Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
SoCal Deek replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m not sure it’s the case at the new Bills Stadium but when we design them it has to extend far enough to accommodate a soccer field, which is wider than a football field. -

it looked to me like his wife was telling him to make a run for it. Or could it be that wasn’t his wife? 😂

Is our defense really that complicated? Really?

This debate rages on, year after year. It always seems to boil down to speed at WR. I’m not so convinced. The question should be whether the offense has a variety of routes on every play, not a variety of throws. Put another way, no matter how fast your WRs are it doesn’t mean the defense is just going to let them run deep behind the opposing safeties because they don’t believe we’ll throw it deep. What you really want are route trees that cause mismatches and overloads in the opposing secondary.

Hard to believe there are six AFC teams with either 1 or less wins after five weeks. Anyone know whether that’s typical?

Quite a few times this season Josh has changed the play at the line into something that simply hasn’t worked. Now…there’s no telling what the original call was.

10/5/2025 GAMEDAY Bills vs Patriots Post Game Thread SNF
SoCal Deek replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
The final series was horrible play calling after Shakir dropped the WR screen. At that point you need to eat clock on second and third down. Either the Patriots waste their time outs or you take the clock way down. You call two simple, short yardage plays and see if you can get it to a first down or fourth and one or two. The Bills will simply never learn how to manage the clock under this coaching leadership. -
For all you McDermott haters, who would you want? (Now a poll)
SoCal Deek replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, yeah, yeah….look at the stat line. Maye and Allen had the EXACT SAME stat line for virtually the exact same yardage 22-30 completions. But…Josh’s 31st attempt was a pick in the red zone and Maye didn’t throw one. That one bad throw cost the Bills the game or everyone would be looking at the lone remaining team at 5-0 this morning. -
A Few Thoughts about the Pats Game - Post yours as well
SoCal Deek replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
The game came down to turnovers…period. It’s been so long since Bills fans have experienced losing the turnover battle that we’ve all forgotten what a HUGE difference it makes in the outcome of a game. If you look at the Team Stats, we actually won across the board in virtually every stat. Just looking at the stat line you’d swear the Bills must’ve won that game. Even penalties came out pretty darn close in the end. But, you cannot turn the ball over three times and expect to win many games in the NFL….period. -

Why do we keep absolutely ignoring the D Line in the draft? It’s obvious this team needs to rush the passer….dammit! 😳 -

Field Logo & End Zone Change for Tomorrow?
SoCal Deek replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep….they typically roll up the turf, and lay new turf down, but they can also use paint. It’s not uncommon to see the shadow of the old logo showing through. -

Keep in mind that back when the Bills began, the players bagged groceries in the offseason. I highly doubt that you’ll see either Josh or his starlet wife working the produce section at Wegmans this spring. -
Field Logo & End Zone Change for Tomorrow?
SoCal Deek replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s isn’t difficult to change the artificial field graphics. They literally do it once a week at Met Life and So Fi stadiums where two teams share the field. -

There’s nothing to see here. It’s the natural evolution of things. Sure, Major League sports have become more expensive as they’ve become more and more popular. This has been happening slowly over many decades. But “corporations”? I think not. It’s nothing more than a business model. Some car manufacturers target higher end customers. So do some restaurants, and clothing stores. But….there are plenty of options to attend entertainment events (sports, theater, etc) that are not super expensive. For example, I regularly attend college games of almost every sport that are actually FREE. It’s competitive and a ton of fun.
