It’s a safe bet that 2 of these NC kids will be on our team after the draft.

Yup. We are a team that can take that “luxury” pick RB and 30 is exactly where you want to do it. People get too caught up pretending that we’re Hoodie and will never value the position or insists that we’re always going to trade down. It’s pretty tiresome to be honest. The way we have addressed the position hasn’t worked and it needs to be fixed.

I’m seeing the DT from NC being mocked to us in the 2nd. That would be very Beane-like.

We could also fall in love with the NC kid. That’s likely our fall back position if no one falls to us or we can’t trade up. Beane is pretty predictable in all honesty and there’s definitely been previous leaks because we knew who we were drafting every year since he’s been there.

Oh, so the Steelers are 24. This is starting to make a little sense now. So if we actually like Harris, I would probably try to trade up right in front of the Jets at 22 if he is still on the board at 20. We probably don’t have the ammo to get in front of Miami.

Too many unknowns. Yeah, ATL could really clean house if they trade down but I’m not convinced anyone really wants to trade up for Fields. I could see Carolina passing on him too. If that happens, he could slip pretty far.....like embarrassingly far.

Yes. Someone good could fall to 30, but someone GREAT could fall to 26 and I think it will be very difficult for us to stay put when that happens.

Apparently there isn’t a DT worth taking at 30. That’s what others here have said. My gut tells me that we’ll have to move up at least 3 or 4 spots because I don’t see the 4 QB’s going first. I could see ATL and Carolina passing in Fields. That could end up screwing us up a bit.

The Jets aren’t taking a QB and ATL might not either.

It’s possible that 3 other teams were trying to move up and they were pressured to do it now. It also wouldn’t appear that TE is their target since ATL is likely to take him. This I agree with.

Because all of the DE’s suck so they have to go either RB, CB, or WR and you’re not getting the best one at 30.

People are just being silly. Value doesn’t matter at all this year. We need 2 players from this draft that will help us get to the next step. It doesn’t matter at all “where” we draft these players. The only smokescreen here would be getting Javonte NC to slip to us. We’re definitely taking a RB.

They’ll have to get ahead of the Steelers if they want him. People keep saying this but there hasn’t been a single pre-draft smokescreen from this regime.

I was hoping we’d be sure so I could skip the regular season but now you don’t seem to be sure. Will we know by preseason? That would be very reassuring.

Last year I think it was 2nd quarters. This year 3rd. Rarely have we put together 4 solid quarters. Maybe 2 or 3 times.

I sure hope Trump runs again. Turnout would be through the roof and Dems would increase their margins. I expect him to “pretend” to run so he can shield himself from legal battles and raise money for the next few years. At some point in the next year, the GOP has to throw the guy overboard.
