Sort of off topic but the Subway Series is coming up. I remember in the late 90's how intense the games were. Though it got the point where even sweeping the Yankees bank in 2013 was nice but the rest of that year poor performance sort of took away from it. I mean maybe they could do some good things here the next few days but I'm not hopeful. The win-win look at this: We win the series- it's always nice We get our as*es kicked- Well hopefully that will convince someone somewhere you can't keep going on like this. That was just depressing last night. One of if not the worst loss this year. DeGrom pitches his heart out only to get no run support. Too it's credit the bullpen wasn't bad for most of the night. WTF as well with the number of Cubs fans there when they took the lead? That was equally depressing. Last night is what pushed me over the edge to say to start a 2-3 year rebuild now. Build up on some minor league talent

Grew up in a house with Conrail train tracks behind it. The train used to come by 1 or 2 times a day. Every now and then it would pass in the wee hours. I'm a heavy sleeper so it never bothered me. The only fear being the train would de-rail

Oh boy. Its nights like this (assuming they blow it) where I'm grateful for the broadcast of Gary, Keith, and Ronnie. They make it as interesting/entertaining as possible. Even if the rest of the season does turn out to be an epic fail, those guys can still make it worth watching to some extent.

For example now I'm thinking the team overachieved a little last year. In my opinion the schedules a little harder this year. 8 wins wouldn't be bad if Allen gets some starts under his belt and is set for next year. In reality when the season starts I know I won't have this mind set. Bad losses like last year to the Chargers and Saints will be painful. Guaranteed "the process" won't be on my mind then.

I defintely have relatives I prefer not to associate with. At the same time I don't wish them bad will or totally cut them out.
