  1. When a discussion begins and ends with "racist", it ain't much of a discussion.
  2. It is insanity. What is to prevent roving gangs from robbing stores daily, as long as each person stays under their "daily limit"?
  3. No, I do not link everyone who disagrees with President Trump all together. I do not agree with everything he says or does. I label people who knee-jerk react to something he does, simply because Trump does it, as #OrangeManBad people. When those three tweets came out, I thought nothing of them... I read them, processed what was actually said, and watched the screaming begin. Over the course of the next four days it was pretty clear for all to see how politically brilliant those three tweets were. Democrats have (begrudgingly) admitted it was a political masterpiece in just a few words. Yes, there was pearl-clutching among "conservatives" simply because "that's not who we are" and because President Trump said (wrote) it. There was nothing racist or vile about those tweets. Nothing. Yet people went running around screaming with their hair on fire because they were from President Trump. And that is why people get labeled #OrangeManBad or #NeverTrump-ers... because the reaction is negative to nearly everything he does, simply because he is the one doing it. It is truly remarkable.
  4. Can I have some of whatever it is you are smoking?
  5. Some articles (I'd never heard of the pageant): Miss World America Strips Conservative Activist Kathy Zhu of Miss Michigan Title Over Her Refusing to Wear Hijab WHO IS KATHY ZHU? TRUMP-SUPPORTING MODEL STRIPPED OF MISS MICHIGAN TITLE OVER 'RACIST, ISLAMOPHOBIC, AND INSENSITIVE' POSTS << Newsweek likes to scream their titles
  6. This was in comments (no idea if it is factual):
  7. You are all over the place is seems. That is NOT a criticism - I am too. So, you are just a #NeverTrump-er ?
  8. REPORT: Trump Administration Has Reunited 95% Of Migrant Children With Their Families Or Sponsors </snip> The data provided had identified 2,648 children who were believed to have been separated at the southern border. The committee only had data from HHS on 1,619 of those children, but found that 99% had been discharged from HHS custody. “Of the 1,603 discharged children, 1,546 children—or 95 percent—were either reunified with an individual sponsor or released to a parent. Specifically, 1,061 children were released to a parent and 485 children were reunified with an individual sponsor,” the report found. The remaining 73 children who were discharged but not reunited have also been accounted for. Sixteen are being cared for by HHS’s Office of Refugee Resettlement (which determined four of the 16 hadn’t been separated from a parent), 21 had sought a voluntary departure and went back to his or her home country, 20 turned 18 while in custody and could no longer be held by ORR, eight were sent to another migrant program, six went to a DHS family shelter, one was granted immigration relief, and that last child was a runaway. </snip>
  9. A pity party? I say this as someone who is not a conservative... this has been a fight where one side has a hand tied behind their back, and the other has been using brass knuckles. Now, when the right is finally getting in a few blows, the left doesn't like it. You can only scream "shut-up and sit down" at people for so long before they rise up. This has been brewing for quite a while. You just happen to have a front row seat to the party of "that's not who we are" deciding that they have had enough. You think you are right of center? I have never seen you express one opinion down here that is anywhere close to the "right". What are your conservative/righty opinions?

  11. Judge withholds ruling on acquitting Flynn partner Bijan Rafiekian is on trial for acting as an unregistered agent for Turkey during his work for Flynn Intel Group, a consulting firm. A judge on Thursday stopped just short of acquitting Michael Flynn’s former business partner, Bijan Rafiekian, on charges stemming from work the two men did on Turkey-related lobbying work during the 2016 election. </snip> While defense lawyers for Rafiekian asked Trenga to dismiss the entire case, they were most focused on the conspiracy charge and capitalizing on a pre-trial ruling the judge made that evidence appeared to be lacking that Rafiekian agreed with others to violate U.S. law. Trenga expressed the same skepticism during a hearing on the issue, but following a 45-minute recess, he returned to the courtroom to say he was taking the issue under advisement and would allow the trial to proceed. “There are very substantial issues with respect to the sufficiency of the evidence,” Trenga said. He called the government’s proof “all very circumstantial,” adding: “Most of it’s speculative.” However, the judge noted that court rules at this stage call for him to assess the evidence in the light most favorable to the government. Then, he announced he was planning to “reserve” on the issue. That means the case will likely go to the jury. If it acquits Rafiekian on both counts, the judge will never have to resolve the acquittal motion, but he will have to return to it if Rafeikian is convicted. </snip>
  12. The unions are definitely unhappy.
  13. It wouldn't have been "leaked" by a GOP staffer if it had not been good news for the Trump administration. If it had been bad news, a Democratic staffer would have "leaked" it.
  14. the memo was of the closed door session
  15. Career officials rebut claims of White House interference in security clearance process Two career White House security officials have testified in a closed door session with the House Oversight Committee that no political pressure was asserted on their office in determining security clearances, according to a GOP staff memo obtained by Hill.TV. The testimony could deal a blow to Democratic assertions that President Trump and the White House counsel might have used undue influence on the process to win clearances for his son-in-law Jared Kushner and his daughter Ivanka Trump. </snip>
  16. Whatever happens, I just don't want to be stuck with the side that gets NYC. ?
  17. it will not be redrawn before the 2020 election. The next redistricting is slated for 2022.
  18. Seriously!? I can't tell what is parody or snark anymore as these people are so crazy, that could be real.
  19. She's not going to lose in her district. I was not kidding (much) when I said that she would be re-elected from a jail cell. She'd have to be primaried, or arrested before 2020.
  20. I don't think OP wants the bother. Like anything, the reward must be of more value than the problems. If the filming impacts everyday life for people in Orchard Park, well, then it better be "worth it", hence the high fees. That is the price-point where it is deemed worth the inconvenience.
  21. Argentina brands Hezbollah terrorist organization, freezes assets Argentinian authorities designated Hezbollah, which it blames for two attacks on its soil, a terrorist organization on Thursday and ordered the freezing of the Lebanese Islamist group’s assets in the country. The announcement coincided with a visit by U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo as Argentina marks the 25th anniversary of the deadly bombing of a Jewish community center in Buenos Aires in which 85 people died. Argentina blames Iran and Hezbollah for the attack. Both deny any responsibility. </snip>
  22. For those getting wee-wee-d up about the "send her back" chant, this is an excellent thread:
