What did Babich do differently in the second half or was McDermott starting to get involved in the playcalling?

They are totally, totally screwed. Watson sucks. He is a below average QB being paid like a god.

Yes he does wipe away the mistakes which is why he’s so great. But people are saying he “saved Brady” as in its Brady’s fault every time the play breaks down. We put up 34 points. Allen was the main engine behind it but man, its a team game and he still has open WR’s to throw to, holes to run through, jump balls won, time to throw etc….other players and coaches deserve at least a little credit. Allen just doesn’t misses less which is why he’s great. Im not either. He was the best player in the NFL in week 1 so far. I thought we played very well on offense overall besides the penalties. We executed very well otherwise with a small amount of mistakes. If our defense gets off the field in the first half, I think we put 40+ up.

Says the guy who said you’re not supposed to play well in the playoffs lol? Again, if the play breaks down not because of the design then it shouldn’t be held against the OC and that’s what you’re doing. I do appreciate Allen and I think he’s the second best player but most talented in the league. But its not enough.

Until you watch the film, you don’t know the context of it. Yes, what you explained Allen extending the play, yes, unreal ability. But if the play breaks down not because of play call or design, then the coordinator shouldn’t have it held against him. That’s what’s happening here…not you in particular just some responses in this thread.

I think this is the year Allen wins the MVP and its in going to be in a runaway. I predicted 50 total TD’s and I may up that to 60.

I watched the same game you watched. He played great and you guys just won’t accept me saying that. Lamar Jackson isn’t scoring on that run? Are you saying Baker with Jackson in space is winning that? A bunch of athletic QB’s can score inside the 10. Again, Allen was the best player on the field. He played extremely well today. Why can’t that be enough?

Was that the only possible way to score a TD? I agree, no one else can hurdle a safety but there’s more paths to score.

You misunderstood it. I didn’t say any QB can do it.

Josh had a great game but he didn’t do anything today that was spectacular than no one else can do. **I am adding this in because to be more clear. Im not saying Allen wasn’t great. He was the best player on the field and usually is. But Im sorry, he isn’t the only QB in the league that can evade a rush and make a great throw after. Or escape the pocket and make an athletic play to get in the endzone. He just does it more often…I just don’t agree with “no one else can do it”.

You think yards is more of a determining factor of performance than points??? Its been pointed out to you our offense only had the ball 3 times in the first half…why are you not believing this was the major contributing factor?

Unless the other 10 players on offense just stood still after the snap…they all contributed. It amazes me people do not think football is team game or something.

Brady had a good game as a coordinator. We put up 34 points with a redzone turnover and the offense only having the ball 3 times in the first half. We had WR open, Allen had time to throw, we had good designed runs… You know what you’re supposed to do against bad defenses? Put up 30+ points in which we did. Some people will just never give a coordinator credit.

Considering Allen only had 2 pass attempts by the 2 minute warning before half….expect all these numbers to increase going forward.

We didn’t look good last year week 1….

Couldn’t we say that AZ got extremely lucky because they got a 15 yard roughing the passer penalty when the QB wasn’t touched or Allen missing a wide open Samuel on the first drive?

I don’t think MVS judged that well. It wasn’t a great throw but not too bad.
