  1. I just wrote this in another thread. (The spent was refering to marketing money)
  2. They spent it all on coming up with the name Black Lives Matter, which was frankly, brilliant. People are constantly conflating Black Lives Matter with black lives matter. Two totally different meanings. Try declaring Black Lives Matter a terrorist group (like Antifa) and see what happens.
  3. I saw one yesterday that was a group of Catholic prayer goers (lead by a priest) in St Louis, and BLM showed up. The BLM were screaming, bullhorning in ears (how is that not illegal, you could deafen someone), etc. There were spray cans of paint passed out, but not used. Instead, they used chalk (which of course washes off in the next rain). Maybe the word did go out?
  4. I read he’s former navy intelligence, which could be why he was so cool under that kind of pressure.
  5. A couple hours ago, Trump started posting these (there are more, I stopped at three). Of course he's been called racist for posting them, and based on the number of likes, Twitter is suppressing them. It will be interesting if the people on twitter can/will help identify these thugs.
  6. Welp, this story has something for everyone! St. Louis mayor faces calls to resign after she was accused of doxxing the names and addresses of constituents who wrote letters calling for police defunding ● St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson on Friday was accused of doxxing her constituents during a live broadcast on Facebook when she shared the names and addresses of protestors who gave her letters calling for police reform. ● On the since-deleted broadcast, Krewson shared the name and addresses of at least 10 people who called on her to slash police funding amid ongoing protests over the death of George Floyd. ● Krewson, a Democrat who has previously said she was "listening" to protestors' concerns, apologized amid complaints that her Facebook broadcast put her citizens at risk and that she should resign from office. ● The video was up for about three hours on Facebook before it was deleted and Krewson posted an apology. St. Louis, Missouri, Mayor Lyda Krewson on Friday apologized after she earlier in the day shared the names and addresses of her constituents who had hand-delivered her letters calling for police reformation during a protest outside the St. Louis City Hall. </snip> Krewson then grabbed a stack of papers from her desk, began reading from the letters, and sharing the names and addresses of the individuals who had written them to her. "Here's one that wants $50 million to go to Cure Violence, $75 million to go to affordable housing, $60 million to go to Health and Human Services and have zero go to the police," Krewson said, according to the report. "So that's [REDACTED] who lives on [REDACTED] wants no police — no money going to police." </snip> She later added: "I agree with all these things, by the way — except we're not going to take all the money from the police," Krewson added on the since-deleted broadcast. I think we need our police department." </snip> "She needs to resign immediately," one person wrote in a Tweet that received nearly 800 retweets and more than 2,200 likes. "At best, this is unforgivable intimidation against her own people. At worst, it's an incitement." A petition that was started by local drag queen Maxi Glamour calling for her resignation has gained more than 16,000 signatures since it was started late Friday. </snip>
  7. Thank you!!! I am downloading it now.
  8. Ukraine makes two high-profile detentions in corruption case (2017 back story) Swiss prosecutors charge ex-Ukrainian lawmaker with graft (2019 back story) There is some massive money laundrying that has been run through the Ukraine for years, with ongoing cases in the Ukraine, the EU, and in England. Swiss court convicts Ukraine former MP on money laundering charges On June 26, the Federal Criminal Court of Switzerland found former Member of Parliament of Ukraine Mykola Martynenko guilty of laundering about EUR 2.8 million through the Swiss financial system “as part of a criminal group.” The court also convicted another citizen of Ukraine, Pavlo Skalenko, who, together with the former Ukrainian parliamentarian, appears in Ukrainian criminal proceedings of the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), according to the Skhemy (Schemes) program, which cites three sources. Martynenko was sentenced to 28 months in prison, 12 of which are “unconditional imprisonment.” Skalenko will spend 24 months in prison. </snip>
  9. This may have been reported, I was just posting the tweet for the karma aspect.
  10. They are gonna head to South Dakota to take on a bazillion motorcyclists in Sturgis? Ummm they may want to reconsider this one. And wth is it a "racist motorcycle event?" Shesh these people need a new shtick.
  11. You do realize the economy in Hawaii is going to be in the toilet for a long time due to the Governor's COVID-19 tourist rules? Mandated 14 day quarantines for anyone flying in, is quite the deterrent. But wait, there is hope ... you can skip the quarantine if you test negative for COVID-19 .... beginning August 1st! Hawaiian tourism is ***** for 2020, and beyond. And when so much of your state economy is dependent on tourism, along with those tourist tax dollars... well, I hope you have tenure. The state of Hawaii's economy is certainly not going to be a V ... but that is Trump's fault, amirite?
  12. That's better than what I read every time I see the Fracking industry projected to have $300B in losses thread title over in TSW.
