  1. Come playoff time, we have no reason (yet) to think Kelce won't be anything but Kelce. Rice will be back when it matters. Brown & Worthy don't blow anyone's doors off, no, but they do play well off Kelce & Rice who operate in the short/intermediate. That skill group isn't elite, but Kelce is proven elite / Kincaid is not, yet.. Rice has flashed WR1 potential / Shakir is good, but probably more of a complimentary WR .. Brown and Samuel are similar players with different skill sets.. And both teams are depending on a rookie Worthy / Coleman.
  2. I disagree. We could be a juggernaut if everything goes as planned, but we have a lot of what-ifs right now on Offense due to a lack of a true WR1. If we traded for Aiyuk or Metcalf, I honestly don’t know how anyone stops this Offense. I firmly believe we will have a Top 12 OL. Kromer is one of the best in the biz and we have a lot of talented pieces & guys who have been in the system for multiple years on the Offensive Line. You give Allen the following: RB1 - Cook RB2 - Davis RB3 - Johnson TE1 - Kincaid TE2 - Knox TE3 - Morris FB - Gilliam WR1 - DK Metcalf WR2 - Keon Coleman WR3 - Curtis Samuel WR4 - Khalil Shakir WR5 - MVS Sheesh… Good Luck
  3. CBS anytime the Bills and Chiefs play.
  4. Didn't we all think last years schedule was an absolute monster too? And didn't we think the season was over when we stumbled through the "easy" part and had to go on a run through the gauntlet part? Not going to stress about it. You never know who's in and who's out week to week in the NFL. We lost to the Bengals last year, but if that game was scheduled a few weeks later, probably win it easily. It's not so much who you play, but when you play them. We go through this every year.
  5. I think he had a big game against Indy in the Wild Card a few years back too.
  6. In other words .. he's literally Gabe Davis. Steps up in big moments and the team tried to make him more than what he is.
  7. I just don't really see us making a move for another WR at this point. We have 3 locks and 2 semi-locks on this roster. They've brought in about 20 people to compete for WR6. I'm certainly hoping for a surprise trade for Aiyuk or DK Metcalf, but I just don't logically see it. I think the 6/1 money is likely earmarked for another defensive piece, either on the DL or Secondary.. and if Von Miller & Dawuane Smoot show well in their workouts, maybe Beane just holds onto that money.
  8. Netflix has been lacking. I can't think of anything I've really watched on there recently outside Stranger Things. HBO Max has House of the Dragon coming out. Prime just had Fallout and a new season of The Boys coming up.
  9. Coleman Shakir Samuel MVS Hollins Top 4, IMO, will all get legitimate reps each game. WR5 Hollins will have a smaller role on Offense while playing Special Teams. WR6 Battle is going to be wild and I honestly have no idea what Shorter is. We thought enough of him to use a draft pick. He played with an erratic QB at UF, didn't have much in the way of coaching and then redshirted last year.
  10. I love when these broadcast partners flex like everyone should be excited. Everyone hates this, but we'll watch anyway. It is what it is.
  11. How is it that Fetterman goes 10x harder on these communists than any Republican in the Senate… by a lot.
  12. Spending available cap space is nowhere close to “pushing all our chips in”. Regardless, writing off a prime year of Josh Allen is absolute malpractice. Next year we will still have some cap space, but more importantly, will be able to infuse the roster with another massive influx of young, cheap talent with our 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 4, 4 etc., draft capital.
  13. I don’t know that we make a trade, but I 100% think he’s using some of it one of the positions you just outlined. I think they’ll monitor Von and see what he looks like .. and if need be, make a call to Ogbah, Clowney etc. Could also see depth a CB. Trade for a WR or a signing like Justin Simmons are what I’d want, but think are unlikely.
  14. I guarantee you he doesn't only use that money for that.
  15. Not the biggest fan of Vivek, but holy hell he is an effective communicator on this..
  16. From the state that brought you “black people don't know what computers are”…
  17. Counterpoint is that the Dolphins will have their pass rushers as the season progresses. They've also lost a good bit and may not have Chubb or Phillips to start the season.
