We should be drafting oline in round 1. Preferably after a trade down acquiring 3 first round picks.

The more important thing is how he grows from this game. The Titans are going to throw a lot of blitzes at him this week. Hopefully we see improvement.

I agree. Whaley only drafted from the SEC and ACC though.

Hopefully Allen can get past that issue. He is a smart kid and presnap reads should be the easiest part of QB play if you put in the time.

Him and Tre should be a great duo for a long time in this league. I’m really excited about this rookie class. Edmunds has improved a ton every game, Phillips has been solid, and Johnson has played fast and physical. We just need the most important piece to work out and this could be one of the best drafts in franchise history.

It would surprise me if Whaley wanted to draft Mahomes. He only drafted from top tier programs. That was his downfall as an NFL GM.

This year was also suppose to be the best QB draft since 04. Hopefully we have a better outcome this time. Thats true too, defenses are still figuring out a game plan against him.

We need Allen to become good. Hopefully he takes a step forward against a similar defense this week.

Andy Reid creates a ton of offense with play design and helps his QB get in rhythm.

We didn’t have a GM. You need to have your organization aligned before taking a QB. Also we don’t have Andy Reid. Mahommes was a raw QB prospect too.

We have a terrible oline, they need to redo their analysis if that is the answer they found.

I don’t think any team is signing KB this offseason

Well that is good news, I don’t usually follow the college prospects until after the season.

They basically conceded the game with that punt. I would rather them have gone for it, if they got it the offense may have gotten some life. If they missed it, I would still be fine with it because at least they played to win.

He needs to play as well as Wentz did his rookie season. That is what I need to see.

His defense also struggles against the pass if you are willing to take short throws that beat the blitz. Allen didn’t recognize the blitzes and held the ball too long which is a disaster against that type of D. We definitely should have ran the ball more. My biggest issue with McD is he always plays not to lose. You will never be championship coach with that mindset.

Exactly, I don’t mind rookie growing pains. But you have to improve on the mistakes you make the previous week. Allen is having a lot of trouble diagnosing blitzes, throwing timing short passes, and continues to try rolling out and backwards to extend plays. If he does not improve in those areas he will not be a good NFL QB. He will be playing a similar zone blitzing 3-4 next week. Hopefully, he shows significant progress from this game. If he is not willing to take what the defense gives him it will be another long day.

Ya it was very disappointing, there was nothing to build on from this game. I hope he plays better next week. I don’t know, if there is anything this fan base knows it is bad QB play. He has this season to prove he is the guy, otherwise we need to draft another in round 1 (I know it won’t happen)

Im definitely concerned after this week. Hopefully he will correct the mistakes and play better against a similar defense next week. We need to see major growth by the end of the season. You pretty much know what you have in a QB after 16 games imo. Most importantly the have a good offensive minded head coach. McDermott needs to be accountable for that. They owe it to Kyle Williams to put a better product on the field. They convinced him to come back to play this year. If we get the number 1 pick we should take a QB, but we won’t which means there is a good chance we pass on a franchise guy.

I am just frustrated that I didn’t see any flashes of good QB play from Allen today.

They were pretty bad. I think they had 8 three and outs from their D and good field position to help them out.

He looked way worse than Mills

I want him to start the whole year but if he has more games like this I would draft another first round QB next year. I’m tired of bad QB play. Hopefully, he proves he is the franchise this year.
