  1. I agree, feeling good about 7-3 and an extra week to get over that disastrophy of an ending. If you are gonna be one of the best teams you can't let one game derail your ambition. I also agree that it is embarrassing when they play not to lose instead of playing to win.
  2. I know what you mean about the 2nd half prevent offense. Should have been going for the kill and burying their hope, instead they wasted possessions and plays running straight into stacked boxes. They knew how McD would play it with a 2 score lead and dared us to throw vertical, Bills instead played into their hands. The unbelievably soft D after what should have been the winning TD was absolutely pathetic. That last play was embarrassing, nobody harassed, pushed with the body, I don't think anyone even hit him. You cannot let him catch that, it's not that hard. I'd move him. This team seems to be lacking aggression.
  3. I don't disagree. Losing sucks but it's good to have a sense of humor. The Bills are 7-3 going into the bye. ***** like tonight shouldn't happen because you never let him catch that ball no matter what. But it happened, I'm glad they have an extra week to get over it. The Bills are pretty good and moving in the right direction I think. Way too soft at the end tonight and they should have continued pushing the ball downfield when they were up 2 scores and cruising. They ran into stacked boxes instead, should have buried them.
  4. I'm not advocating for Allen being there myself. Fact is, they were standing in a group waiting for a hail Mary, there was no turning of hips and you don't think that Josh Allen at 6'5" 240 could not establish position against 6'1" 210 Hopkins? Instead of Allen how about Gabe Davis at 6'2"? Do you think he knows how to track a ball? Bottom line is he should not have been allowed to catch that ball. Take the penalty if you have to, they are barely ever called in those situations. Nobody even pushed him.
  5. When your just standing in the end zone waiting for a hail Mary do you want tall guys or quick little guys?
  6. He is bigger.☺ I bet he would've stopped that catch at any cost which is what should've happened. Allen has 4 inches on Hopkins.
  7. It was not a laser beam and Hopkins was surrounded by Bills as he waited for the ball, they could have fought him for position and made sure he didn't catch it, even if you take a penalty. They didn't and the Bills lost, bottom line.
  8. It should not have caught anyone off guard and a tall receiver should have been in the end zone. If you're going to play a ridiculously soft prevent D at least do it right. Why were they caught off guard? What else did they have left but two desperation shots at the end zone?
  9. In any case you don't allow them to catch the game winning td in the final seconds. I would have pushed him out of there when I saw the ball coming to him and probably got away with it. Penalty or not that would be the right move. Allowing a catch was not an option.
  10. Not me, he should have been moved off his spot. There should have been contact and conflict to establish position. You would have to pull someone down or extend your arms pushing them to get a penalty in that situation.
  11. In that situation you push and shove for position and you prevent that catch at any and all costs. A penalty there would have given them just one more play and how often do you see penalties on a hail Mary scrum. Bills were soft and didn't fight Hopkins nearly enough. Like I said you prevent that catch at any cost.
  12. Amazing throw and catch by Allen and Diggs, shame that wasn't the ending.
  13. 75 yards in 32 seconds, gotta love the prevent defense.
  14. The Bills are the talk of the NFL and you can be sure to see that replay another hundred times. Reminds me of my friend from PC Utah who was on the Phi Slamma Jama U of H team and was Drexler's college roommate. Every year we would watch the NCAA tourney together and they would always show the replay of him looking on incredulously from the bench as Lorenzo Charles steals the 83 championship game in the final second. Man, he just hated seeing that over and over. At least this wasn't the Super Bowl.
  15. No one moved him off his spot or boxed out. Those plays are usually wild scrums and I can't remember if I've ever seen a penalty on one. The Bills didn't even touch him hardly. That was weak, he should have been stopped by any means. Also, why do teams give the QB so much time on Hail Mary's when that's exactly what they need? The prevent defense allowing them up the field in no time with no resistance whatsoever, setting them up for that play. Where were the tall guys in the end zone? A bunch of little dbs and Hopkins. Put a couple tall receivers back there. That was so ***** weak. Sickening. Embarrassing. On the brighter side they are 7-3 and have a bye week to forget about that tragic ending. So predictable that the Bills get up by 14 and then start running into stacked boxes and stop scoring. Finish the ***** job next time.
  16. why waste the timeout there? take the delay of game if you're punting.
  17. AZ is my survivor pool pick tomorrow. I'm feeling pretty good about it.
  18. A drop from 92% confident to 89% is a crisis in confidence? What a ridiculous excuse for a story.
  19. Courage and Will are what carry you when your body is about spent, I never played for Lombardi. You? p.s. I should have known it was a Lombardi quote. Mental fatigue, but my courage still strong.☺
  20. Fatigue makes us less effective, not cowards. I played multiple sports for many years and fatigue never affected my courage.
  21. I don't think anyone will be spying him all game, but I would love to see Edmunds make a play and get a big hit on him. He is the same speed but 50lbs heavier. If he is gonna step up and make a big play this is the time, turnovers and stops.
  22. Morse is a good pass blocking center but an average run blocker. That's who he has been.
  23. This is just my opinion but getting sacks is a combination of pressure, coverage and collapsing the pocket so the QB can't just step up to avoid the outside pressure. The Bills have gotten good pressure on the outside, Hughes especially, but with the lack of pressure up the middle and the soft off coverage the QB is able to get rid of the ball or step up to avoid the sack.
  24. I can see a resemblance.
