  1. Why? Seriously... why? Chris Ivory is still under contract, right? We now have two 30 year old RBs and one 35 year old RB???? What's the thought process here?
  2. Well... they're OL and I just don't pay much attention to OL. But here's a ranking of the 50 best UFAs this year and they lump Morse and Paradis together at #8 and #9... does this sound accurate? https://ftw.usatoday.com/2019/03/ranking-the-50-best-2019-nfl-free-agents-by-value 8. Mitch Morse, C, age: 26 9. Matt Paradis, C, age: 29 We’re lumping these two in together. Paradis is the better player, but Morse will cost a team less money and is younger. Whichever teams end up with these two should be getting good value. Center is an underrated position and teams won’t have to pay a steep free agency premium to get them to sign.
  3. I will. I'm in no rush... just gotta see it before Endgame. As for the rotten tomatoes reviews, I used to look at those critic reviews and weigh them pretty heavily. Over the years I've come to discover that the user reviews are the most accurate ratings in terms of how good a movie will be. Just as a couple examples, The Hitman's Bodyguard currently sits at 42% critic's reviews (rotten) and 67% user reviews (fresh). I remember going to see that movie in the first month it was out and the user reviews were in the 70% range, close to 80%. That movie was a blast. Laugh out loud funny with great action. The Greatest Showman currently sits at 56% critic's reviews (rotten) and 86% user reviews (fresh). That movie was also a blast... in a different way... and you've obviously gotta dig musicals. Marvel's The Punisher on Netflix is another good example of wildly divergent opinions from critics vs. users... and another example of where I side with the users a lot more. So I actually think those reviews are helpful, but mainly the user ratings. That's why crap like this pisses off people who go to sites like that for a legitimate overall feeling of a movie from audiences: https://news.avclub.com/the-morons-are-already-out-here-trying-to-tank-captain-1832753416
  4. Okay wtf is going on? What's with all the crap that the Captain Marvel movie has been taking on? I haven't even seen the movie yet, but it has the lowest audience ratings by Rotten Tomatoes for a Marvel movie in the Avengers cineverse EVER!!! Lower than Thor: Ragnorok (which I couldn't stand) and the extremely forgettable Iron Man 2 & 3. I know there's push back because, I guess, Brie Larson is viewed as some extreme feminist, but are there seriously this many Internet Trolls out there? It's pretty irritating because usually I find the Audience scores more reflective of how good the movie is on Rotten Tomatoes than the Critic scores, but that 59% vs. 80% is clearly bullcrap.
  5. More to why I barely pay attention to Syracuse basketball 'til now. Regular season college basketball, unlike both the NFL and obviously college football, is relatively meaningless. Hell, it's meaningless even in relation to the NBA. In the NBA, the regular season tells you who's almost a lock to be in the "final 4" championship games of each conference because they're best of 7 series. While in college basketball the "one-n-done" NCAA tournament is fun to watch, it's almost no indicator of the best team for that season. Boeheim becomes a better coach and the Orange always become a better team in the tournament, for some reason, and I'm just expecting that yet again this season after a very BLAH regular season.
  6. Other than Golden Tate, I think he's the best slot guy out there.
  7. Oh c'mon now... we would have by far the oldest RB corps in the NFL with McCoy and Ivory and then old man Gore.
  8. Yes. Julio is worth it as a player and he fits the culture of what McDermott and Beane have built in Buffalo.
  9. Just actually watched what he said. What a load of crap. Guy should be a politician. He said AB was the problem while trying to evade the question. Plus, early in the interview he literally raves about the situation in Oakland as being ideal because of having an "offensive Head Coach" and an established QB like Carr. And on a side note, much like he did with Jalen Ramsey, I'm sure Allen is paying attention to a sleight like that and it's one more little spark to his fire.
  10. We in the habit of taking NFL player agents--especially ones as notorious as Rosenhouse--at their word now? Seems to me he's trying to save face for his idiot client at this point. Beane pulled out, but I'd bet it was the effect of something on AB's part.
  11. This deserves reposting. One of Joe B's more thoughtful and accurate columns I'd say.
  12. I agree with a lot of this. The problem is that whatever due diligence Beane did on AB, if the reports that Brown wouldn't show up in Buffalo are true, then Beane's due diligence either led him astray or this was an example of him rolling the dice on an uber talented player assuming he would just "fall in line" once he got absorbed into Buffalo. I hope it's the latter more than the former.
  13. Was that what the compensation was? Where'd you hear that? I don't think that's bad at all, actually.
  14. I disagree. I think this is an indication that plans are to "win-now." I think this is a pretty damn good indication that's priority #1 this offseason.
  15. I had a very high opinion of Beane before this. I still do. This just shifts my perspective a bit on him. I really didn't think we would make a serious run at AB because of how much of a documented locker-room issue he's been over the last couple years--face-timing after a win, walking out at the end of week 17, the way he's handling things with the team, etc. Now that we have, it certainly makes me think culture isn't as important with Beane and McDermott as I thought it was. It also makes me think, despite Beane's comments as the offseason began about us being relatively judicious with our offseason moves in Free Agency with all our freed up CAP space should be taken with a grain of salt. And it tells me the McBeane regime is moving into the "win-now!!!" stage rather than the "rebuild primarily while trying to win" stage we were clearly in last year and the year before.
  16. It didn't happen, but there's no denying now our very serious pursuit of arguably the best WR in the NFL for what likely would have been for a relatively hefty price. No one really was talking about the possibility of that trade as a serious thing and I'm sure many questioned whether Brown is a Beane/McDermott type guy. Does it change your perspective on Beane, what we're going to do in Free Agency, McDermott's Bills` culture and the outlook of out 2019 season?
  17. I sincerely hope Beane didn't waste time or effort trolling another team the way so many Internet trolls waste their time trolling other people. Pretty stupid for anyone, but this is the time of year Beane needs to be hard at work, not doing something idiotic for lols.
  18. How do you know Rap was correct? How do you know they agreed to a deal?
  19. TO helped propel the Eagles to the Super Bowl, which they might have won if he wasn't playing on a fractured leg. Damn you John Wawrow... you will be blamed for at least one man's restless sleep.
  20. You don't watch the NFL much, do you? NFL is so ridiculously year to year that saying the Bills are "not ready to compete" is utterly ridiculous if you believe the Front Office found their QB. Hope you're right... going to bed now and hope this trade holds up.
