None of Hamlin, Edwards and Bishop are pro bowl caliber. But you're paying Edwards 2.8M in cap which is more than the other 2 combined. Did his preseason injury really knock him back this much?
I stopped trying to figure out McDermott a long time ago. What's the deal with Elam, Edwards, Hines, Harty, Samuel? Are they all just camp bodies? Mike's making nearly $3M this year to be a 3rd string safety?
Completely agree...during Josh's first 2 years in Buffalo, our OL was weak and he trained himself to burst from the pocket early. In the subsequent years for the most part Josh had more open wrs. Acquiring Cooper will allow other wrs to get open. And this should reduce 17's urge to bolt the pocket. Because of his first few years in the league, this part of his game is just in his DNA.
The NFL loves to ride a supreme qb as their marketing champion. It was Brady for 2 decades and now it's Mahomes. And as an added bonus you have the Swiftie narrative. If other teams don't stand a fair chance, what's the point of watching?
Franklin was a 2nd round rated wr who fell to the 4th for whatever reason you want to choose. You can't convince me that taking Carter over Franklin helped replace Diggs/Davis. Especially since our run defense is ranked in the bottom of the NFL. I was screaming for Troy halfway thru the 3rd but I also knew McD couldn't help himself and he'd go defense. Franklin was that perfect X wr to compliment Coleman. We're not going to see a heavy wr draft like that for awhile.
I look at Greg exactly like Tremaine and Gabe. They were good but never great players who unfortunately were too inconsistent. He jumps out of the gate with 3 sacks then hasn't touched a qb since. I'm not giving 20M / yr to that kind of player. We made the right decision on Edmunds/ Davis and we'll do the same with Groot. That tree just isn't growing.
I agree...games are on constantly. Now they're on multiple streaming channels. Refs need to be restrained by the league. It's almost like for every flag it's a TV opportunity for them. I don't mind a little nba load management if it leads to a healthier playoff team & championship. I agree with @Shaw66 that the product as a whole is down. Announcers like Michaels are aging out. Young kids are not playing pop warner football anymore so with each year the college pool will be diminished.
I've always said you've gotta have 4 elements. An elite HC & QB. And a quality pass receiver (Kelce) and pass rusher (Jones). Those are the 4 boxes you have to check off.
Maybe because he missed that 1 fg out of 17 attempts. What a train wreck. Bills fans and our GM need to strive for 100%.
I wanted Mevis too. At least he has range. Tyler's range is basically 42 yards.
He was available this weekend. His name is Matt Coghlin and he was the top kicker in the UFL for Memphis. He was 94% 16/17 with a long of 57 yards. He's been available all summer and he's better than this Havrisik guy?? Come on Brandon, do your homework. Now the Jets are working him out after Zuerlien's meltdown.
He's checked out. The organization is making panic moves with Saleh, Hackett & Adams. They screwed up royally in the off season with Riddick. I just think Aaron thought this collection of players would be better than it's ended up. He's done after this year.
