  1. You can have a thing you don't deserve, and right now the Bills have a winning record. Enjoy. I'm sure it'll mean a lot in January.
  2. ? Based on what? This is not a good football team. They've been playing at a very mediocre level in an extremely weak year for the AFC. They've only been able to beat the very worst teams in the entire league so far, and have struggled mightily in several of those wins. Today's game should show you that this is a really a 3-6 team with masquerading as something better because of the 3rd easiest schedule in the league.
  3. Hauschka makes the kick and we just tie it, leaving McD/Daboll/Allen another opportunity to find a more creative way to lose. If we were an actual good team that deserved our record the Browns never would have even been in this game. It was a 60 minute race to the bottom, and the browns finished shooting themselves in the foot before we ran out of bullets.
  4. As someone that uses KPIs daily, this is 100% correct. It's just a more complicated word for "metrics"
  5. Who said drastic changes needed to be made? Have you ever been part of an acquisition/takeover? Drastic changes are often made not because they *need* to be made, but sometimes just because someone wants to, power, ego, etc. A company I used to work for was acquired earlier this year and they just announced they're shutting the whole thing down. I know for a fact is made $20M in profit with 50 employees and would've taken about 10-15 people to keep the lights on and that money rolling in. One of the apps I created while there was top 100 in the Google Play Store. They didn't shut it down because it wasn't popular, well reviewed or very profitable. They probably shut it down because it wasn't the next trillion dollar thing, like BillsFan89 referenced.
  6. No, it really wasn't. You're giving yourself way too much credit.
  7. My religion is critical thinking.
  8. Conservatives find liberal boogeymen wherever they go these days. Hot tip: reality has a liberal bias
  9. The Bills most definitely are if you look at where they are right now. I've been hammering this for a couple years now and it should be pretty obvious by now that it's the most realistic scenario. We should be able to agree by now that this team isn't a real contender this year. Tehy may win some big games, and even a playoff game, but they aren't anywhere near the caliber of the league's best, yet. Being a real contender by year 4 is contingent on Allen and Edmunds becoming stars, in my opinion, as well as finding another talent that completely breaks out and becomes a gamebreaker (Duke Williams, Milano, Knox, Oliver, Kroft, Lawson etc) That hasn't happened yet. Most of those players have all played very well, but they aren't taking over games by themselves the way you need players to if you want to be a top team. Ultimately this team still needs its young players to define who they are, find 1-2 offensive gamebreakers, and find another dominant presence on defense before you can really call them ready, at least in my book. I think another solid draft and some FA additions could get that rolling next year, with the team ready to compete with the real teams in the league by the following season. That's all of course pending on Allen turning into a capable player and Edmunds proving that he's at worst long-term starter material.
  10. Injury prone, injury prone, injury prone. This is year 3 of a 5 year rebuild. Jerry Rice and Fred Biletnikoff don't get this team a ring this year. Way too many other problems.
  11. Exactly. Better performance vs a team we were expected to beat vs a lesser performance against an unbeaten team that looked unstoppable.
  12. We're not even close to those guys. The problem with relying on a good defense, is that eventually they're going to have a bad game(s). At that point you need an offense capable of scoring at will to pull you through those situations. We have a Buffalo Classic offense that we can count on for a cool 10-17 points a game, and that type of jauron-ball just isn't going to get it done over the long haul. We need players and play-calling capable of racking up 1 play TDs when we need them. Very happy we're 4-1, but we aren't beating the league's best out there.
  13. It was week 5. We were 4-0 on the year going into that game and Trent was an early favorite for the Pro Bowl before the hit. Yea, he bounced back the next game (Week 7), btu he was never the same player again.
  14. I think Zay makes sense in a player for player trade like the Hughes deal. Let's move him for some other team's disappointing prospect and see if we can get anything out of them.
  15. Green is constantly hurt. Not sure why we'd want him. I'm also not even sure you can trade for an injured player.
  16. When my cousin and I played Tecmo Super Bowl in 1990, as small kids we knew it was always better to kickoff so you could score twice. I have no idea how it eluded coaches until Belichick started doing it.
  17. Diggs and John Brown are kind of the same player. No need for two of them in my opinion.
  18. More mind boggling? Drew Stanton has played 13 years of NFL football and has amassed 32 Million dollars for appearing in 38 games. I'd rather be him than Tom Brady.
  19. I figure 31-14 Pats. They'll put us down 14 int he first and we'll be playing catch up the whole time. I'll be ecstatic to be wrong, but I think this will be the best Pats team we've ever faced.
  20. According to some metrics. If I were playing int he playoffs tomorrow, there are several other D's I'd take above ours.
  21. Because I've watched the Pats build a lot of different types of teams and win with all of them. This may be their most balanced group yet. I dont think a team will be able to stop them offensively and I think their defense is opportunistic and has enough top flight talent to prevent other great offenses from scoring as much as they'll need to in order to keep pace. I think the Chiefs with their utterly redonkulous offense can put the Pats to the test, but I don't see another team with a good enough D to shut them down or an offense good enough to keep pace. The "Bend don't Break" zone style of D we play is what Brady has feasted on for years and years. It may work well against lesser talents, but he'l chew it up for 400 yards like it's nothing. We'll need to win the turnover differential by several points to win.
  22. If you want a chance at being able to sack a QB like Brady, I think you have to press your DBs. The downside there is that now you can give up the big play if your line can't put enough pressure on the QB.
  23. If NE can get past KC, I think they have as good of a chance to go undefeated as they ever have. Somehow, the NFL has ended up very weak this year, and I don't see another team that can stand in their way.
  24. I don't think 10-6 gets it done for you this year without tie-breakers. The Browns and the Chargers are early teams to be wary of taking those spots and the Jags/Houston certainly look like they'll be in the conversation. There's maybe some other teams that will right the ship too. This is a must-win game not just for standing purposes, but it's time we win all the games we're supposed to win like it's no big deal.
