  1. We didn’t actually fare that bad against the Yankees this year. Maybe they treated these games as their World Series so to speak. Back in 2013 when we swept them one arrogant Yankee fan told me this is all you guys get to really celebrate so enjoy it. That always stuck with me!
  2. Never owned a pet Never saw a Star Wars movie Never went to a high school dance or party never mind prom Never used a fire extinguisher Never used an outdoor grill
  3. Never played a video game at home, only in arcades
  4. I’ve never smoked a cigarette. Never appealed to me to even try.
  5. I stumbled across the music video Virtual Insanity all these years later. The song was done in 1997 but really seemed to predict the smart phone age we live in. Of course if that was their intention. Any thing else?
  6. https://247sports.com/college/washington-state/Article/Former-Cougar-standout-quarterback-Jeff-Tuel-goes-from-the-WSU-and-NFL-gridirons-to-the-farms--108789175/ Sounds like he’s a farmer these days
  7. Nice to see Reyes with the winning HR today. I remember 15 years ago in 2003 watching a Sunday afternoon game on Channel 11 where he got a winning HR in his first few months with the club. I know guys reminiscing a bit. That year the team was lousy as well and he was the hope of the future. I guess it’s just a full circle sort of thing of watching him over the years is what I’m getting at. Does anyone else remember a broadcaster Sean Kimmerling from 2003? He was a young guy but sadly died from testicular cancer that year. I think there’s a foundation named after him.
  8. I wonder if Orton would reconsider retirement ? Hey the last thing we need is another 2013 situation where you go with the undrafted for lack of being prepared at the position.
  9. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/mets-reportedly-leaning-toward-hiring-old-school-gm-worried-about-being-too-analytics-driven/ Just came across that article. I thought the last sentence was pretty funny and telling. What they say and what they will do are often two different things. I would like to see a less Moneyball type GM. At this point though I don't even know how much it will help. Doesn't seem like Mickey's going anywhere
  10. Yeah especially The Power of Doug which I liked a lot at the time
  11. I await the Jambrones song if they’ll be one
  12. There are days that seems nice! Especially today when the whole phone system here just went out
  13. A similar article was in the paper yesterday about Rutgers payouts. https://www.nj.com/education/2018/08/rutgers_golden_parachutes_top_11_million_see_the_c.html Must be nice! I swear in my next lifetime I want to be a state worker
  14. I’ll see BJH and come back with football to the head Tyler Thigpen https://www.kansascity.com/sports/nfl/article4143791.html
  15. I didn’t actually “know” these two but were mostly all Bills fans here
  16. I came across a lot of people I'd just say were naïve. There was these two kids in my senior Math class Rob and Jeff who used to just jab at each other constantly albeit somewhat good willed. Standard mama jokes like your mom is just like Ellis Island all the immigrants go through her, etc... The teacher is totally blind to this all the time. One time instead of writing sec x on the board she writes sex x. At the same time she turns around and looks at the board Rob unloads a textbook across the room which smacks Jeff right in the face. Everyone's hysterical laughing but this teacher was dumb enough to think they were laughing at her error. One of my friends wives can be a real PITA. She'll make you take off your shoes so the carpet won't bring in dirt among many other anal-retentive characteristics. So one day she's telling me she's upset the girl who reported to her left for another job. What she failed to recognize was that I'm sure her engaging personality played a part
  17. Sorry Lilly white girls just aren’t attractive
  18. McCarron. With that being said EJ, Tuel, and Peterman all impressed on their first preseason game. I take it all with a grain of salt
  19. I’m not even sure the DMV is ran by the state anymore. Hence the better service over the years. That place used to be a nightmare!
  20. In NJ from my experiences these jobs are a racket. High salaries, good benefits, pensions after retirement, low stress, pretty much have to kill someone to get fired, etc... Just the other day I saw three workers from the town changing a lightbulb at the library. Talk about a waste of tax payer money!! Not gonna make this into Martin Luther’s 95 Theses here. Are these jobs kind of a joke where you live?
  21. When he was the Browns, he had hand injuries more than once which is kinda bizarre given he makes his living using them. Not really my first choice but maybe “The Process” gets through to him so to speak
  22. Some of it could make me laugh. Stuff like this though makes Bills fans look like a bunch of bafoons
  23. If Ray actually did do the crime I bet there’s a good chance in his head he doesn’t even believe it. I mean if your protected that much...
  24. It’s Monday morning, I need some motivation. These two are good. The Rocky one I watch every couple of years
