  1. Already been explained by multiple people the clock was stopped. No clock to run out.
  2. For the record, my laughing out loud is only directed at the general insanity that keeps following him, not at what he allegedly did to those women.
  3. Yeah I considered that but figured that would be an "after the play" penalty and only affect field position, not replay the down. Suspensions would help though.
  4. It would be even better if you could get the D to commit a penalty like hands to the face (trying to escape the holding) to offset the team hold and play the down again.
  5. I love these threads. But you don't need to root for anyone if we just keep winning.
  6. When they are averaging 3.4 yards per play with time not on their side, you give them the long field. You don't risk giving them a short field to get lucky with. Is that the situation where you have the entire offense clutch onto a defender each and pull them onto the ground to run out the clock? I think I saw the Ravens do that. Well someone did that once.
  7. Yards per play is the big stat for me.
  8. "Never attribute to malice that which could easily be explained by stupidity." The circumstances do seem shady, but with AB being a complete nutjob the Occam's Razor explanation is that he skipped those team activities (and froze his feet) just because he's dumb and thinks he's bigger than the team. I don't think he's a skilled enough actor to be so convincing in his fight with the GM (considering he was so dumb as to freeze his feet), or smart/dedicated enough to freeze his feet on purpose in a plot to miss team time.
  9. I take it you are setting the over/under at 3.5 weeks and taking the over then? How are you differentiating between a mid-game blowup and a blowup any other day of the week? Probably would be better to just pick which NFL game week it happens in (a pool, not an over/under), or set the over/under by number of days (with a .5 to avoid pushes).
  10. I reviewed the slow mo of his "stumble" and not even a drunk person would stumble like that. His third step in getting up is to plant his left foot and drive himself to the right towards Allen. For one, a stumbling person wouldn't drive to the side like that. Then two, rather than try to get his right leg back on the ground to stop the stumble, he actually lifts it and keeps it elevated as he flies into Allen's knee. That's a clear dive. *edit* Also at the end his left foot also leaves the ground before his right even hits ground, even bracing his hand on the ground to maintain his trajectory before getting his legs back under him. If that's not a clear dive I don't know what is.
  11. Have you never heard of "accidentally on purpose"? If he lights up Allen there, that's instant suspension and fine. He already has a reputation from injuring Hauschka on a cheap shot last year, and already got a roughing the passer penalty earlier in the game. So instead he "accidentally stumbles" into him on purpose.
  12. In the first half (with Mosley still in) we had 12 plays of 8+ yards and 3 plays of 25+ yards, despite lost opportunities from fluke turnovers and whatnot.
  13. Can you call roughing the kicker on your own blocker?
  14. People complaining about the Saints being in a high scoring game. I actually heard someone object to it being "too easy to score".
  15. Oh damn I forgot the double header. Gonna be up late tonight.
  16. That would have been good from 68 yards. What a boot.
  17. Lol I just heard someone who will never get "mic'd up".
  18. Wow another terrible call. Sure it would have been overturned if the Texans picked it up, but he was down clear as day.
  19. Looked like something out of the home opener against the Colts a few years ago.
