  1. "Opponents scored an average of 33.2 points in Buffalo’s five playoff losses over that span." That is such a crazy stat with a defensive minded head coach that: Hired his own general manager and prioritizes the defense first in the offseason. Changed the offensive philosophy to a ball control time of possession offense to keep his defense off the field. Hired an in-house staff member to replace himself as the defensive coordinator. That ain't it.
  2. Funnily enough, I think Worthy would have been the perfect addition to this offense. They wouldn't have needed him to run complex routes. They need speed and the ability to stretch the field. It's a skillset they desperately needed when they got Diggs, same now. We'll see what happens with Coleman, it's too early to give up on him. That said, I think we can guess what his ceiling will be. I'm guessing Gabe Davis level player, hopefully he'll end up closer to a Courtland Sutton type. Honestly, I think my biggest fear is that they drafted him solely because of this blocking bull####.
  3. This is an insult to Chan Gailey. There is absolutely no chance Schottenheimer ends up with 34 wins as a head coach.
  4. Same with the Rams game this year, the corners looked completely outmatched. Forget covering Nacua or Kupp, Benford couldn't cover Atwell.
  5. Totally agree, but I don't see that happening with Mcdermott at the helm. I also don't see the point in adding a big name defensive tackle in this rotation heavy defensive line. Ed Oliver only played more than 80% of the defensive snaps twice last year, Chris Jones did twelve times this year.
  6. I'm not sure how this was missed the past year. Douglas was one of the worst starting corners on the team in recent history. Probably down there with the starting group Drayton Florence, Reggie Corner, and Ashton Youboty.
  7. My mistake, I thought they used their first round pick that draft to get Carter.
  8. The Eagles traded up for both of those players. The Eagles just hit on those players while the Bills whiffed on Oliver.
  9. Oh good, the irrationally angry self proclaimed "superior" fans are out in full force.
  10. My guy, Johnson wasn't even blocking on the final drive.
  11. Cooper only played 32 snaps in the Chiefs game and 21 snaps in the Ravens game. Literally no point in bringing him back if they won't use him.
  12. There was only two realistic results from Brady's play. They identify the blitz correctly and the line holds up long enough to get Kincaid the ball or the blitz isn't handled correctly leading to Shakir getting the ball 15 yards short of the marker. Which means that Kincaid was the only reasonable opportunity to get the first down. The problems start with Spags already knowing that Brady was going to sit on the same thing he's been running all year. That meant the defense had everything covered perfectly. The next problem is identifying the blitz against the best defensive coordinator in the league at disguising blitzes with only one hot route. A hot route 15 yards short of the first down! It was the most important play of the season and Brady was outclassed.
  13. Going through a rebuild year during Josh Allen's prime should have set his pants on fire last year.
  14. I'm not criticizing the execution or the coaching behind it. I don't have statistical analysis behind it, but I believe they ran a LOT of mesh plays this year. This was the play of the season where you bring out something new. Be it a new concept or a variation of a concept to throw the defense off. I just think Brady had a really poor game on top of a really poor showing against the Ravens.
  15. ***** me, Brady ran a mesh concept on the most important play of the season like a kid running back to mama.
  16. With stunning success stories such as Doug Legursky on his resume.
  17. You're going to get another offseason of rebuilding the secondary and the defensive line. AND YOU'LL LIKE IT!
  18. It's the same mindset they had last week against the Ravens and last year against the Chiefs. Brady is SUPER conservative when the game is on the line. It's a terrible trait to have for a coordinator. He's the exact opposite of Spags who is naturally aggressive in important moments.
  19. That third down swing pass before Spags outcoached Brady on fourth down is arguably the worst call of the season. Up there with the garbage TE screen call last week against the Ravens in an important moment. Wait... I might be seeing a pattern here. Edit - I totally forgot about the third and goal fade route to Coleman too! That's up there with Doug Marrone and Nate Hackett playcalling.
  20. Beane didn't draft Dawkins, Milano, or White. If we give him credit for those picks then we also have to talk about him skipping out on potentially the greatest QB of all time.
  21. Fans should have been questioning him for years now. Every year the defensive line fails to show up despite the capital invested in it. Coleman and Bishop were invisible tonight, it's too early to clown this class though. Kincaid doesn't look like a serious offensive threat, Elam is a bust, Rousseau is meh (worst defensive lineman tonight), Basham was a bust, Epenesa is meh, and Oliver/Ford are busts. He finds pieces here and there but overall there's too many misses. It once again comes down to the same question. Who's the bigger problem, the GM or coaching staff? That question won't be solved because McDermott and Beane are a package deal. This is the issue with the coach hiring his personal GM. We aren't getting one without the other despite one aspect needing to be replaced.
  22. We haven’t forced a punt since the wild card game people.
  23. That Worthy vs. Coleman debate really taking a bad turn today.
