Moss was arguably still in his prime and coming from OAKLAND. Bledsoe STARTED his career in New England as the first overall pick and never went back after leaving. Dillon had a single down year with injuries in Cincinnati before going to New England and only his first year there was really good. Welker had 3 total starts in 4 years before going to New England so you can't even count him as "getting going again". Edelman played his entire career with New England. Dude, you really suck at this.

Yeah he had one massive anomaly season, the only one of his career where he had at least a 2-1 TD-INT ratio and the only one in the last seven years with better than 7.2 yards per pass. Also the only year he had a passer rating over 88 without dumping 107 completions to CMC. SOMETHING good was going on with that team and I don't think it was all on Cam. Actually it's from when Zeke was streaming playing video games and a viewer asked him to comment on why Josh has more rushing TDs than him over the last 2 years (Zeke actually has 1 more, but whatever), and Zeke responded by saying it's because Josh is a beast. I find it funny how people still go on about how Josh is inaccurate and that Cam is going to carry the Pats to a Super Bowl, while forgetting that Cam has had only ONE season over the last six with at least 60% completion (CMC's first year as full time starter and world champion of checkdowns) and that Josh is only going to get better. I was more just critiquing the weird narrative some have that the virus isn't more dangerous for the elderly. Not really trying to make specific claims.

That's an interesting...spin...on those statistics to try to minimize the perceived risk to the elderly. Using broad demographics like "aged 20-64", and weasel words like "a significant number". The important takeaway from it actually is that age 45+ sees a rise in hospitalizations, and 65+ sees a rise in deaths, as expected. I don't understand the need to try to twist things to minimize that truth.

I figure there will be another increase to completion percentage (including more checkdowns) once they feel Josh has his hit ceiling. Fast forward his development first and then tweak his efficiency once you really know what you're working with. The real long game by McBeane.

Huh. I didn't actually realize this was the case. This is much more useful than threads like "Josh's completion percentage isn't that bad if you consider that if he had 2 more completions a game his percentage would be X." I remember thinking there were times I wish he would have checked it down instead of trying to be the hero but in general you can't raise him above "game manager" playing for field position and not to lose and to championship material playing to win without taking the shots. Last season I felt confused that I was no longer instantly calculating on 3rd and longs where the punt would end up or how many yards would get us in field goal range. I found myself instead thinking about how well the O-line would hold up to give receivers time to get open down field or if Josh would have to roll out, or seeing who was covering who and where the gaps in coverage would be. What a feeling.
