Can we just give cook the ***** ball?
Straight Hucklebuck replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m sorry but if McDermott is still holding onto that he needs a reality check. Cook is fast, he flies into the second level, he runs hard too. Stop playing games and sending messages, Cook is a playmaker. I texted my brother at 2:19 PM, Cook has 5 carries for 41 yards, think he should see the ball more ?!? -
Yeah, like I said, Banged up Bills (although wrong a lot) did bring up that there are three stages. AC sprain was best case scenario. We know it’s worse than that. Dislocation was next, but he can’t raise his arm. So I think we’re going to find out it’s his labrum after the season. I hope Sean and Frazier just do the smart thing and get Bryant in there. They can’t keep putting Phillips on the field with one arm, it’s obviously hurting the team. Teams are going to identify that quickly.

Thoughts on the pass defense?

I watched him and I don’t remember many receptions. There was one play that Meyers ran right past him, but Mac rolled to his left. -

I agree with the ineffectiveness of the blitz. They’re obvious and our rushers get swallowed by the line. -
IR Phillips and bring in Brandon Bryant from the practice squad. You can’t place all that additional load on Settle, Jones and Oliver. You need a DT that can at least be healthy.

Yes I was frustrated at this during the game. -
He must have torn his labrum. Early on there was hope it was just dislocated, but he went out in Chicago as soon as he made a routine tackle. He won’t be back next year unless its vet minimum. And I like him as a player.

https://www.nbcsports.com/boston/patriots/nfl-playoffs-2023-final-seeding-bracket-matchups-wild-card-weekend?amp These guys still talking about culture. It’s not a culture or Patriot way problem, the Patriots have no skill players that make plays and a check down QB. They’re stuck in 2001 trying to compete in 2023 football. -
Josh Allen finishes the 2022 regular season with...

Should have had 36 TDs passing eclipsing “the Icon” Joe Burrow. -
Because the Bills wait until 0’s are on the clock every play, we don’t run slants. I don’t know what Allen was looking at there. The media and the coaches have been on him for weeks about red zone interceptions, I don’t know if he’s just caught in this mental space of don’t throw interceptions and be aggressive.

Bills signJared Mayden release Rhodes
Straight Hucklebuck replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
From a football standpoint on Monday, you could see two things: The offense moved the ball against the Bengals D, especially with Allen and Cook in the run game. But Tre was noticeably beat by Chase, Boyd and Higgins. The Bills coaches don’t seem convinced that Tre could be helped by splitting his reps (and Jackson’s for that matter), with Elam and Benford. In Week 18 I could see Elam and Benford playing more just to get through the game healthy, but given this Coaching Staff’s history, I expect Tre, Jackson, and Johnson in the Playoffs. No idea how Mayden helps, I haven’t seen Marlowe since the trade, we’ve seen Jaquan back there, so it’s Poyer and Cam Lewis I guess. -
Mahomes vs Allen or Mahomes vs Burrow
Straight Hucklebuck replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Do we really think Burrow is just going to go undefeated against Mahomes? Or that Herbert will never break through? Or Joe-Cool will never lose a game again? These are all media driven kind of narratives. -

We knew he had to be somewhat close because he was in the practice pictures from yesterday. -

Yeah like I said, it’s been quiet since he’s got here, so I don’t know why he’d been in line to start more. -

I wonder what this secondary will look like, maybe not for this game specifically, but going forward. Tre White watch What happens at Safety Poyer’s knee Elam still on the bench When is Benford coming back and does he have a spot Taron in concussion protocol -

It’s been quiet on Marlowe after the trade. I don’t remember him on a single rep. He’s inactive and I don’t remember hearing anything about him. He did the “it’s great to be back” press conference, but nothing since. -
And LOW mileage heading into the Playoffs

Well you should be happy when he is torched in the Playoffs.
