  1. You missed a game where the offense looked like it found its rhythm and Taylor played some of the best football of his career for the 1st half. Then McDermott/Dennison's offensive approach went typically conservative when they get a 2 score lead. I just want a foot to the throat 60 minute pounding for once just to prove we can hold a lead. Next week if we miraculously get a lead this offensive approach just won't work.
  2. If the Ravens lose either of their next 2 games and the Bills beat the 'Phins week 17, we would have the same common opponent record and it would then go to Strength of Victory. Can't say for sure, but I think Buffalo would have SOV tiebreaker.
  3. It just really irritates me because the offense was just on fire in the first half. Taylor had perhaps his best half and a Bills uniform. We looked like we were going to blow them out by 30+ points. This worked because it was Jay Cutler and the Dolphins. Next week is going to be a very different story.
  4. Gotta bump for another week... alive all the way to week 17... just look back through the pages of this very thread to the beginning of the year to discover how impossible this seemed for many right here on this message board
  5. Man, Taylor is still really underappreciated for how successful he is as a QB behind one of the worst OLs in the NFL when any other QB would be getting sacked or hit while they throw four interceptions.See 1st half of Chargers game for reference.Taylor escapes sacks so routinely and easily because of his athleticism that it's very easy to overlook these as plays he made almost or entirely on his own. And I thought it was interesting how dynamic Dennison's play calling was in the 1st half. He had a game plan asking Taylor to throw a lot, and he did, and did it well. Hell, Taylor was on pace to throw it 35+ times for over 300 yards after the 1st half. Then typically over-conservative in the 2nd half. As for the deep throws... well stone-hands Jones doesn't help, but aside from that nicely placed dropped ball, were any of those guys really running open on those deep passes? I love that he's still throwing deep but would much rather see him overthrow than underthrow. Fantastic win!!! 2 more, please
  6. Yeah, people say idiotic things when they’re all emotional
  7. Titans look like they might. Chargers just need to lose one more.
  8. One can never assume what the heck Shady meant. He's very difficult to understand... even he'll admit that
  9. Why the past tense? Isn't he still our starter and aren't we rooting for the playoffs? Don't we all want to see Taylor succeed?
  10. Wow... good job guys! You've fed the troll... he'll sleep well tonight
  11. If that's true, why the hell are they letting him be a full participant in practice? He's already in stage 4 of the protocol.
  12. You bet! I've had plenty! Glad we understand eachother
  13. Does the independent neurologist not work on the weekends? No, I'm not calling him dumb. Is that honestly your interpretation of that? Trying to pick a fight again? Saying the Bills have no chance against Miami with Taylor is a dumb statement. Smart people can say dumb things.
  14. I gotta say, I'm surprised that Peterman is now just listed as "OUT." He was a full participant, but he's out? He can't be evaluated tomorrow or Sunday? Or is this McDermott taking a different approach for this game by giving Taylor an opportunity to sink or swim all on his own without ever looking over his shoulder this week? Kinda weird. That leaves an extra active position, though. I wonder who it will be. Given Benjamin's injury, we better have Reilly active and ready to go.
  15. Lack of faith is understandable. Saying we have no chance to win is just dumb. Uuuuuhhhhh,... is this a serious question or tongue in cheek? If it is, the answer is yes. It's not "I think yes," the answer just obviously is "yes." And it was a dumb question, if meant to be serious.
  16. Ya know, this is something people said last year right after the Baltimore game, remember? They're the ones who first said they "made him a QB," which was how they shut him down. Why didn't every single other team follow that blueprint? You say this as though the blueprint is out there and so Taylor will never have a good game again. That's just ridiculous. Why didn't Seattle do it last year when Taylor had the 2nd best game of his NFL career? Or Miami when he had the best game of his NFL career? This argument that Taylor has been "figured out" and so he needs to be on the bench because he can't lead this team to Ws anymore with that blueprint out there is a little ridiculous because clearly either that blueprint doesn't always work or teams are just aren't using that blueprint, despite the fact that it's apparently a blueprint that always works so well
  17. No matter how Peterman plays, even if he started this week, you wouldn't have a firm answer on him and anyway, whatsoever. Three games is a blink of an eye. And there would always be the question of whether he was just really successful because teams didn't have any tape on him.Three games is a blink of an eye. And there would always be the question of whether he was just really successful because teams didn't have any tape on him. Even if Peterman came in for the last three games to start and played exceptionally well, the Bills are still drafting a QB in the first round. It must be so
  18. No. One loss it's not over. The Titans could easily lose two of their next three games. Heck, I could see them losing all three.No. One loss it's not over. The Titans could easily lose two of their next three games. Heck, I could see them losing all three. We would just need the Titans or the Ravens to lose two of the next three. Really probably won't happen for the Ravens though.
  19. You seriously don't think we have a chance to win with Taylor against the Dolphins?
  20. As I've said I really don't watch college ball, but from the little I know and have seen, Josh Allen looks to me like he could be a Josh Freeman type of bust.
  21. Here we go baby!!! Indy just needs to lose next week at Baltimore and to close the season against the Texans!
  22. https://www.wkyc.com/article/sports/nfl/browns/baker-mayfield-to-the-browns-new-cleveland-gm-john-dorsey-says-hes-already-scouted-heisman-qb/95-499196820?scroll=0 Well all the pre-draft stuff has started. If it were true that the Browns loved Baker Mayfield, I wonder if they would try to trade down in the 1st round to acquire him and pick up more draft picks... again. If so... trade up with them to ensure Darnold/Rosen???
  23. I apologize for being an arse... I know I can be one. Sometimes you just bring out the worst in me, largely because you have some seemingly very extreme preconceived notions. Ask questions next time if you don't understand what something says rather than just assuming "the worst" immediately. When I'm unfairly attacked, I'll hit back.
  24. I was going to get upset at you, but I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and translate what I meant. Here's the quote you're referring to where you think I'm saying that Taylor will be here in 2019: "If it's Rosen/Darnold, we probably keep Taylor who competes/starts the beginning of 2018 with one of those guys set to take the reins during the year of in 2019." I assume you're equating Taylor with "one of those guys" because he was mentioned in the same sentence. Considering it says "one of those guys set to take the reins," I believed, when typing that sentence originally, that it would have been implicit to anyone who read that phrase that "take the reins" means it would have been Rosen or Darnold taking over Taylor's position once he was gone. I see that I needed to explain that phrase further for clarification for a poster who might misinterpret that phrase or just not know what the heck it implies/means. So, what that phrase said and what I meant with that phrase was never that Taylor would be around in 2019, instead that Taylor might be here in 2018, possibly still "holding the reins" as a starter/placeholder while the rookie learns. And then in 2019, Taylor would be gone and one of Darnold or Rosen would have to "take the reins," a phrase that usually implies one person taking over a position from someone who is leaving or has just left that position. Understood now? I never ever said or meant or believed in the context of this thread that Tyrod Taylor would still be a Buffalo Bill in 2019