  18. Let's just hope the Defense, where we have recent investment in guys like Oliver, Jones, Epenesa, Von, Milano, Johnson & Douglas, along with high draft picks in Rousseau, Carter, Bernard, Elam & Bishop also holds up it's end of the deal. Especially when it matters. We've asked Josh to carry this team since he made the jump to elite QB. Analyst after analyst point out how he's asked to do more for our team than any QB in the league has to do for theirs. And for the most part, he has elevated everyone. And in the Playoffs, he is the equal to the man leading the league's current dynasty. Now, we seem to be building an Offense that is equipped to take more off his plate, but without anyone that truly scares a Defense (as we sit here today). Let's see how it goes. We only get so many prime Josh Allen years. They better have a plan, and that plan better work.
  19. Judging by Embedded, if we didn't go Ray Davis, it was going to be Van Pran-Granger, who we got a round later. I'm not in love with spending a 4th on a RB. That said.. I do think Brady's Offense likes having good receivers as backs. When Cook comes out and Davis goes in, we might not have the down field WR routes that Cook can run, but Davis is an above average receiving back, so we still can operate the same offense regardless of who's in the game.
  20. Here's why people have this view: WR is the one position these past few years where we have under-invested. And in the past two years, it was an evident problem down the stretch and into the playoffs. Yes, the Defense continually lets us down when it matters. But I don't even know what to say anymore. They unclutchness of some of these players, the injuries we keep sustaining to major pieces.. ok, what do we do? Because we continually invest heavily on Defense. They simply need to be healthier and step up. On Offense, we can at least point to a fundamental team building flaw that has been evident in the postseason. And sure, our Defense got shredded by Mahomes (shocker) but Josh Allen still put us in position to beat them with his play. Only to be let down by his WR's, one of which gave up on the season around Week 10 and the other who had zero business being out there in that game.
  21. Coleman, Shakir and Samuel are likely all here for .. at least .. this season and next. If MVS works out, they'll likely bring him back. I do get them wanting to see if Coleman can the WR1 and Shakir can be a top tier Slot. It's risky though.. and you only get so many prime years of a Josh Allen. Aiyuk seems like such a perfect fit for this team, but we can't force SF to trade him to us and I don't know that I see Beane pulling the trigger on a trade on a guy who's already 30/pushing 30 given how they may not be long term options and would likely hinder them seeing what Coleman's true potential is. Not saying I agree with it, but trying to look at this from the Bills POV. And I tend to think we're done at WR now. We seem set 1-5 (right or wrong) and you don't bring in all these guys to compete for a spot/spots if they don't exist. Trading for an Aiyuk, Lockett, DK, Hopkins etc slides everyone down a spot and maybe puts Hollins into a camp battle with everyone, but the way Beane talks about him, he sounds like a lock.
  22. Checked out the Fins board reaction to this. Not happy they lose the sun advantage. They do like that we have to travel on short rest. Did note that Chubb and Phillips may not be back for Week 2.
  23. We've, at least, addressed the depth. What was completely unacceptable is for two years in a row, having lack of WR depth kill us in the playoffs. Two years prior we limped into the playoffs and had street FA's taking major snaps. Last year we lose Gabe and have Trent Sherfield playing major snaps against KC in the Divisional Round. Absolute JOKE. What I will, most assuredly, find maddening is how we always have money & high picks for DL, while hanging WR out to dry. And judging by the MVS signing, along with the 55 other random receivers brought in, that 6/1 money is probably going to the DL... because we always have money for that, even though they never show up when it matters.
  24. This is a very fair take. Most fans of other teams would look at Coleman - Shakir - Samuel - MVS - Hollins and agree with you. That can change when we see them on the field, in this offense, with Brady, with Allen. But as of today, that WR room doesn't scare anyone, and we - as Bills fans - are taking the best case scenario, which is that Brady is the real deal at play caller, Allen can elevate these guys, Kincaid is the #1 ala Kelce/Andrews and these WR's are all, at least, WR2/WR3 ability. We have an interesting collection of talent on Offense. Allen is obviously elite. I think we likely have a Top 12 OL again. RB's and TE's are arguably Top 5 groups in the league. The WR room makes a lot of sense 1-5, but has no one, as of yet, that scares anyone. I can't fault those who are optimistic and I also can't fault those who are pessimistic. The fact is, this WR room is a bottom tier group on paper.. and while KC/BAL rooms aren't world beaters, they have more proven talent and Tight Ends that have shown they can be the focal point of the passing game.
