I use chrome and FF. The issue happens in both. I can't think of any other reason I'd have sporadic issues here and then have the exact same problem on another forum. I'm not saying there isn't another reason, simply that I cannot think of one. I even checked who hosts them (here and the other forum) and they are two different hosting companies (because hey, you never know).

Cable TV Versus Everything Else

Hubby's trying to get me to cut the cord. I find all the ala carte selections (Amazon, Hulu, Netflix, etc) to be a tad confusing. I don't watch enough TV to want to think about my choices. ? (We have Fios) -

Did Brits warn about Steele's credibility, before Mueller's probe? Congress has evidence </snip> One of the deepest, darkest secrets of Russiagate soon may be unmasked. Even President Trump may be surprised. Multiple witnesses have told Congress that, a week before Trump’s inauguration in January 2017, Britain’s top national security official sent a private communique to the incoming administration, addressing his country’s participation in the counterintelligence probe into the now-debunked Trump-Russia election collusion. Most significantly, then-British national security adviser Sir Mark Lyall Grant claimed in the memo, hand-delivered to incoming U.S. national security adviser Mike Flynn’s team, that the British government lacked confidence in the credibility of former MI6 spy Christopher Steele’s Russia collusion evidence, according to congressional investigators who interviewed witnesses familiar with the memo. </snip> -
WOW! Good for him. This "national popular vote" will do small states no favors. At all.

Trump foreign policy

Wait a minute, now wait just a damn minute! I have been told over and over and over again for more than two years the Putin and Trump are BFFs. Why in the world would Putin want to "stick it to America" and hurt his bestie? {head scratch} -
Hope n' change, the Chicago way!

The Chicago Police Department could release hundreds of pages of official documents from "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett's case on Thursday. Last week, a Cook County judge ordered police and prosecutors to unseal the documents in the case. The police documents include official typed reports from handwritten notes from detectives. Police also have 69 hours of video in the case and redacted versions of the videos could be released next week.

I think B. The cops were speculating that yesterday.

Quid pro quo? Interesting speculation here. Sounds plausible. That damn Barr-guy. ? </snip> Here's the real story, in my opinion, with Mueller's press conference: Mueller doesn't want to be called by Nadler to testify before the House Judiciary because he doesn't want to answer tough questions under oath. Nadler doesn't want to call Mueller because he doesn't want Mueller answering questions that undermine the Democrats' plan to keep a cloud of suspicion floating over Trump until 2020. Mueller and Nadler are communicating because Nadler was pretending to negotiate a Mueller appearance before his committee. Basically, Nadler was like, "I need you to give me something if you don't want to be called to testify." And of course, Mueller was more than happy to hold a press conference where he could recapture his rightful status on all those prayer candles after failing to seal the deal against Trump with his report. I should mention that the Senate Republicans can call Mueller to testify, but I have little faith they will do that because they are sad, weak little men. A compromise had to be made because the Democrats' planned narrative was derailed with Barr's cut-to-the-chase press conference. But this time, Mueller delivered for the Democrats by insinuating that his team could not charge Trump because of DoJ's regulations not to bring charges against a sitting president...but would have if not for the regulation. AG Barr testified under oath otherwise about the DoJ regulation. Barr said that Mueller told him three times it was not the case that the OLC regulation prevented him from bringing charges. I believe Barr, who made this assertion under oath, over Mueller, who does not want to make any statements under oath. There were also witnesses to this conversation. I wonder what they have to say. </snip>

I don't want that. I thought it was horrible when Obama unleashed the IRS on the tea party and his political enemies. I do not want to see another administration play that corrupt game. Yes, I know it hinders and handicaps one "side" to play by the rules when the other side will not, but the Trump administration appears to be working hard to restore the rule of law in this land. I do not want to see them backslide into the Obama era corruption techniques.

Articles being written about Q1 are still saying the sky is falling. Some people are never happy. Link. Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased at an annual rate of 3.1 percent in the first quarter of 2019, according to the "second" estimate released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the fourth quarter, real GDP increased 2.2 percent.

It's like the DNC paid trolls have been unleashed. ?♀️ Everyone has a right to their opinion. Most of us have no idea what political maneuvering is going on behind the scenes. It is interesting that as soon as President Trump allowed for the declassification of all materials, Bob Mueller came out to stir the pot. I wonder why that happened? And, as the next OIG report comes due, Bob Mueller came out to stir the pot. I wonder why that happened? And, as Nancy Pelosi held a meeting with her flock to tell them "no impeachment", Bob Mueller came out to stir the pot. I wonder why that happened? Maybe Bob Mueller came out, pissed off everyone right and left, for no reason at all? Maybe he came out to reinforce the ridiculous V2 so the Democrats would take up impeachment articles against President Trump? Maybe he walked out to handicap his "good friend" William Barr? Maybe Bob Mueller is simply a bad prosecutor and doesn't know that our laws state "innocent until proven guilty" and not "guilty until you prove yourself innocent"? All I know is I am getting pretty tired of #OrangeManBad and #GetTrump. The question is are other voters also tired of this political witch hunt? And what will happen in 2020? Because if they don't #GetTrump before the next election, maybe he'll have a "lot of political freedom" to further drain the swamp?

In his report, and to Barr (who testified under oath that Mueller told him it was not a factor) he said no, that wasn't the reason (there was something of a discussion with RR). It was only when he gave his 9-minute speech did he say any such thing. Which then begs the question... if you couldn't indict a sitting president, why investigate him at all? And why not indict those around President Trump? My gwad, Mueller recommended a Russian troll farm for prosecution! His team laid perjury traps for anyone and everyone. He was definitely not shy about recommending people for prosecution who had no connection to the "Russian Hoax". V2 was something outside anything a special counsel has ever done before. I'm not certain if you know who Alan Dershowitz is. If you do, you may want to read this article. Keep in mind that Dershowitz has always been (and still is) a loyal Democrat.

Trump foreign policy

My (now deceased) MIL was French. She later became an American citizen. Hubby is fluent in French. He speaks to relatives, in French, on speaker phone, all the time. We are heading back to France later this year to visit his family. Where I can listen to more French being spoken. ? -
