  1. Do we win in this hypothetical? If we won, we’d be convincing ourselves the injuries were just the perfect storm but we overcame and will get healthy for Baltimore. But we lost. Which is the entire point.
  2. The only chance we had of this was if we missed the playoffs. In retrospect, McDermott getting this team to make a late season run at it might end up being one step forward, two steps back.
  3. Anyone just feel helpless in regards to this team today? It’s like watching someone you care about decide to stay in their toxic, dead-end relationship. We all know what the problem is, but we can’t do anything about it.
  4. The 1 seed is MASSIVE Everything else is whatever. Baltimore: BYE, Home Houston Last year.. KC: BYE, Home Jacksonville
  5. Yea.. people keep saying just hit Diggs for the first down. It would’ve been close. 50/50 its 3rd and 1.
  6. Florio posted about how we’ve allowed an average of 36 ppg while forcing 1 turnover and 0 sacks against KC in 3 playoff games. At some point, it doesn’t matter what we do on defense if that’s what we get under this staff in the postseason against KC (or CIN) Do what’s needed on defense to be a middle of the pack unit to get you through the regular season and load up on offense. Fwiw, KC had an elite defense this year and if Sherfield and Diggs aren’t awful last night, Allen would’ve gone nuclear on them.
  7. This stat is….. my goodness (he clarified on the Hardman fumble out of the end zone Still… how are we supposed to ever beat them with this?
  8. I don’t know enough about the cap to understand if Diggs plus a pick for Lamb at some point could work? Both players relationships with their current team/qb seem strained.
  9. I thought if they beat KC, and got some guys back… yea. And I thought they would beat KC. Im officially GW Bush levels of can’t be fooled again with McDermott now, so from here on out, put me down for a no.
  10. He's already clearly not. Does that mean success will follow, who knows.. but at least they took a swing in a moment where the urgency was higher than ever.
  11. Syracuse had the mandate this past season, after years of coming up short (on a different level), to improve upon their last season. When it became apparent that this wasn't going to happen, Syracuse moved on from Dino Babers and hired Fran Brown. There were some Dino defenders, but most of the fanbase knew it was time. The urgency was there with the impending conference realignment in the now Power 4. Fran Brown has injected life into the fanbase.. best recruiting class in years.. brought the donors back and has high caliber transfers. A world I never knew was even possible for Syracuse Football any longer. We'll see what happens with their future, but it's so much brighter now than I ever thought possible. Now here we are, in the prime of Josh Allen. One of, if not, THE most talented QB in the history of this league. The urgency to get over the hump is real. Yet, here we are, with a HC who has proven time and time again that he can't get it done on the big stage. It's known by EVERYONE outside the organization, yet it falls on deaf ears. I worry that our Fran Brown is available.. An innovative Offensive mind so we don't have to keep worrying about our OC's taking HC interviews in the Playoffs or having sway in the front office that lends itself to heavy investment on that side of the ball to the detriment of the reason we are here.. Josh Allen. Or maybe Jim Harbaugh, a guy who has won everywhere he's been. A guy who is not just a leader of men, but someone who rallies a team to be more than the sum of it's parts. A culture guy, but this time, a culture guy with a track record. I couldn't take another year of Dino Babers and if Syracuse kept him, they risked falling into obscurity right at the height of conference realignment. I'm not sure how much longer I can take the obvious coaching disadvantage we have in these high stakes Playoffs Games during Josh Allen's prime. At some point he will no longer be 27... he'll be 34 and still likely very good, but not running over people and willing the team to victory. We still have a handful of shots of Josh Allen in his prime, but every year, we lose a bullet from the chamber.
  12. Ah yes, I must not have been clear when I said "Chiefs - Ravens" that I was talking about the Chiefs vs the Ravens.
  13. Flame away if anyone would like... I can stomach us not being able to get over the hump right now if KC with Mahomes/Reid/Kelce/Jones etc is just the new Patriots dynasty. I can't stomach it if both Cincinnati (Burrow) and Baltimore (Lamar) have found a way.
  14. Yes. I can't blame McDermott for kicking on a 4th and 9 with a makeable FG, but we all knew it was over the second Bass trotted onto the field. We just didn't realize it would be our kicker ending it.
