  1. I think the writer viewed it as one more reason to show a picture and video of Josh’s girlfriend. Fine by me. 😀🙃😁
  2. To me the throw that was maybe the most impressive all year and was the one to Diggs where Allen was running for his life to his left and while still running was able to turn his body and throw a pass that went 30 yards (released at the 22 and caught in the back of the EZ) that was an absolute dime. Incredible pass for what shows up on the stat sheet as like a 10 yard TD pass.
  3. https://www.buffalorumblings.com/platform/amp/2021/6/10/22525070/crumbling-their-cookies-why-arm-strength-matters-analysis-josh-allen In 2020, Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen’s passes traveled an average of 21.4 true air yards. This was most in the league, per ESPN. “True air yards” represents the actual distance the pass traveled accounting for horizontal distance, as opposed to simply “air yards,” which measures distance traveled perpendicular to the line of scrimmage.
  4. Is the 2 week thing new? I thought it was always 2 weeks after the last preseason game.
  5. I don't think @Rochesterfan's post was remotely an indictment of Mahomes as a player... more as a person and (maybe??) as a leader, and I think this is perfectly reasonable. Honestly some of you are nuts. The Chiefs have been the vastly more talented team offensively for the last 3 seasons and the Bills finally appear to have caught up talent-wise to even have this conversation. Josh Allen carried this team completely on his shoulders his rookie year, got at least a little help his 2nd year and more his 3rd year. But he's the fulcrum for this team. He has more rushing Touchdowns since being drafted than fellow 2018 draftees Nick Chubb and Lamar Jackson--and he has 67 passing TDs to Jackson's 68. Just think about Josh Allen with a competent offense from the beginning...
  6. To me with PFF's historic dislike of Allen, this is a backhanded compliment. I am NOT saying Daboll isn't an awesome play caller, but I actually think too much attention has been paid to Allen growing as a QB and not enough attention has been paid to Daboll growing as a play caller.
  7. I think he really got screwed by being a rookie during the Pandemic and not being around trainers. He did exactly what they asked... he just worked too hard to do it. When I saw him for the 1st time on the field last year I had no clue who he was. It's more than a distant possibility that he becomes a real force on the DL this year now that he's had a full offseason with trainers and had the opportunity to discover the speed rusher inside him.
  8. Isn't this just part of the larger conversation here?
  9. https://theathletic.com/2637907/2021/06/09/it-opened-up-a-whole-new-world-how-a-j-epenesa-is-preparing-for-year-2-with-the-bills?source=user-shared-article Epenesa, the Bills’ second-year defensive end and 2020 second-round pick, spent the majority of his offseason at the team’s facility in Orchard Park. He took some brief trips back home Illinois to spend time with family but opted to do his training at the team’s facility. After dropping too much weight prior to his rookie season and struggling to put it back on, Epenesa wanted to train under the guidance of Buffalo’s strength staff. And while the Bills haven’t put on pads yet, Dawkins has noticed the results. ... “Football is such interesting sport where the weight room matters so much more than other professional sports, in my opinion,” Phillips said. “So, if you’re 10% stronger, it doesn’t mean you’re going to be a 10% better football player, but there is a give and take. To see guys in the offseason, like AJ and some of these other rookies going from year one to year two or year two to year three really take advantage of the offseason and really take advantage of still being young.” Epenesa now must face that challenge again. Coaches have praised Epenesa for the work he’s put in to get himself just above 250 pounds, but he still has to get closer to 260 pounds to reach what the coaching staff considers his ideal playing weight. Then he has to maintain it. ... “I think it opened up a whole new world for me, because I was mainly known as a power rusher,” Epenesa said. “And a lot of my speed moves weren’t as effective. And then now that I’ve cut some weight, and that I’ve gotten a little quicker, I’ve been able to change my game a little bit and kind of develop and adapt to being a little more of a speed slash power rusher rather than being so one sided.” ... “I honestly think this is a fresh start for A.J.,” Dawkins said. “He’s a different A.J. just with a stronger mind. As far as his presence on the football field, drastically different. And that’s just from what he’s been doing this offseason. So I have no idea. But I do think that it’s going to be great just because of the approach he’s taking already. He’s just doing it. He has his best foot forward already, which puts him in a great margin of success because he did what he’s supposed to do. And it should help him. And it will help him.”
  10. https://www.si.com/nfl/packers/news/murphy-rodgers-saga-dividing-fan-base "The situation we face with Aaron Rodgers has divided our fan base. The emails and letters that I've received reflect this fact. As I wrote here last month, we remain committed to resolving things with Aaron and want him to be our quarterback in 2021 and beyond. We are working to resolve the situation and realize that the less both sides say publicly, the better."
  11. The whole show was fantastic. Brought me back to my True Detective days... season 1 of which might be the best "standalone show" I've ever seen.
  12. Means nothing because it's practice... but Singletary sure does separate himself from the pack in that RB drill.
  13. I will happily take a look at all the plays you direct my attention to. It's pretty easy... just say time and quarter and I can easily find the play... unless of course you're making stuff up and talking out your butt...
  14. Well... this I agree with. This is also very, very different from what @NewEra stated.
  15. Ya know... this might be an argument if there weren't so many other "more" reasonable posters making the same arguments I am. But they are, so your ad hominem attack fails and makes it pretty clear you're desperate at this point... that's just too bad... That's fine. I don’t believe you.
  16. We didn't actually land on the Moon. I don't have time to prove it. You don't believe me? That's on you.
  17. This thread is a question of which QB you want moving forward, not which QB you would have wanted in their first 3 years. For that reason, it's important to consider the very different circumstances of each player... because the whole premise is the idea of giving each guy the other guy's circumstances moving forward. If only Duke Williams came down with that dime of a TD pass from Allen at the end of the 1st half.
  18. Now you're being disingenuous. You made the initial accusation, not me. Most people watching that game saw Allen running for his life as an entirely and pretty seriously injured WR corps struggled to get open against a physical secondary. So, you made the claim... where are all these plays?
  19. Who's arguing that Allen is better? Some of us are arguing Allen will be better, but I haven't seen a single person say that at this moment Allen is better.
  20. He did, but having Diggs in 2019 wouldn't have hurt. And I refer us back to Alex Smith's interview about Andy Reid. If Josh is in KC and gets that redshirt year like Mahomes maybe his mechanics are fixed by the time he starts a full season (2nd year in the NFL) as opposed to his 3rd year in the NFL.
  21. I have Gamepass and All-22 access... can you please direct our attention to the myriad of plays with guys running open and Josh missing them?
  22. I've heard Greg Cossell in more than one interview call Josh Allen the most talented QB in the NFL, 2021 draft picks like Lawrence included. One of those was on The Herd and I think another was on One Bills Lite with Chris Brown and Steve Tasker.
  23. To build off this... by year 3 on their respective teams one won a league MVP and a Super Bowl and the other came in 2nd in league MVP voting and made it to a conference championship game. Even in a vacuum--without considering the respective circumstances I keep coming back to--those 2 QBs aren't far apart.
