  1. It might not quite be you. You just jumped on DC Tom's butt, maybe because you idolize him. But it is DC Tom.
  2. Only that DC Tom is.
  3. Except you demonstrated your own racism... or at least your extreme unfamiliarity with other races. Clearly you think a lot about race in dialogue that has nothing to do with race. The article/video you and @GG pointed out tell me that you must be so uncomfortable with being labelled a racist that you'll find anything that anyone says that anyone on earth could interpret as racist in any way and point it out to deflect your own inherent racism. I use the phrase "well-spoken" and "articulate" all the time with people in many settings of many different professions, positions all the time. Again, as an English Language Arts teacher, by trade that is something that I appreciate. You saw those buzzwords and immediately jumped to race. And you're still trying to run away from the very racism inherent in your own accusation.
  4. You guys are ***** racist idiots. Seriously. I'm out before I get kicked out permanently. I'm sure the cronyism could make that happen quickly.
  5. Shut up you racist dumbass. You're pathetic. I love how you ran away from the other thread where the evidence of your own blatant racism is. What's most pathetic is you legitimately think the way you brought race into a conversation that wasn't REMOTELY about race was you somehow being a champion for some anti-racist argument. Just sad. Yes. And Bill Clinton. And Mitt Romney. "He's well spoken" "She articulates well" It's absolutely a box to check for me. As an English teacher, it should be.
  6. W graduated from Harvard and he's a bumbling idiot. Guess racism is just an undercurrent here.
  7. This place is toxic and really sucks, largely because of racist picks like you. I hope you do some self exploration. Back to the Wall. PPP is pointless.
  8. Well amazingly the Cardinals GM was pretty non-committal about Rosen being the Cardinals QB next year when asked before the combine. "...right now..." sure isn't a huge vote of confidence. What a royal screw up that will turn out to be if they draft a QB #1.
  9. Well, I said this all depends largely what people say their plan for reparations are. Right now, I like Harris's plan, which is the systemic change I would prefer. And if a candidate like Harris defines that systemic change as reparations, I definitely support reparations. The question of what a reparations program looks like is absolutely integral to this discussion.
  10. What the hell are you talking about and why did you just @ me?
  11. No. Call yourself a racist because you brought up race when it was completely irrelevant. Why in the world did you even bring race up after that post? I don't foray enough into this forum, but I get the impression you're viewed as one of the better contributors in PPP. If that's the case, this is a low point for you. It's funny how even in this post you're trying to steer the conversation into a broader discussion of racism to deflect the revelation of your own racism, jackass.
  12. US leads the world in reducing carbon emissions over the last decade... Hmmmmm.... who was our President been for most of the last decade???? Despite all these regulations Trump is lifting on things like gas mileage, most car companies are sticking with trends of improving gas mileage because they understand whatever regulations Trump lifts are likely to be brought back... and they already started the process, so why reverse course at this point? Yikes, this place is horrible... really brings out the worst in people.
  13. Did I or did I not say I would need to see someone's plan for reparations before saying whether I liked it or not? Wait, too many dumbasses here to ask rhetorical questions... The answer is yes, I did say that. I think people like you have an insanely extreme view of what these reparations would be, if they were ever implemented, and I kinda doubt our culture, where rich white guys still have all the power, will ever actually let it happen.
  14. No. You don't get to escape your dumbass racist comment. Don't project your own racism onto me when I said and implied nothing about race. You just obviously assumed it was about race because she's black. That's on you. If you we're accusing me of racism, that's clearly what you should call yourself. I also like Kamala Harris in part because she's well-spoken. I think a president should be well spoken and articulate him/herself well. That's one of the reasons I don't like Trump, didn't like Bush, don't like Warren. Booker fumbles around a bit too much and almost speaks at a speed that's incoherent at times. Has nothing to do with race, you racist bastard.
  15. Pfft... yes, Trump would be the best President in the history of the US... nay... the world... nay, the UNIVERSE if everyone weren't out to get him.
  16. #1 is the one I don't really care for. I'd ask for #2 the same thing he was asked when asked if he would commit to reparations like a couple of the other candidates... what exactly are reparations and how would they be implemented? Yes, I could get behind some form of reparations considering the massive economic disparity that's existed in our country since its founding and has persisted even after the Civil Rights Act of the 60s in subtle, but still pernicious practices like red lining. But I would need specific details. I'd get behind something, though, yes. I'd like it to include Native Americans and Hawaiians, too.
  17. WTF are you talking about idiot?! Did I say anything about race? I brought up well-spoken because of who currently sits incapably in the Oval Office. If race was what came to your mind when I said that, look in the mirror when you're throwing out accusations of racism, moron. Hey, I guess I'm kinda getting the hang of this namecalling thing that's acceptable here...
  18. She worked in the Public sector as an Assistant to the Mayor of Chicago, Assistant Commissioner of Planning and Development, Executive Director for the Chicago office of Public Allies, Associate Dean of Student Services at the University of Chicago developing the University's Community Service Center, worked as executive director for community affairs and then as Vice President for Community and External Affairs for Chicago Hospitals. She's super smart, graduating from Princeton and then Harvard law school. She's very well-spoken, which would help in addressing not only the public, but also in foreign relations. She's a fantastic role-model. That more than checks any boxes she would need, especially now that so many boxes have been eliminated with our current president. If Michelle Obama ran for President, she would win. If she ran against Trump, it wouldn't surprise me if he would bow out knowing the inevitable outcome. But she's not running, so no point in discussing it, really. But I was challenged to answer a question, so I did.
  19. Was Donald Trump? A business is not a country. Were Barack Obama or John F. Kennedy? They were Senators and never executives of anything. I'd say being up close and personal as 1st Lady is a damn positive notch on the qualification scale if she checks other boxes.
  20. I love the aspirational ideals of the Green New Deal, but not all parts of it essentially for how it would or would not be put into practice. I absolutely believe in man's influence on our climate. Considering how much we've changed the world in the last century, I believe it's foolish not to. Plus, there's science. I absolutely believe everyone should get health care and I'm fine paying more in taxes for it. Our taxes go to things like our highways and bridges and airports and trains and education system and social security and so on... they should absolutely go towards people getting health coverage, too. I absolutely believe there's been a history of repression of women, of people of color, and of indigenous people (Native Americans, Hawaiians, etc.) that's systemic in our very culture that needs to change. If you think I'm a Democratic Socialist because of those things in particular, fine. But no, I do not consider myself a Socialist.
  21. She has 8 years of being a 1st hand observer and secondary executive to the President of the United States. C'mon man...
  22. Has there ever been a poll of the average age over here at PPP? Just curious. Seems it might shed some light on some of the things I read over here. Boy the way you present these things just tells me how wildly I differ in opinion from most of PPP, in all likelihood. This country has waves of young voters who are likely to come out and actually vote, just like they did a few months ago. Those young voters ain't votin for Trump.
  23. What did I need to defend myself on? You did it for me. It's not my fault you misrepresented what I said, but thank you for quoting what I actually said