  15. It's amazing, right? New England was lucky for a decade. KC has been lucky for six years running. Somehow only teams like us have the aw shucks, ol' bad breaks.. Or maybe it's more than that and people who chalk things up to luck use it as a defense mechanism when they repeatedly come up short.
  16. I agree, but his overall point is that none of that matters when you don't win. Allen had the most insane 4th quarter, clutch throw I've ever seen in my life. Diggs dropped it. Nobody cares. It doesn't exist. It's a ghost. Mahomes throwing to a wide open Kelce is the highlight plastered all over television today. The all-time great QB connecting with his all-time great TE. That highlight very well could have been Allen connecting with Diggs as the Bills go on to face the Ravens. But it's not.. It doesn't exist. Allen to Shakir at the pylon was better than any throw Mahomes has made in the playoffs, but it's a footnote in the Mahomes story, instead of a highlight in Allen's. It's not, at all, over dramatic. Go outside our fanbase. Allen is becoming a main character in the Mahomes story and it has nothing to do with Allen. That's the worst part. If nothing changes, we will look back at this as the biggest waste of talent in the history of the NFL.. How's that for over dramatic?
  17. Absolute gut punch Short of Allen demanding we fire McDermott, I don’t ever believe these paragraphs will change
  18. The "this close" hand gesture to Allen on that bomb was such a clown move. That's a "pat your chest , my bad" gesture.
  19. KIncaid is going to be a superstar. Shakir has all the making of a top tier Slot WR with inside/outside flex. Should have had 2 TD's yesterday along with making multiple tough catches. Why do we need to sign big name WR's? This draft is loaded. Diggs would be perfect for teams with cap space and/or Dallas if they want to fulfill that fantasy. RD1/RD2 give Allen a couple WR's like Green Bay has while knowing we bring back a very good OL with a trio of Kincaid, Shakir and Cook.
  20. I still think he has WR1 ability in him, but I think it's run it's course here. I do think he and Allen have some sort of friction for whatever reason. And I do think he's out of rhythm from not being the focal point. I don't think he has Top 5 WR ability any longer though. Unless it's revealed he's had a major injury, the last half of the season and the playoffs are just not on that level... not even close.
  21. No more tweaking. Tear it down. I don't think that means a wasted year either. Our defense will still have Oliver, Rousseau, Milano, Bernard, Douglas, Benford, Johnson. Just need to add enough to make it a middle of the pack group. On Offense, if we take this tear it down strategy, I'd rather keep Morse. Bring back this Top 5 OL. Know you have Shakir, Kincaid, Knox and Cook. Draft WR's early and often. Preferably doubling up on Day 1 and Day 2.
  22. Bills Top 5 OL comes back next year. James Cook year 3. Kincaid Year 2. Shakir Year 3. There's your trio to rely on heading into next season. I'm more than willing go heavy WR early in this draft. I'd literally pull a Rousseau/Boogie and hope they actually get it right with the WR's.
  23. There's a chance. I didn't believe it would be on the table prior to this post-season, but I think this off-season might shock some people. The Bills can clear cap, and maybe it's not to re-sign guys.. maybe it's to reload through the draft and get younger.
  24. This X 1000 Spags has a leaky run defense and lost his best run stuffing DT heading into our game. He made adjustments in the second half and said nah, y'all aren't running the ball down our throats so find another way. We somehow took absolutely nothing away from them. Pacheco running the ball, go ahead. Kelce wide open, go ahead. Other WR's down the field, go ahead.
  25. IF the Bills are able to maneuver around his cap hit and someone offers a Second Round Pick. Do you take it? Where there's a will, there's a way and I think it's a no-brainer to trade him at this point if not for the dead cap. I was on his side over the summer, but he's just negative energy at this point. Weird vibes and doesn't back it up on the field. Gets shut down, again, by Kansas City. Fumbles on the first play. Drops a 65 yard bomb in the 4th Quarter from Allen and makes a gesture intimating that it was on Allen. I'm over it. I'd rather give Allen a couple Day 1/Day 2 Wide Receivers to go with Kincaid, Knox, Shakir and Cook at this point. The dead cap hit might make this completely impossible, but if the Bills can get creative, I think we're better off. The relationship just seems like it's run it's course.
