  1. If the Bills are going to be a serious contender this year they need to trade for an Aiyuk, Higgins, or Jefferson. If not, then they need to make a massive trade up to get one of those top three WR prospects. That's the only way this team competes for a Super Bowl this year and it sucks if it doesn't happen.
  2. With the 21st pick, the Miami Dolphins select Byron Murphy, DT, Texas. The offensive line definitely needs to be addressed for this abhorrent franchise but it's hard passing on Byron Murphy in this spot. He should provide some much needed interior pass rush pop that was lost when Wilkins signed with the Raiders. The Philadelphia Eagles @HappyDays are on the clock.
  3. So it's not a pick that you hope the team will make that helps out the Bills the most? I guess the Dolphins won't be taking a first round punter this year.
  4. All the Bills day three picks.
  5. They need to reduce the rookie contracts by a year with a 4th year option for first round picks. Extension talks can start after two seasons. It's too brutal of a sport to have to wait four years just to get your second contract if you vastly outperform it.
  6. Fish, Steelers, Jets
  7. They'll re-coup some of that dead cap so it's not a tremendous hit. Good on the Lions for releasing him as I'm also against strangling someone.
  8. That's a good point but I think if they do draft him they'll have projections of him lining up at both DT and DE (on possible run downs) depending to get him in the field at least more than 50% of the snaps. I'm not a fan of it but I think that's what they had in mind when they drafted Basham albeit he was primary a DE. I just don't see them passing him up if he falls that far. Too good of a player.
  9. It happened on Bass's field goal attempts 5.88% last season and 6.25% the season before. None his first two seasons. It's a problem for him for whatever reason.
  10. I never gave it much thought but why not snap it 10 or so yards on shorter kicks if blocks are a problem? Mess with normal rhythm/routing of the snap/kick? Make it more likely for the defender rushing from the edge to block it because he has a better angle?
  11. The Bills knew very on in the process that even in the worse years you'd still fill out a 63k capacity stadium for almost all the games. It's one of the main reasons it's not 72k like we have now. That and more room for luxury boxes. The outdoor stadium decision still baffles me though. This has pry been covered before but how hard would it be to eventually put a roof on it?
  12. Per Ryan Talbot.... Beane loves his ex Panthers.
  13. Probably because most of the teams featured didn't make it to the playoffs the previous two seasons so not making it to a Super Bowl isn't surprising. Also, with that kind of logic we never made the Super Bowl because we weren't featured on Hard Knocks.
  14. I don't think any of them were serious candidates but just floating their names out there gave some publicity to his campaign.
  15. NFL has changed qualifications for Hard Knocks meaning the Bills are eligible to be forced to do it this summer as they removed the playoff criteria. Here are the only teams that aren't qualified. They have a first-year head coach in place. They're participating in the in-season show during the upcoming year or the following season. They have appeared on "Hard Knocks" in the past eight years. They apparently will also feature an In Season Hard Knocks where they'll follow four teams in a division. It's doubtful the AFC East will be chosen this year since the Fish did it last year and the Jets were in the summer addition. I used to be against it because of the possible distraction but it's not like avoiding the show has led to a Super Bowl birth. I would enjoy the behind the scenes stuff and get a better sense of the personalities of the coaches and players. Would be curious if you guys would welcome it or think it's too big of a distraction.
  16. Hard pass and I liked him coming out of the draft because he sounded like a Harry Potter character. I'll let someone else take that chance coming off a torn ACL and a torn Achilles. Maybe the Rams give him $8.5m. We'll find someone through the draft and if that doesn't come to fruition sign someone like Murray like we did last year. I'm holding out hope for Zeke Elliott personally.
  17. True and Diggs was basically our first round pick in 2020. His best WR acquisitions besides that have come in free agency with Brown and Beasley. Shakir and Gabe are good day finds on day 3 to fill that WR3/4 role. Now he has to show he can draft the eventual next WR1 for this team and this has to be the draft he does it in.
  18. I like it. I want football seven days a week. All in Prime Time on a million different streaming services just so the whining goes to an all time high but the NFL will still pull in massive profits because we will still watch.
  19. Just kick it through the end zone to get it at the 30. Either way scoring will go up which is what the NFL wants.
  20. As long as he didn't bet on a basketball game at the facility he should be fine. As for the Fins even entertaining signing OBJ signals to me they're going to invest on the o-line in day one and/or two of the draft. They have to given the lack of quality free agents still available at their main position of need. Should be good news for us if we are targeting a WR.
  21. The owner shouldn't make football comments if he's not the GM. We're lucky we don't have a meddling owner.
  22. Harris doesn't want to end up like him. That's for sure. Smart to get out now so you can get out of bed at 50.
  23. Ralph is cheap.
  24. What specifically did the Colts do differently to finally get past the Pats in the 2000's? What did the 49ers do differently to finally get past the Cowboy's in the 90's? They kept tweaking personnel but the GM/Head Coach/QB remained the same. They just kept working on it each off-season to try and put themselves in that position again and the ball finally bounced their way. We may look back 10 years from now and realize how stupid it would've been if we didn't stay the course.
