He made a smart play there. He tried.

Niners need a turnover.
-
Even if Bernard alone didn't get hurt - I feel like this could be our moment.
-
Niners have gotta get some points on the board They can win this game going away if they start scoring.
-
Remember - it doesn't matter how many mistakes his teammates make. If KC loses - it's on Mahomes, an Mahomes only. Let's be consistent, league fans & pundits.
-
Why do you refuse that penalty? For 2 yards?
-
Niners are a better team, and they're playing better. But turnovers & penalties are always an equalizer.
-
There just isn't that much I like about Mahomes.
-
So, I guess Gronk & Mahomes are the only athletes getting hired for commercials now?

All of these games are a play or 2 - w/ the exception of the Cincy game last year. But that was a team that was emotionally exhausted. I've gone back & forth on McD, but he's a solid coach. And that's a really good thing to have. Watching the playoffs and the regular season, there is so much bad coaching in the league. If Chris Jones, gets to Allen a half second later, we're probably playing today. And Reid used to be viewed the same way in Philly. Good enough to get a team just so far - but not able to get over the final hump. He got further in those years, but Philly fans still wanted him out. Now, he's widely considered the best coach in the league.

I'm sorely disappointed that we're not in this game - the AFC was probably as easy as it's likely to be in the upcoming years. I think we had one injury too many for the KC game - otherwise, we'd be here. But I'm trying to appreciate how calm and stress-free I am right now, and the fact that in 6 hours or so, there is no way I can be devastated by the game's result. I'll sleep fine either way.

Eagles/Pats. It was a pretty negative experience. Maybe I was just in a bad section, but it felt kind of toxic, and it was hard to see some plays from where I was sitting. I wouldn't go to another one, especially if it was the Bills playing. Paul McCartney was great, though.

There are really 2 kinds of fans: fans who strictly root for laundry, and fans who love both the laundry, and the game. Neither is better or worse.

The fuss about Swift just isn't something I relate to. No idea why it bugs people. Girlfriend of player goes to games, has fun. How can that be bad?

I was just talking w/ my friends about this yesterday. It will absolutely happen. But it won't have that much lasting power. It will just be a few months of annoyance.

Anyone check the Pats boards on this topic? Mahomes needs 8 Super Bowls to surpass Brady, per them. That's really not how it works. Bill Russell isn't the GOAT in basketball. And there is some idea that it's meaningful that Brady beat Mahomes in their head-to-head match-ups. As though it's tennis.

The Bills are now the top dog in terms of heartbreaking losses & disappointment. There really isn't another team that matches us in that regard - we have so many losses that have names most sports fans recognize And we've gotten more fiercely loyal over the years. Far from giving up, most of us are even more committed, and proud to be Bills fans. And there is something about the nature of the city. Small market nestled in the far reaches of western NY, which is buried in snow for good portions of the year. The Bills are THE main attraction. That's just not the case with larger markets.

What are the greatest or your favorite sad songs?
Success replied to BillsPride12's topic in Off the Wall
I still cry every time I hear that song. It is truly devastating. -
KC's experience is such a benefit in a game like this. That team has a ton of SB experience. It's kind of like what happened w/ the Pats all those years - they had a big advantage at a certain point, just by virtue of the fact that they had been there so many times. For players going to their 1st SB, it can be overwhelming. I'm expecting a good, close game - but a KC blowout wouldn't shock me, especially if they get off to a hot start.

Off-Season Hot Take: Mid Season Struggles And The #1 Seed
Success replied to Bills!Win!'s topic in The Stadium Wall
I get what some on this thread are saying about homefield not having been so much of an advantage over the past couple of years. But, quite clearly - having the bye week would be a huge advantage. Just this past season alone - to have that week to heal from some of our injuries, as well as the NEW injuries we incurred on WC weekend. Having that week off is huge. It still bothers me that only the 1 seed gets the bye now. -
Allen, the Super Bowl "window," and the KC hurdle
Success replied to T.E.'s topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think the bolded is a fair take. What is a Super Bowl caliber roster? Well, you root for one. KC is that. They're IN the Super Bowl. And the Bills non-Super Bowl caliber roster beat KC at their house in the regular. In the playoffs, I think most would agree that it was a coin flip game. And in that game, KC's receivers, who had notably dropped quite a few passes all season, made spectacular catches - while the Bills made some fairly uncharacteristic drops on what would have been game-changing plays. It's hard to pin something like that on roster construction. And people call it the injury excuse, but it's not an excuse if it's reality. I don't think the Chiefs would have fared as well if they were missing their 2 best LB's, their 2 best CB's, and their #2 WR (as well as other assorted key players). I said before the season that the Bills had their best roster in the JA era, and I stand by that. They were as Super Bowl caliber as any team - certainly when relatively healthy. Has Veach been better than Beane? It's hard to argue the results. Veach is great. But the Bills have drafted really well over the past few years. Veach's picks seem to have more of an immediate impact, while some of the Bills picks have emerged over time. And that's only part of the equation for a GM. Considering our cap situation, Beane has done a great job of adding key contributors. His biggest miss over the past few years (imo) has been at the WR position, with both Harty & Sherfield, neither of whom panned out as hoped.
