  1. Really? Outside of that first game against the Jets, Allen has been pretty consistent, actually. If you really want to play the "let's exclude these games because..." game (which is silly... those 3 games you mentioned are 1/3rd of the season), then let's throw in the Jets game to exclude. In the 5 games since the Miami game, Josh has averaged 300 yards per game, had a 71.7% completion %, 13 TDs and 6 turnovers. A lot of Mahomes's stats are from beatdowns against the Chargers and Bears. Those games aren't remotely the same as the rest of his season. And so it all goes back to #QBwinz. Buffalo needs to start winning and win against good teams in the national spotlight. Yesterday was really Allen's first chance to do that. He and the team failed. Still has more chances, but I don't have faith with our current OC.
  2. I don't know... but by the very definition of it, Josh Allen is the MVP of this team, that's for sure. As for everything else... Josh ain't winning the MVP race at this point, but I don't really think it's on him. As long as Dorsey is our OC, this team will be too inconsistent offensively. Allen is still having a really good season, overall, though. 4th in passing yards 2nd in Completion % 1st in TDs etc.
  3. What do you mean by done? Right now we're 1 game out of 1st place in our division
  4. This and the thread questioning McDermott as HC should really be the only hot threads this week. Look... Buffalo will still make the playoffs. Come at me with your vitriol if you want, but I will bet you on it. Cincy is just a terrible matchup for us. I actually feel pretty good about winning every other game the rest of the way, other than Philly. But as @HappyDays pointed out, Dorsey just doesn't have any feel for the game. Loved his description of calling the game as though he's using AI. Josh Allen is a Mustang Dorsey refuses to let out the gate until we're way behind. I really, really thought he found something against the Bucs. That was the offense I was honestly expecting to see the rest of the season. I'm really pissed right now because I think the coach(es... maybe???) are the problem, not the players. Changing coaches and scheme takes way more bravado than changing players. And if you want my prediction for the rest of the season since some of you are ready to throw grenades at me for saying we still make the playoffs: Win vs Denver (we destroy them. It's what McDermott teams do coming off a loss like that. Win vs Jets (we aren't losing to them a 2nd time... probably won't be pretty though) Loss @ Philly (just not seeing it) Win @ KC (unlike Cincy, we actually matchup well against them.. plus the bye) Toss-up vs Dallas (could see this with so many outcomes) Win @LAC (they just aren't good) Win vs NE (See NYJ commentary) Toss-up @ Miami (I honestly would call this a Win because we own them, but leaning conservative) So... at worst Buffalo has 10 wins. I think they get 11 though. Still in the playoffs. I just hope we don't face the Bengals. And please fire Dorsey, time to see what Joe Brady has.
  5. Beane did recently say his injury goes back to camp. Apparently he was on the report the last 2 weeks. Was he before that?
  6. One could also argue we got a bit of a break with a mini bye before Cincinnati and a full bye before Kansas City
  7. You'd think... except that Elam was never listed on the injury report and now he's on IR and (correct me if I'm wrong) is reportedly having surgery on that ankle.
  8. Work your magic Mr. Beane!
  9. What does the money thing in 2023 and 2024 mean? Packers are paying that much of his salary for those years?
  10. If we do this I assume we'd give them Elam and a pick, right?
  11. Pretty much makes zero sense based on the way all those QBs have actually been playing.
  12. Yesterday's podcast asked if this year is shaping up to be Josh Allen's best season, yet. His answer was yes, so far. Whatever you say Thurm. Yesterday's headline specifically asked if this season is JA's best season, yet. The question is asked right there in the headline. And his answer so far is yes. Trust you to be totally abscessed with me, though
  13. Dude are you paying attention to what you're saying? If you are... are you watching football that isn't Bills football? Go scope out the number of Turnovers all those other QB MVP candidates have and get back to us. And then after you make some ridiculous claim like Allen having more Turnovers than Mahomes (by 1), Tua (by 1), Jackson (by 2), or Lawrence (by 3) take a look at how many more TDs Allen has than all of them.
  14. Mahomes & Purdy seriously falter. Cousins tore his Achilles. Who's actually ahead of Allen right now?
  15. Lots of praise to go around to players and Dorsey alike, but... watch the first 10 minutes or so and you'll get the idea. Josh bein Josh.... which of course is to say Josh being one of the very best players in the NFL.
  16. Not gonna lie... 1st season ended terribly so stopped watching
  17. I respectfully disagree. Allen is in perfect position right now. Other than that Jets game he's been pretty good to really good. Now in the next 9 games he has games against Burrow, Tagovailoa, Mahomes and Hurts. If Allen outduels 3 or 4 of those guys in those games and the Bills win 3 or 4 and don't lose more than 1 other, he's set himself up so he'd be hard to not to vote for. That's a lot of ifs... but honestly all the other candidates have those ifs, too. Right now Mahomes has 7 fewer TDs, 3 fewer turnovers and just over 100 fewer total yards. Seems like Allen is way ahead in the most important stat (other than #QBwins) and really isn't that much worse in the other ones. So what are we going on here? An assumption Mahomes will win it because the Chiefs will light up the 2nd half of the season? Have we been watching the Chiefs? He already played both twice. And actually he often seriously struggles against the Broncos.
  18. As far as yesterday goes, he's crushing it. What else did he need to do? I think yesterday might have been his best game of the year.
  19. It's weird that something that was a positive revelation tonight you've turned into a negative.
  20. That's fine. Just seemed like a weirdly skeptical post when he has 6 more TDs than #2. I guess we should watch out for Cousins
