  1. The dirty Chiefs are the one's that proposed the rule change because they ruin everything. I think the players pry prefer it more than fans (besides Brady of course). In general though, people don't like to be confused and they don't like change. Both meet the criteria. From more players changing jersey numbers to the expansion of the positional number options.
  2. Just look at Simmons, Burns, and Wilkins's contracts compared to Oliver. Money talks.
  3. Judy from Buffalo doesn't do it for you?
  4. I understand Pro Bowl voting is the only way to include both the all pros and the very good players but I just can't stand how the voting works for it. Roger Saffold for example may have been the worst guard we started since Allen got here and he made the pro bowl that year. Just wish we had a better way of encompassing all the very good and elite players. Maybe?
  5. This is pry the main reason for a lot of good players but not many elite one's. Picking late in all the rounds every year hasn't exactly helped Beane acquire elite talent. I'm not absolving him of all responsibility (we could've had Metcalf twice now) but It's one of the downsides of missing the playoffs only once in eight years. Although, even when we had a top 10 pick (besides trading up for Allen) we chose Ed Oliver over D-lineman like Wilkins, Simmons, Lawrence, and Burns.
  6. I was wondering that. Do they include alternates in the pro bowl numbers?
  7. They had him sign the contract knowing he was suspended the first six games. LOL. Can we just request the first six games to be all divisional games?
  8. If the majority opinion is the relaxed numbers rule suck is it really "old man yells at clouds?"
  9. Social media may destroy our society but this is peak twitter.
  10. I'm not saying there's something that might accelerate that process but I think we'll be just fine in that area based off past history.
  11. He's certainly at minimum an equal replacement from what we saw out of Cooper last year. He looked washed even with the wrist injury.
  12. Missing 6 of 20 games is way less than a half if my calculations are correct. I'm with you on the Ogunjobi deal though even though his contract is prorated. What's alarming is he wasn't good even on PED's.
  13. Beane's not a a soup guy. Passes on Jack Campbell in the draft.
  14. Completely agree and I'd go one step forward and say that I want RB's in the 20's and 30's. WR's in the teens or 80's. CB's and Safeties in the 20's or 30's. Single digit numbers should be reserved for QB's, punters, and kickers. Get rid of the stupid number 0. The constant changing of numbers is pry good for NFL jersey sales but it drives me crazy.
  15. To be fair, I've never seen a GM sign two guys to contracts knowing they were going to miss the first six games for PED suspensions. Hoecht I can understand because they knew well before hand and it's a multi-year deal. Ogunjobi on the other hand they could've nixed the deal completely. I still don't know why they didn't as he hasn't exactly lit it up the last couple of years. From an outside perspective it's a clown show though and somewhat removes the tightly run efficient operation perception that McBeane's built over the years.
  16. It's a big decision for a young person to make. Do you do what Rousseau did and take $20m per year with $54m guaranteed even though you could get easily $25m next year as long as your play doesn't decline and/or suffer a major injury? Or do you bet on yourself and get a bigger contract after next season? I'd choose the former because $54m is more than I'd ever need. I understand why some players would prefer the second option though.
  17. He could've said $70m a year or trade me and the Bills wouldn't have blinked at giving him that. He's helping the team big time.
  18. Room for improvement.
  19. Not to mention Poona Ford and Tim Settle have flourished since leaving here. Leonard Floyd and Daquon Jones were the only solid free agent signing imo even though Floyd was here only a season. Mario Addison was somewhat productive I guess given his age. I'd consider Rousseau their best D-line pick given his floor is what you'd expect in a later first round pick. Ed Oliver has been madly inconsistent. Basham was a bust and Epenesa has been underwhelming to be kind. Signing Star as 1 Technique was a terrible deal. So was signing Trent Murphy to a $22m contract. Quinton Jefferson signing was a disaster the first time around and he looked worse last year. Don't get me started on Vernon Butler. Now we just signed two free agents caught juicing and said "screw it. We'll sign them anyways." Other than that, Beane's done great.
  20. Maybe give him the benefit of the doubt and that he simply grabbed the wrong list getting coffee after burning the midnight oil watching film all night. One list was "available free agents" and the other was "PED suspended free agents."
  21. As Carolina's coordinator during the Covid year he managed to get DJ Moore and Robbie Anderson both over 1,000 yards with Teddy Bridgewater throwing them the ball. Even Curtis Samuel had 851 WR yards that season. It's pry more of a lack of talent on the outside rather than not being able to use WR's in the passing game.
  22. Well. At least he didn't take his truth serum supplement today.
  23. Yeah. We should be fine. The only concern is if we have a cluster of injuries on the defensive line the first six games. I'm hopeful Eli Ankou gets a fair shot to make the team.
