  1. Falcons on pace to score only 20. Since the start of last season, they have only scored fewer than 20 one!!!! time out of 22.
  2. That is a game changing drop. If he catches that ball, worst case it is 7-3 at half. Now 10-7 is a good possibility.
  3. As good as the defense has played, we have no chance if the offense can't score at least 21 or 24.
  4. Hold them to a fg. 3 points in 3 possessions against the Falcons would be great. Need the offense to step up next drive
  5. Tannehill's injury certainly hurt, but the Dolphins were total smoke and mirrors last year. They won every close game and had the easiest schedule possible. In reality they were no better than the Bills, their scoring margin was worse in fact. I was thinking 7-9 for them before the season, but they can't even score vs the Jets and Saints defenses.
  6. 503!! yards for Matt Ryan against McDermott's defense last year, followed up by an efficient 27/33 277 yards in the 2nd game. Ouch!! This is going to be a huge test. If the Bills can hold them in the mid-20s that would be a great defensive performance. Offense needs to score at least 28-30 to have a shot.
  7. Here is a stat: 2-7. That is the record of Bills QBs (Fitz, Orton, Tyrod) who have thrown for 300 yards since 2011. In all of these games, the Bills found themselves in a big hole, and had to abandon the run. The two wins were New England 2011 and Detroit 2014, arguably the two best comeback wins in this time frame. The more important stat is yard per attempt. If a QB throws for 355 yards, but it takes 57 attempts (Orton vs DEN in 2014), is that really a good performance? I am still not sold on Tyrod for the future, but I would much rather have 213 yards on 26 attempts. That equates to a Y/A of 8.19, which is higher than all but 4 of Tyrod's games last year (NYJ, JAX, PIT, MIA). But considering how TT depended on huge chunk plays against NYJ and PIT which inflated his stats (not to mention the INTs in those games), as well as how talented the Broncos secondary is, this was definitely one of Tyrod's best games.
  8. This is Hoyer's 9th 300 yard game since his 2014 season with the Browns. We are talking about a very mediocre QB who didn't even have the starting job locked down in Houston or Chicago (or even Cleveland). During the same time frame, the Bills have 4 300 yard passing games (Orton x3, Tyrod vs MIA last year). I understand a lot of 300 yard games are done in garbage time, but still.....definitely need to draft a QB next year.
  9. It is hard to believe the Rams were actually shutout by the 49ers only 1 year ago. It goes to show what replacing Jeff Fisher for an offensive coach can do (I know the Rams acquired some new weapons, but Goff looks so much better). Similar to how the Bills defense looks much improved from Rex's unit after hiring a real defensive coach.
  10. As good as the Panthers front 7 is, their secondary is quite weak. Matt Ryan had 500 yards against them last year, and in the 2nd game was 27/33 for 277. However, he is a franchise QB and Tyrod is not even close. We knew it would be tough sledding running the ball today; Tyrod needed to step up but didn't. I recognize the weapons are not great on this team, but there is no excuse for 3 points and 15 yards passing at half time.
  11. Longest drive today was 42 yards, at the end. Longest pass 15 yards. It is obvious this offense is terrible when our rushing attack is shutdown. TT is not good enough
  12. Zay ran more outside towards the corner, Tyrod left ball well inside. Zay couldn't quite adjust
  13. Nice stop, Lawson. D has played their best, secondary is weak but has played admirably.
  14. "Windless Day"... wind then picks up right as we snap the ball
