  1. Ah, so this is where you all were posting Nancy's caving (she had to, she now owned it).
  2. Well, she was backed into a corner and owned it once the Senate overwhelmingly passed their version.
  3. OMG! I thought that was a parody account. Seriously, I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he would not be tone-deaf enough to say something like that. He's not listening to his handlers, is he?
  4. I've seen that theorized by more than a few.
  5. Link to article </snip> “I’ve been to that facility, where they talk about cages. That facility was built under President Obama under (Homeland Security) Secretary Jeh Johnson. I was there because I was there when it was built,” said Thomas Homan, who was Obama’s executive associate director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement for nearly four years. At an immigration conference today, Homan, under consideration for a new position of “border czar” in the Trump administration, grew visibly angry answering a question about “cages” often cited by Democratic critics of the president. Homan, who ran Obama's successful deportation operation, ripped Democrats who question Trump immigration officials on the Obama-era idea. </snip> Homan, at the conference hosted by the Center for Immigration Studies, said, “I would answer the question, ‘The kids are being house in the same facility built under the Obama administration.’ If you want to call them cages, call them cages. But if the left wants to call them cages and the Democrats want to call them cages then they have to accept the fact that they were built and funded in FY 2015.” </snip> He said that there are no cages but chain-link fencing that separates kids from adults, done for safety. “It’s chain link dividers that keeps children separate from unrelated adults. It’s about protecting children,” he said. What’s more, he said that it is only a holding facility until another agency that is part of Health and Human Services can collect them. But, he said, Congress hasn’t adequately funded HHS. And he said that the humanitarian aid bill working through Congress would help, but he said the House version amounts to “extortion” because it cuts funding for enforcement. </snip>
  6. So what I said is essentially correct. And the second ruling makes NO sense in light of the first ruling.
  7. Lindsey Graham, line 1! Paging Lindsey Graham to line 1! Methinks the Senate may want to get in on quizzing Mr. Mueller.
  8. I always dismissed the tin foil hat crowd that thinks the "deep state" has something on him, but some of the doozy decisions he has been the fifth vote on over the years makes me rethink my stance.
  9. She won because she was the only person up there that wasn't annoying as hell. And considering the Clown Car Occupants, that could work in her favor for quite some time.
  10. Ok, so I don't understand this ruling. As I am reading it, according to the SC, Wilbur Ross (the Trump Administration) has every right to ask the citizenship question on the census, but that the administration has to go back to a lower court so they can justify why they have every right to ask this question? Am I missing something?
  11. 4 deputies fired for "neglect of duty" in connection with Parkland school shooting, sheriff says Broward County Sheriff Gregory Tony announced Wednesday the completion of an internal affairs investigation into the deadly mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland last year. </snip> "It's been a long time coming about accountability," said Andrew Pollack, whose daughter, Meadow, was killed in the shooting. "That word has haunted me from a year ago, over a year ago, when my daughter was murdered. The people that failed need to be held accountable." Pollack, who spoke to WPTV over the phone on Wednesday, said these punishments wouldn't have been possible had Gov. Ron DeSantis not replaced former Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel with Sheriff Tony. "I know that with Sheriff Tony in charge he was gonna see that everything was done properly and the people that didn't act would be held accountable," said Pollack. "And I stand by the sheriff's investigation and I know they did a thorough one." </snip>
  12. I thought I was misunderstanding when he said this. Guess not.
  13. No, no you didn't. I wish I had.
  14. So what is the over-under on Spanish speakers tomorrow? Tonight it was 3/10. Tomorrow's cast of characters (three of which I have no idea who they are): Marianne Williamson John Hickenlooper Andrew Yang Pete Buttigieg Bernie Sanders Joe Biden Kamala Harris Kirsten Gillibrand Michael Bennet Eric Swalwell
  15. It was a quick slip which he immediately corrected.
  16. I was just thinking that... this was painful.
  17. Beto? He was babbling on how no president is above the law, and something about a painting, and then Trump could be charged, etc. I am sure it will end up as a clip somewhere.
  18. Amy Klobuchar got "Russia" in too!
  19. Should President Trump be prosecuted after he leaves office? Oh Beto, that answer is gonna come back to bite the Obama administration in the ass. Jay Inslee John Delaney calls Trump lawless (and then quickly switches gears).
