Uncatchable pass %. Dennison's fault too ?
transplantbillsfan replied to Teddy KGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Are you having reading comprehension problems again, Shady? "No one believes that. No one's believed that for weeks, probably." really don't understand that? There's no "which is that" in there because my statement doesn't contradict itself. Or are you just gleefully trying to dig up all the folks you idiots have labelled as being in a cult so that you can insult them for their opinions? -
Uncatchable pass %. Dennison's fault too ?

Obviously an uncatchable pass isn't Dennison's fault. What a stupidly veiled premise here. You're holding onto the notion that you need to prove to anyone that believes Taylor is a Franchise QB or even that he'll be in a Bills uniform much longer that he's not and that he won't. No one believes that. No one's believed that for weeks probably. That doesn't change the fact that Dennison blows. -
Neither Taylor nor Peterman are talking to the media today. It's pretty sad McDermott is playing this cat and mouse game against a Colts team we should easily beat no matter who's under center. If it were Patriots week or even 'Phins week, maybe it's a little different, but for once in my life as a Bills fan I'll just say it before we play: We're going to win

You haven't been a Bills fan for very long if you're saying this about Meatball. Pathetic

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Pats Crush Bills
transplantbillsfan replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I actually agree with this, yet we lost 23-3. This might have been one of our more competitive games against them and we still lost by 20. That first drive was just a killer. We looked really good and then that stupid interception. I think Taylor's injury was more of an influence on that interception than the idea of "taking a chance." It looked like he just didn't want to move despite Wood obviously being pushed right back into him, which was the ultimate cause of that interception. Then Joe Webb missed a WIDE OPEN Cadet running into the end zone. If those 2 plays turn out differently, we go into the half with a lead and maybe it's a different game. I'd love it if the Bills make up for it by coming out frothing at the mouth motivated and angry when the roll into NE, but I doubt it makes much difference. -
If Taylor is playing Sunday against the Colts, he'll almost certainly be playing the following week against the 'Phins, too. The Colts really suck. I expect us to win this game pretty easily. It's the only time all year I've felt that way. Probably also the only time I'd feel okay saying it, too, 'cause if I were superstitious and somehow jinx us into a loss, maybe that wouldn't be such a bad thing, either

Not a chance in hell Taylor is 100%. If the injury is what it they've reported it as, I think it needs at least 5-7 days of rest to heal, which would mean he'd need to sit out from practice. So, to me, if Taylor is practicing tomorrow and/or Thursday, Taylor is pretty much just telling the medical staff there's no way in hell he's sitting on the bench. And this is why McDermott's comments that "Taylor is our starter when healthy" is a little confusing, to me. This was a window for him to start Peterman against the Colts for sure with absolutely no public/media/team backlash. Who knows, we'll see.

I don't really care right now. I'm rooting for 10-6 and playoffs, but that's pretty unrealistic watching this team. 9-7 is realistic, I think, but a bit of a longshot given that we'd need either the Ravens or Titans to lose 3 of their next 4. So that leaves me with what I want... playoffs. Or what I think will realistically happen but will probably be better in terms of draft position. I guess I don't care either way. I don't think Peterman is good, but I don't think he's as bad as he was against the Chargers. If Taylor's healthy, he gives us the best chance to win, but he doesn't look healthy. And as much as some might just absolutely deny this, I think once Taylor got injured on that 2nd or 3rd offensive play the injury really affected his game. That interception he threw was on a play he had plenty of room to move, but didn't. I think he was hurting and trying to limit his movement. So... I guess.... Peterman ...? Taylor ...? whoever. Just win the next 4 somehow

This theory is what I would've thought McDermott would do, but he said Taylor's the starting QB when healthy. That's a bit of a shift from his previously more tenuous position on who the starter is. I just don't get it. We'll see what happens. But with what McDermott said and Taylor's understanding that these are his last 4 games almost certainly in Buffalo, I think he's starting.

I really don't think we're going to lose to the Colts. And I'm really not all that excited about that. Pretty numb to this team at this point. McDermott's been pretty confusing in the last month or so. So, last week after the KC victory, he would only commit to Taylor as the starter for the Patriots game, right? Now, suddenly, he says "Taylor is our starter, when healthy." What gives? Super confusing. As much as I'll root for Taylor under center when he gets back, this was like the perfect opportunity for McDermott to just find a way to start Peterman the rest of the way and either see if the kid has recovered and is a competent NFL QB or if he continues his dumpster fire play from the Chargers game. And McDermott wouldn't have to face much or any backlash from the public/media/team because he can at least use injury largely as the excuse. Either way, all parties KNOW what's coming in the offseason. It's a typical early December... "in the hunt" in technical terms but it's a distant hope. I'm rooting for Ws still because I can't root for a Loss... not like me rooting for a W has any influence over the game, anyway. And I'm already seeing the Bills win their next 2, going into a Christmas Eve game giving me a small bit of hope and then ruining my damn holiday week by losing both of their last 2 games. Those sons of bitches!

8-8 or 9-7 is pretty impressive.

Here is my very simple ranking of what I want our final record to be... ranked in order of #1 (what I want most) to #4 (what I want least... which will be 2 records and might be the most likely, unfortunately): #1 - 10-6 I think this is incredibly unlikely because Buffalo would have to win their remaining games and win a game in NE. Regardless of anyone arguing we should lose out for a draft pick, finishing the season with 4 wins and a win in NE and ending our playoff drought is the best possible scenario. We'll still have what looks like a climbing 1st round pick from KC to trade up to get one of the top 2 or 3 QBs. #2- 6-10 If we lose against Indy this Sunday, I hope we lose the rest of our games. Best possible draft pick and trade up for one of the top 2 QBs. #3 9-7 I'm not going to be overly upset with a 9-7 season. It'd be pretty impressive given this roster. I don't think we make the playoffs because of tiebreakers, but there's an outside chance. #4 8-8 or 7-9 Either of these are worst possible scenarios. -

The moment you show you have any integrity and don't say a negative word about him for a week... ya know... your stupid CoT bet thread you lost for the KC game... Once that week is done, we do it Yes, today there were a few nice wrinkles. Still not happy with him, yet. -

Holy crap... you bumped this thread in defense of Dennison?! in defense of the guy who called a fade route on 4th and goal?! Good for you. I don't know why the heck you'd still want to defend Dennison after today... though the Joe Webb addition was a breath of fresh air. Yeah... don't know why you're so in love with Dennison as a play caller. Kinda weird.
