It doesn't matter the level it is imo, as you said they're fighting for their playoff lives so that fumble cannot happen especially on the 1st play of the game. I thought the sitting of him was the correct call and it got Cooks head on straight. And the mention of Allen being benched, that wasn't happening but if you noticed Dorsey didn't bench him but ddidn't give him much of a chance to screw it up either, they left it up to the ground game for once which again I thought was the right move by Dorsey.
We're just going to have to agree to disagree here, you don't reward bad play imo with more playing time, fighting for playoff lives or not it sends a message to be better but I'm old school, I get where you're coming from though.
We lost half of our defense to injury, if we dont blitz we'd have had the game like the Bengals in the playoff loss. We can't rush 4 and hope our 4th best CB can cover Chase and our 5th best corner cover Tee Higgins, come on man.
I didn't hate the call, I hated the outcome of course but I didn't have a problem with it but thats why I enjoy this board, I may not agree with every poster on here but it's good to see the different takes and mindsets.
That was as good a time as any, if we would have played soft zone and the same happened you'd just flip the script and say "why didn't we blitz on that play". I thought it was thee right call, you live by the blitz and sometimes you die by the blitz. Taron Johnson was also equally clueless defending on that play.
I just mentioned this in another thread..... I bet all of you bitchign about the Blitzing are the same ones who last year said we don't blitz enough. You hated soft zone, now you hate blitzing.
Marquez Valdez Scantling, Allen Lazard, Kadarius Toney, all of the NYG WR, whoever the #2 is in GB? Treylon Burks, Darnell Mooney, Van jefferson just a few off the top of my head.
