  1. Go Settle, Jones, Oliver, Phillips. Turn Henry into one big bruise.
  2. Always seemed like a big, uncontrollable child. The Captain had no rudder.
  3. I was asking what he specifically would do with someone as gifted and on top of his game as Josh. I’ve received a variety of responses, most of which were helpful. Yours? not so much.
  4. Kind of a butler but gets to wear sweatpants. Oh man I want that job. I can iron.
  5. Jeesh, I dunno. I never had the feeling that Beane was that much of a Good Samaritan. Gotta pull that oar.
  6. Happy birthday Kair!
  7. Been here for a few years, but this is my 1st thread. I don’t see a way in the gui to git er done.
  8. One possibility is that Shula will play a similar role to Chris Palmer (6 yrs ago). Be there for ‘anything’ + get a jump on the game plan prep ahead of Dorsey/Frazier.
  9. I thought it was a declarative sentence, but in matters of grammar, I’ll always defer.
  10. Yeah, I kind of felt like this was a ‘this could be cool, let’s see what happens’ hire. There’s probably an interview by somebody important that gives some detail but I’ve found nada.
  11. This is a question, not an answer. I understand he’s very young & has had mixed success in college/pros. I am wondering what you more learned football scholars envision as to his importance & his role, particularly with Josh. I am pretty fuzzy on the issue. Wondering if he’s the equivalent of teats on a boar hawg. Thanks
  12. There’s a minimum age limit on the bottom end. Time for a minimum cognitive score to be added to Article 2.
  13. Wonder why they pushed him into that interview. Give him a little more time to settle.
  14. Sure would be nice to be able to shut down teams like Tenn, Indy, Patriots, not to mention KC.
  15. How many DTs ranked in the Top 10 for both Pass Rush Win Rate AND Run Stop Win Rate? one Ed Oliver.
  16. Some of u likely know about this list (win rates). I just stumbled on it and was surprised to see him listed with the 5th best Run Stop Win Rate for DE/OLB. Bunch of Bills on the list, with Ed Oliver being top 10 in rush and run stop. Anyway, Rousseau gets to 10 sacks, he’ll be one heckuva player … among the best in the league. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32176833/2021-nfl-pass-rushing-run-stopping-blocking-leaderboard-win-rate-rankings#pbwrplayers
  17. It’s like he has an invisibility cloak. You lose sight of him and he suddenly emerges from the Mass of OL and is on top of the QB/ball carrier. No roundabout paths. Quick and sure.
  18. Dorsey looks to be putting a bit more emphasis on the short game. Last year Allen’s Time to throw was 2.9, on the high side of QBs. Dorsey may be able to estimate that the changes will bring that # down to 2.65 (or whatever). That might be enough wiggle room for Kromer to deal with Saffold/Quesenberry’s deficiencies. Just balling spit.
  19. What was Lorenzo’s role in our D a few years ago? Could it be similar for Bernard?
  20. Jairus Byrd was a CB coming out of school with a body build/write up description that was very similar to Benford. Converted to Safety and got 9 ints and 11 pbu in his rookie season. A couple of those ints into were flukey, but nevertheless, pretty impressive. Byrd ran a 4.68. Ed Reed ran a 4.57. In 37 games Benford had 46 pbu along with 14 ints. I’m not sure where they’ll put him but I think he’s going to make some big plays. Definitely not a throwaway pick.
  21. The only head scratcher for me was Tenuda, but who knows, he may end up being a solid addition. I wasn’t wedded to any particular prospect which I think it makes it easier to be more positive. B+
  22. Our interior DL should be quite a bit stouter this year & help keep our LBs much cleaner than last year. They shouldn’t get clogged up as often. A guy like Bernard that smells the ball and gets to it quick may be the perfect pick.
  23. Great stuff. Thanks for posting.
