  1. Nacua Metcalf Laporta McBride Worthy Shakir
  2. Or they wanted to make room for Randall Cobb.
  3. Wasn't one of those interceptions to Keon a quick slant that he dropped and it popped right into the defenders hands? Can't remember the other one but Dorsey's offense relied more on choice/option routes depending on the leverage and coverage of the defense. Allen and Davis almost always seemed to be on the wrong page.
  4. Allen stats once Gabe became the WR2 in 2022 and 2023. -15% of Allen's targets -38% of Allen's INT's
  5. How many of the six interceptions were partly Mack's fault?
  6. I wouldn't be so sure as Beane and McDermott have raved about his work ethic in the past. It does tell you something about Gabe though where the Jaguars purposefully decreased their 2025 cap room by about $13.8m just to get rid of him.
  7. Man. People are brutal on Gabe. He's had some great all time plays here. The 98 yarder stands out to me. It's not his fault he was elevated to a role he didn't have the capacity to do. Having said that, the thought of Josh throwing to him again after a year where he cleaned up his turnover problem is like locking a recovering alcoholic in a brewery.
  8. The two most obvious one's that I must post.
  9. I hate that stupid song so I liked this version better. Screw the haters.
  10. One of the most amazing stats and why you really have to dig deep to make the argument that Josh deserved MVP over Lamar (who was also awesome last season) imo was that through the first 16 games Josh only took 15 sacks which has been done only 17 times in NFL history through 16 games. The first time since 2009. Even more impressive is they had the fewest combined turnovers and sacks through a team's first 16 games ever with 22. The next closest was the Titans in 2009 with 29. To me that's a QB stat, a play caller stat, a fundamental coaching stat, and an offensive line stat. Josh only being sacked 8.2% of the time when pressured is just stupidly efficient. You can't call last year's offense historic when you finish 10th in yards last season but you can when it comes to avoiding negative plays.
  11. This is far more likely and you should know as a master strategist. Occam's razor. Simplest explanation is usually the right one. Beane is a guy that strikes me as having a temper if pushed far enough. There's no way Jeremy and Joe saw it coming unless they're Oscar caliber actors that we don't know about.
  12. This board would still be in mourning.
  13. That's like saying Eric Dickerson's 2,105 yard season in 16 games was more impressive than OJ Simpson's 2,003 yard season in 14 games.
  14. I deleted that post because I gave incorrect information. I'm not sure where we are at ppg. Regardless, what's interesting about last year is the change in kickoff rules where a touchback gave you the 30. That really increases the likelihood of scoring more than you'd think. Let's say you gain 30 yards on a drive and go to the opponents 40. Odds are pry more than 50% you're either going to go for it or kick the field goal in this situation. If the ball was at the opponents 45 you're pry going to punt in most situations. Since they went to 17 games last year was the most points scored across the league overall.
  15. If you put "most points scored by a nfl team in a season" and then click on ppg tab you'll get the Bills at #22 because they simply rearrange the teams on that page. That number is wrong. If you put in "highest ppg in a single season nfl" then the Bills aren't in the top 25 so I have no clue where they rank. We're not the 16th best offense of all time. We were 10th in yards. We had the best starting field position in the NFL this year and were #3 in red zone offense so it makes sense that we finished 2nd in the league in ppg.
  16. It's the odds of repeatability that's the problem. Odds of all five o-lineman starting every game together except one? Very thin. Odds of committing only 8 turnovers again? Extremely thin. Odds of defense giving us as many short fields as we led the league in starting field position because of forced turnovers? Minuscule. There's a reason we were 2nd in points scored but only 10th in yards. A viable solution would've been to trade a 2nd and a 5th or 6th to Seattle for DK Metcalf and still being able to address defense in the draft. I'm not fretting about only drafting one DT and one CB instead of two at each position.
  17. A lot of the scouting reports I read on him was he was a willing blocker which is a nice way of saying he's a below average backer for a TE. Even on passing plays inline physical defenders can make contact with him at the line throwing off the timing of his route. I think that's why Beane mentioned him getting stronger in the off-season. He could be a match up nightmare if he puts on some muscle. It would help him in both blocking and receiving when lined up inline.
  18. Yes. Thanks. It was either Pat or Kyle on my mind with DT's. Strange coincidence that the Bills drafted a player with a first name Deone and a player with the last name Sanders before his kid was taken in the same draft.
  19. It would be nice for the Bills to build a strong enough team where a B+ game by Allen gets them past the Chiefs. I think you can address it by re imagining your defense with some new players especially on the d-line and a minor tweak in philosophy which is why I think McDermott brought in some outside guys to his defensive staff. I agree about the lack of play makers and I doubt Palmer or Moore move the needle. However, I didn't think Mack Hollins and James Cook would step up as big as they did in the AFC Championship game last year so who knows. I'd sacrifice TJ Williams and Chase Lundt if it meant getting DK Metcalf but I digress. As far as criticism of Allen goes, if you're the highest paid player in the league you should be scrutinized as long as its fair. I couldn't care less about the fragility of the fan base. Regardless of how our defense played he still had the ball down three with a chance to win the game. The offense didn't come through either time. Allen's also 0-5 in overtime when the offense has had the ball needing a TD to win. There's room for growth.
  20. This thread took a bizarre turn. I kind of like it.
  21. We're going to have to agree to disagree. I don't want that entitled and cocky kid within 100 miles of Orchard Park.
  22. Good memory. I didn't know that WR ever existed. I think he caught it between like four Bills. I just remember them completing a 4th and forever the last drive and then winning it with no time left after four straight passes to the end zone. Not sure if it was Leftwich or Garrard.
  23. Browns just gave him a $230m fully guaranteed contract out of habit.
