimate rotational pass rusher and we get one year of that production from him before we either lose him, or have to allocate cap space to him. In fairness.. I think Elam, Cook, Kincaid and Torrence may be the guys that swing the pendulum back to Beane’s side.
  11. I’m all for Floyd.. I will always make an exception for defensive spending on pass rush… that said, we spent real money this off-season on bringing back Poyer and signing Floyd. That’s our DeAndre Hopkins money right there. We’ll see if that was the right move.
  12. The last OL that was sliding and Bills fans were begging the team to take was Trey Smith. Really hope that isn’t the case again with Dawand Jones .. who I distinctly remember Bills fans clamoring for in RD3.
  13. Got Floyd for less than Ngakoue It was reported he took less to sign with us .. wonder what his other offers were for?
  14. By far, my biggest annoyance in NFL media coverage is the constant pretending that Mahomes having an elite OL doesn’t factor into anything. Heavens be… how did he win anything when Hill left him with only a top 2 OL and the best receiving weapon in the league!?
  15. Dawand Jones better be terrible .. that’s all I’ve got to say about that.
  16. If Kaiir Elam can play to his strengths and build on this practice, the potential of a secondary consisting of White, Elam, Johnson, Hyde and Poyer is absurd.
  17. He didn't catch it. Doesn't matter if he spazzed on it or it moved slightly and hit the ground... he didn't make the play. He's a RD5 draft pick that doesn't have any elite qualities.. If he wants to be anything more than a depth WR/fringe roster player.. he has to make those plays - both in games and in practice.
  18. Welp.. Glad I like our OL at the other 4 spots, because RT is looking like an adventure. Not a good sign, and sad because it sounds like he was pretty good today too.
  19. He has to be able to block, somewhat, otherwise he's just a really big, slow slot WR. Now maybe he's so good that he's Travis Kelce-esque in the slot and it doesn't matter if teams treat him as such... but I think the conversation Jeremy White had yesterday about the failure of Ertz/Goedert in Philly is at least a worthwhile discussion.
  20. Not the worst thing for a WR5 - 2nd year RD5 pick, but he's starting to come across as an ok depth WR. Can get open at a decent clip, but just doesn't make the big play. Had a chance to make a huge play in the playoffs... dropped it. Similar themes recurring in camp. Hope he can get over the hump, but the reports I'm reading, don't give me a ton of confidence in Shakir as starting slot. Harty has elite speed. Sherfield is an elite blocker. Shakir comes across as the Devin Singletary of WR's so far...
  21. I have NFLN on at the office, and I'm pretty sure that play happened live, right behind their set up.
  22. I think Hamlin would get signed to a 53 elsewhere if we cut him. Most teams don’t have Hyde, Poyer and Rapp taking up 3 of 4 spots. I don’t envy Beane and company on cutdown day..
