  1. It is hard to believe Miami and Buffalo will still be a combined 9-9 after this game. Both teams look like AFC bottom dwellers. Bills 28th in offense, Fins 32nd.
  2. Bills have also been outgained in EVERY game this year except week 1 vs the Jets. Yards aren't everything, and I do think the Bills outplayed the Broncos and Raiders despite technically being "outgained", but that further goes to show that the Bills were winning with turnovers, more than anything.
  3. I think for the most part, it is consistent with the "eye test", but the Giants at 22nd is puzzling. They certainly look like one of the worst 3 teams in the league. I do agree with this list that teams like the Chargers and Redskins are better than their record, and teams like the Bills, Dolphins, and Titans are worse than their record.
  4. We act like trying to select a QB is like winning the lottery, but since the horrible 2013 draft, teams picking QBs in the top 10-15 overall have had great success: 2017: Trubisky, Watson, Mahomes 2016: Goff, Wentz 2015: Winston, Mariota 2014: Bortles Out of this group, only Bortles is a bust (and even he is much better than EJ or Losman), and there are several legit franchise QBs. However, when you try to pick QBs in the late first/second and beyond like the Browns or Jets, then it is like winning the lottery. Dak and Carr have been a success, but you have MANY busts (Hackenberg, Paxton Lynch, Kessler, Cook, Hundley, Hogan, Petty, Geno, Matt Barkley probably Kizer)
  5. Not that I think the Bills can win 4 more games anyway, but I don't even want to see this team in the playoffs. It is probably the Bills weakest team since 2013. They would just get blown out in KC or Pitt anyway. After waiting this long for the playoff drought to end, I am willing to wait a few more years to have a legit contender break the drought.
  6. I don't think we've been blown out like this at home since 56-10 vs the 07 Patriots. Before the past two weeks, the Bills hadn't had many blowouts the last 3 or 4 years.
  7. And the Jets could only muster 3 points vs the vaunted Bucs defense. Man our defense is bad, the Jets manhandled us.
  8. Most rushing TDs in a game in NFL history is 8. Saints have 5. There is still time!!
  9. The Saints running game looks like Alabama vs Ole Miss or something. It shouldn't be this easy in the NFL!!
  10. The pick wasn't his fault, but TT has 56 yards!!! on 17 attempts. Almost any NFL backup could do better than that today.
  11. We are staring 5-7 right in the face. This team really is no different than we thought at the beginning of the year. If the refs didn't screw ATL on that fumble return, we would be looking at 4-8. Just not a lot of talent on this roster.
  12. Feels like we will need 4 turnovers to win this game. Not a true playoff team when you need 4 turnovers to win at home.
  13. It's not all about Dareus. Saints are #2 in rushing. Kamara is a very impressive rookie. Bills played weaker O-lines early in the season (Panthers, Broncos)
  14. Saints are a top 5 offense, very balanced attack, good o-line. Going to be a long day for the D. Need this 4th down stop.
  15. Nice to see Benjamin create separation. 2 awful throws by Tyrod.
  16. This is going to sound really negative, but what really would a 9-7 playoff berth accomplish? This team is not legit...they are way below average in offensive production, below average in opponent yards/game, they have huge weaknesses at o-line, receiver, and secondary. Their only redeeming quality is turnover margin, and who knows if that will continue. Yet, the AFC is very weak, so maybe they sneak in at 9-7. And then what? Get exposed in the wildcard on the road? Along with Miami last year (who had a negative point differential despite being 10-6), the Bills would be one of the worst teams to make the playoffs in recent memory. For me, I would rather break the playoff drought when we have a true playoff roster. Look at the LA Rams, who will break their playoff drought this year, for example. And that day may come soon for the Bills; I think we are headed in the right direction with the new regime.
  17. Except BarleyNY's post says "They note that while they try to eliminate their impact for these rankings, the abilities of the RB and QB do have some effect on them." This can be interpreted as: "all those coverage sacks that Tyrod takes because he holds the ball too long have an effect on the pass protection ranking". I am not saying that the o-line is good, but their true pass protection ranking is probably closer to their ranking in run blocking.
  18. I could not have been more wrong about this game. I really thought ND would win comfortably and run the ball for 300 yards. But Miami just dominated in the trenches, forced turnovers, and ND looked completely overwhelmed and unprepared. Congrats to the Miami fans and ND haters. You would think after so many embarrassments in big games under Kelly, and his predecessors, over the last 20 years, I would have known better. What a fool I am. Somehow, ND and the Bills continue to give me false hope. This game was akin to the Jets game for the Bills. No more faith in either of these teams for me this year. Bills will get exposed by the Saints tomorrow. ND will get blown out by Ohio State or somebody in a bowl game they have no business being in. Seen it all before.
  19. I really could see the Bills losing the next 4, that is why the Jets loss was so bad. The Bills have forced 17 turnovers in the first half which is second in the NFL. With the weak pass rush and thin secondary we have, I think that is very flukey. Further, the next four games are against the Saints (7th fewest giveaways), Chargers (4th fewest), Chiefs (fewest), Patriots (2nd fewest). In the end, I say the Bills beat the Colts and Dolphins at home, and find one more win (probably NO at home or @MIA) and finish 8-8.
