The Edmunds Report - Week 4, Texans v. Bills, 10/03/21
Rc2catch replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
That was a thorough defensive whooping today. I honest to god felt so bad for that Mills kid. They should of benched him, for anyone. They would of been better off running the wildcat the whole second half to save the poor kid. I was happy to see Edmunds have a great game and build some confidence for next week. Kelce had his worst game of the season today so he’ll be fired up to get back on track next week -
Oh wow I didn’t even know this game was on tonight

Edmunds is still a bust. A real playmaker takes that back to the house. He has no vision -

They played him at LT and both guard spots I believe. All with bad results if I remember correctly. -

I have fantasy interest with Mixon. I expect cincy to put on a show they’re playing decent ball -
Richard Sherman signs with Tampa

I don’t like Sherman, always hated how he ran his mouth on and off the field. But I read a story about how his last year has gone and did feel for the guy and his family. Suicide and depression is no joke and really scary for those closest. It was apparently much more than just one drunken night. -
We Are Going To Be Super Bowl Champions
Rc2catch replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We’re built to be a contender for years to come. But we haven’t slayed the beasts yet. It’s a long season and it’s important not to get too high (especially if your name is Josh Gordon) and important not to get too low (guess that could be for Sherman) Lets worry about the Houston game and enjoy the season before punching the super bowl ticket in September -
Spencer Brown - will he start on the OL? (Update - Yes)
Rc2catch replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Williams should not be moved to guard imo. That did not go well in Carolina. He was a fail at LT and guard there. But we know he plays at a high level at RT. I know it’s just a theoretical thread but I’d hate the idea. I would almost rather see Dawkins trying to kick into guard than Williams -

Does Anyone watch ESPN morning shows anymore?
Rc2catch replied to sistersarah's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I really used to like PTI, Mike and Mike I thought was quality, I even enjoyed getup for a little bit. First take wasn’t terrible until the agenda became clear and the shtick got old and SAS head hot too big. It’s been a couple years I think since I’ve watched anything on there but live football. -
The Edmunds Report - Week 3, WTF's v. Bills, 09/26/21
Rc2catch replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I had this chat with my dad. Why Edmunds doesn’t seem to fight harder to get through the line on blitzes. Best I could come up with is maybe it’s coached to stay around the line of scrimmage. So if the back or quarterback have the ball and get through Edmunds can pull away easily and chase them down. Kinda the last line of the middle level of defense. He does retreat from being absorbed opposed to pushing through and tries to catch up to possible plays. But I’m certainly no expert and I don’t rewatch a lot of the games. The Miami thing was something I noticed live so I went back to see. -
I think the difference was we expected star to eat up blocks and free some guys up (which he does) but we are also seeing he can make a play or two when he’s one on one. We’ve been sending some blitzes and he’s beating his 1 on 1 matchups and that’s a great sign. I can’t recall many times in previous years where he’s in the backfield often, he seems to be there this year so far.

The Edmunds Report - Week 3, WTF's v. Bills, 09/26/21
Rc2catch replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
First I haven’t seen it acknowledged yet. Kudos to WTF throughout the whole breakdown. WFT just doesn’t work right in my brain for them 😂😂 I value things like this, because I think it’s good to point out under the radar things. That said, Edmunds is not elite and splashy and that’s basically what I see most of the people disliking him say. First year all we heard was Leighton Vander Esch was soooo amazing and Edmunds sucks. First year. LVE is hurt non stop and still a solid player but he’s certainly not the elite talent everyone thought he was year one. Edmunds is just never going to make some people happy. We hear the contract talk now but the hate was there long before a possible contract extension. People’s minds are made up and no analysis is going to change that. People want an attacking player similar to what Milano or Devin white are and that’s just not gonna be Edmunds. Not here. Rather it’s coaching or him he just doesn’t play aggressively. Maybe someone smarter can add in to this or refute it but I rewatched some of the Miami game and his “pass rushes” and he doesn’t really even try a move or move his hands. It’s like he’s coached to run straight in and be absorbed by a lineman. That happens on run plays as well. For me and my opinion anyways I feel like this is coached into him to a certain extent. He absorbs a linemen and someone else frees up to make a play. We are onto contract chatter for him now and I’m all for extending him if they choose to. I trust Mcdermott and Beane to make these choices. I have a hard time finding ways to agree with people hating our own players. Not everyone but some of these posters literally hate Edmunds guts. If you got a Bills uniform on and don’t hit women or rape or hurt kids you got my support. -
Ummmmm

If it was me I’d just pull Hurts and put Flacco in. That kid looks completely checked out and uninterested
-
Really weird. I can understand playing it safe but that’s extreme.
-
I was just thinking that’s one of the most gutless things I’ve ever seen. Even if you take the time out you might get a safe big run or something. To run out over a minute of clock with a 13 point lead is really weird.

I watched him a bit last year, he didn’t look this terrible
