  1. The timing wasn't ideal but it could've been worse. I suspect the injury he's gone/going through is something is worse than what was reported. He may have had multiple setbacks in what was originally considered a minor injury that turned into a major injury. You also have to remember that Brisett has taken all the reps with the #1's up to this point so having some clarity that he's the guy might be a positive thing. I only heard positive words and support from his teammates up to this point.
  2. There's some truth to this. They were calling him the best prospect since Elway and people just assumed he would be Peyton Manning 2.0. However, he seemed more like somebody with the mantra of the employee that works in the back of the Geek Squad at Best Buy than a leader of men that could will a team to a championship. I don't think I ever saw him yell at a WR or lineman. He actually complimented defenders. He was too damn nice. What's frustrating is that last year was the first time Luck had a decent o-line and defense which led to the best year of his career.. They gave him some more help this year at WR and it seemed this might finally be the year he rises from a playoff QB to a Superbowl QB.........and he retires. Which to me seemed totally consistent with his personality. The funny thing is there's a lot more people that pry are thinking "what could have been" if he still played and he pry isn't one of them.
  3. His best qualities were motivation and his ability to harness different ego's into a single team/family atmosphere. He was pry one of the only coaches that could've taken that team to four straight SB's. There were better x's and o's coaches out there and we may have won a SB or two, but we wouldn't of made four straight without Levy steering the ship. Yes. He did suck as a GM.
  4. That was before the Tea Party infiltration in Congress though then they got Sotomayer through and the Dems had the supermajority (for the most part) in the Senate. Ginsburg beat cancer in '99 and again in '09 when they caught the cancer in the early stages. Being only 75 at the time I can see why she wasn't ready to retire and also didn't see the Tea Party coming.
  5. Her problem was more ego as she wasn't convinced Obama couldn't successfully appoint somebody as liberal as her. Here's what she had to say in September of 2014 when the filibuster was still in place. She's of the mindset that McConnell's shenanigans forced Reid to end the federal judge filibuster.
  6. No. Luck's white. The last retirement that shocked me this much was actually Jordan. He's nowhere near as dominant as his sport as Jordan, but he's young enough (like Jordan) to take a couple of years off and still have a good six or seven years in the league if he returns.
  7. Me neither. This could be a Michael Jordan type situation and he comes back in two years.
  8. I like it and I hate it. So, maybe use it sparingly.
  9. Let the Fins have him. The Suh signing worked out so splendidly for them.
  10. There over/under win total at FanDuel went from 9.5 to 6 and they have us at 6.5. Granted, they have the tougher division. He could easily start his own business. He obviously has the capital to do so and the name recognition to go along with it.
  11. Young people always don't make the brightest decisions or think about their long term health. Also, many go broke when they retire. Most QB's who remain relatively healthy play because of their love for the game, their legacy, and continuing to make insane amounts of money. Luck made around 97 million already and has an engineering degree from Stanford so he should be fine. I don't think this tanks the Colts season as they're still talented on both sides of the ball and Brissett is no slouch. He'll have a better offensive line in front of him and better WR options than he did in 2017. They pry just went from a SB contender to a possible WC team.
  12. They can always do flashbacks. I have a hunch they pushed Better Call Saul season 5 to 2020 because of this movie.
  13. I can't remember this surprising of a retirement. Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson were surprising but I didn't blame them being on the Lions.
  14. Look out Andrew. Somebody isn't happy.
  15. Wow. That's nuts. Feel bad for the Colts organization and fans. Must've received some dire medical news
  16. Hell yeah. It's on Netflix and written and directed by Gilligan. Should be good even without Walter White.
  17. If that was true he would've been taken in the top three. He didn't have the muscle mass or hand size that Gronk had. The most common comparison I heard if he reached his full potential was Zach Ertz. Fans wouldn't have been thrilled with a trade up after the Watkins debacle, but if he develops into a stud then you have a point,
  18. On the Bills - Lesean McCoy after the quickness I saw last night. He looked like his old self. Around the NFL - JuJu Schuster who most expect to struggle with AB not there anymore.
  19. Trading up in the top 10 for a TE is insanity. We already made that mistake with a certain WR. Let's just wait and see whether Olver or Hoch has a better career and not speculate off of a preseason game.
