  1. That's the reassuring statement everyone was waiting for. A lot of nervous Republican Senators/Congressman right now.
  2. Taxes and tariff policy should be a function of the legislative branch. Giving all this power to the executive branch rarely produces positive results.
  3. Drafting exclusively for need in the first two rounds is never good process. You're probably right but I wouldn't be shocked if they took one on day 1 or 2 considering I was shocked they took Bishop last year.
  4. Cutting Rapp after next season will only be a $666k dead cap hit. Bishop hasn't proven anything yet, Forrest played primarily special teams for Washington last year, and Hamlin is who he is. We could absolutely take a safety with our first three picks if he's the best player available.
  5. The people on the right defending this tariff policy thinking the short term pain that investors feel will be better for the economy long term sound a lot like Bernie Sanders.
  6. So, I'm guessing the 39% of adults who don't own stocks in some form are the only one's that are walking on main street.
  7. There's some genuinely smart economic minds on the right that are twisting themselves into pretzels to defend something they know is idiotic simply because their team is behind the idea. I'm sure they can sell to the public that Trump's tariffs were beyond successful and exceeded even their own wildest expectations.
  8. LOL. Trump is too predictable. He should wrap up all the tariff negotiations by Tuesday morning so the market goes back up. It's somewhat of a relief as this was the most likely outcome.
  9. I didn't mean to minimize ardent Trump supporters with that graphic because I think most are good people who feel there's no alternative to not support everything he does 100%. I just think Trump is a great salesman and artificial trade agreements with other countries is his end game. He doesn't want to go down as a president that sparked a deep recession. There was a reason they waited until after 4:00 on Wednesday for him to announce those tariffs. They didn't want to spook the market too much. It didn't work.
  10. I don't want to pay $15m a year to Cook but I don't see him as overrated. His vision is superb and we haven't had that go the distance long speed threat at RB since McCoy.
  11. I don't even know the end game as there's a lot of mixed messaging. Is it a short term policy to make better trade deals with individual countries? Is it to create jobs and businesses in the manufacturing realm to come back to the United States? Are they trying to reorder global trade? In the end, this is pry what's going to happen though as Trump makes artificial trade agreements to satisfy his ego while not sending the country into a depression under his watch.
  12. Overrated - posters who say the draft can't get here fast enough. Underrated - posters who are looking at the 2026 draft class already to try and find positions of strengths and weaknesses that could influence 2025's draft day decisions.
  13. I've said this before but if Trump doesn't back down and do his usual artificial trade agreements with other countries this policy we'll have a lot of short term pain in order to have long term pain.
  14. That's literally the only reason I voted for him.
  15. It wasn't a draft day trade but Beane traded Cordy Glenn to move up from 21st to 12th before the 2018 draft. There were some late round picks involved too (I think we swapped 5th and 6th round picks).
  16. They just re-signed Ty Johnson . That's my take on it too after Beane's comments. Especially considering they paid Ty Johnson and Allen called him the best 3rd down back in the league. He may have already requested a trade for all we know considering the drafts in a few weeks. Should be interesting.
  17. It's a little premature as it'll take three more seasons to get to 8 playoff losses.
  18. That's the same agent that screwed a lot of people in fantasy and said Cook would play against the Jets on that MNF game. I wouldn't be surprised if he suggested Cook be active on social media and put his house up for sale.
  19. I only care about the government screwing me over financially no matter who's in office. That's all I care about. I'd rather the president be Ted Cruz or Rand Paul because they wouldn't be dumb enough to start a tariff war for no flipping reason whatsoever.
  20. I'm joking. It was just funny to me with this is why I voted for him. I voted for him too but am pissed off at the moment with his incredibly stupid tariff policy that was all bark and little bit his first term in office. All he had to do was cut regulations, secure the border, extend the TCJA, and get out of the way to let the free market work its magic.
  21. Weird. I had you pegged as a Harris voter.
  22. I agree with this but what I always have trouble with was Elam and Kincaid the two last first round grades Beane had within striking distance? We'll pry never no. I remember being alarmed when Beane commented about giving up a 5th to move two spots up for Cody Ford in the because their were a run on tackles. So maybe after the run on CB's and WR's in the 1st round Beane could've panicked and picked Elam and Kincaid because we needed a CB and another pass catching option for Allen. On the other hand, he traded back for guys like Coleman and Cook they didn't have 1st (Coleman) or 2nd (Cook) round grades on so maybe he did have Elam/Kincaid as first round grades. I just wish a reporter could give him some truth serum for a press conference one day.
  23. I get it. Just having a little fun. I hate dominoes. In fact I'm a never eat pizza at dominoes guy. "Honey, order some dominoes."
  24. I love how every year we do this we hate the Bills picks despite this being a Bills message board. LOL.
